While continuing to work in the television & movie industry for several decades, I ventured into photography. My career focused on the moving image but my heart sought the individual moments, the individual frames. The perspectives were the same; to better understand how light and shadows help tell a story and define a moment. This is now a pursuit to help you document your priceless moments & story.

Larry went above & beyond to capture the best day of our lives. Besides being timely and professional, he was so kind. He put us at ease and kept the process of taking pictures fun, even when my dress became uncomfortable later in the day. Our wedding guests loved Larry and he got such beautiful candid shots of them. I look at his pictures and I still get a little teary!

Love, Melissa
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
Manhattan, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,000

I've taken everything I learned in photo school and used it to influence my wedding photography. The end result? Images that feel effortlessly cool, timeless, and personal. I work in a way that encourages you and your partner to interact with each other and be yourselves, instead of focusing on me and my camera.

Melissa made my special day stress free and fun. I expressed to her we were awkward and didn’t know how to pose and she responded with “I specialize in awkward.” She made us feel so comfortable and photogenic. She went above and beyond because my wedding outfit didn’t come in time and offered to split the session. I can’t wait to work with her again!

  • Serves Manhattan, NY

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
Justin was incredible from start to finish. He had every detail of our wedding down, was consistently a joy to work/communicate with and gave us photos that we'll treasure for the rest of our lives. Cannot recommend him enough!

Absolutely amazing!! The photographer and videographer made my wedding so special. They were on time and they got right to work. I didn't have to think about poses because they knew exactly how to pose us. They also were super funny and would make us laugh which was great for the photos. Another great thing about them was they made sure to get everyone into the pictures. No one at the wedding was not photographed. Everyone that was at my wedding is in a few photos which is very important. One of my favorite parts of the night was when it started snowing and I asked the photographer if he would be willing to take pictures of us in the snow. He was more then willing. Both him and the videographer out their jackets on and went into the cold and took numerous pictures. They posed us and everything. The photos came out GORGEOUS. Also the trailer and highlight videos? SO GOOD!!!!!! I absolutely love them. Such talent!!! Everyone at my wedding is racing about how great everything came out. I honestly can't recommend them enough.

Millie Elangbam Photography

  • Serves Manhattan, NY

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. My journey has naturally directed me toward wedding photography, enabling me to translate your love into art. To me, nothing compares to distilling love into photographs.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had been eyeing Millie Elangbam's photography long before we even considered doing a City Hall wedding. Once we decided on a City Hall wedding, we immediately reached out to Millie in hopes of booking her to photograph it. And we're so glad we did! Millie was extremely organized and communicative throughout the whole process. When we brought up some accessibility concerns with the City Clerk building, she was proactive in getting more information for us so that we could be well-prepared on the day of. As we went through the plan for the day, her experience with City Hall weddings was evident as she accounted for our entire time together, basically down to the minute. She was also super transparent on the parts of the schedule that were not as concrete, which we appreciated. On the day of, Millie was prompt and really great at moving things along so that we stayed on schedule. She was also really wonderful at helping us keep track of moving parts (i.e. family members) and making sure everyone was where they needed to be when they needed to be there, all while taking beautiful photos of our special day. The sneak peek photos came very soon after the wedding day, with the full gallery coming pretty soon after that. We were so happy with the quick turnaround, and even happier with the photos and how they came out :) Our family and friends loved the photos as well. We're so grateful to Millie for all of her help and would highly recommend booking her!

After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

Awarded Best of Zola
Emma Cleary Photo and Video was an absolute joy to work with. They captured all of the romantic energy, the emotions, and every little detail in between that was so important to us. From our first interaction, Emma delivered such a reassuring feeling and the decision to book them was instantaneous. Subsequent to booking, Emma was extremely responsive, helpful, reassuring, and professional. She and her team made us feel completely at ease and comfortable in front of the camera, which allowed them to capture the most stunning, candid moments throughout our special day (which we aren’t normally the most photogenic). Our lead photographer was Asya, who photographed with Kate and our videographers were George and Kamil. Each and every one of them brought such a calming presence and genuine excitement that we couldn't imagine our wedding day without them. The dedication and passion they have was evident upon meeting them, and they backed it up with the stunning photos and videos they delivered. We have spent hours looking at the final products they have sent us, and we really could not be happier. Our day would not have been as special without them.

We are a married couple of photographers. Within years of career, we discovered what’s really matters - we want to make people happy. Weddings have it all: new interesting people, touching stories, warm family relationships, tears. A lot of tears! Oh, don’t forget dances and sparklers! So, it’s fun! 🙂 Also, we love weddings because it’s the most challenging kind of photography in the field, it combines all the genres. It make you think, move and react quickly in constantly changing surrounding. We have no room for mistakes. So It’s never boring! 🙂

They were quick to respond to all of our questions leading up to our wedding and also helped us organize our day-of-timeline in a way that allowed us to get all of the photos that we wanted while also providing us with plenty of time to be present and have fun with friends and family. Tati and Roman made us and all of our friends and family feel comfortable when taking photos and provided guidance when needed to ensure that we got the perfect shots. We were blown away when we got our wedding photos and are so happy with how they turned out! Tati and Roman captured all of the beautiful and authentic moments from that night and you can feel the love that was in the room. We cannot thank Tati and Roman enough and are so happy that we were able to work with them.

Our pictures came out beautifully, in what I feel is record time compared to my peers’ experiences with photographers, and now have our happiest moments with friends and family captured for us to look back at in the future. hello, we're jarrod and taylor. we originate from florida and now live in new york city documenting love stories across the US and beyond. our journey began 8 years ago when we realized that wedding photography was the most fulfilling thing to us. we like to describe our approach as documentary with an editorial flare. about 80% of the day we are capturing your day as it naturally unfolds in a beautiful way. the other 20% we love to prompt you to create romantic images that have intention and feeling. we love to tell you story as authentically as we can.

Awarded Best of Zola
People often debate what's most important for a wedding: is it the venue, the food, the flowers... ?  It's the memories, and putting them in the hands of artists who can show you the heart and soul and feel of every moment - moments you can't plan for, you can never adequately take in, and many you would simply miss. Jarrod and Taylor are certainly technically gifted photographers and videographers, but more importantly they are artists whose true love is capturing yours.  The name says it all: The Narrative. My bride Ali and I will be forever grateful that we found and convinced them to tell our story.  I could imagine a thousands different weddings, but none without them by our side. Thank you, Jarrod and Taylor, you beautiful humans, for your truly awesome and unbelievable care, vision, and talents.  You've given us more than we could have ever imagined or even hoped for, through your perfect lens. With love and a lifetime of gratitude, Mike & Ali

When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

She captured us in our true moments, not staged, and the photos turned out beyond amazing. So beautiful, natural, and full of life. Loved the Polaroid and film shots too. She was so kind and genuine, and having her there made me feel calm, happy, and truly cared for. So lucky she was our photographer.

I photograph weddings for couples who want something emotionally real and visually distinct — not overly polished. I am more likely to accept bookings with sooner dates - I cannot book further than 1 year out.

I wish I could leave more stars! We had a vision of taking fun photos in the bar we met for our engagement and Bri brought that vision to the next level! She’s an artist and a professional, who really listens and takes care in every shot. She not only made sure we were happy with the experience but she let us in the process to make sure we would capture what we wanted. I’m an extremely camera shy bride but you would never know from looking at the end result. Bri made me feel so confident and comfortable. I forgot about the camera pressure or how my body might look because I trusted her and the process, and i’m so happy I did. Even the playlist she had set the right vibe and we could really relax to get photos that feel like us!

What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place. A wedding is a destination in the journey of life, perhaps the most important one.

Her ability to make you feel super comfy and like you really belong is one of her best qualities. And that's so important when you're as awkward as I am haha. As a photographer, her talent truly can't be beat and I look forward to getting to scroll through her beautiful work! I'll always recommend her whenever I know anyone that needs a photographer!!

Edward Dye Photography was an amazing choice for our wedding photographer. From our initial consultation, Edward demonstrated an efficient communication style, ensuring we were on the same page every step of the way. On the day of our wedding, Edward helped to smooth the flow of the event, arriving as early as 9 am to capture our tea ceremony. We had an hour-long conversation beforehand to make sure the schedule was exactly what we wanted. The quality of Edward's work was truly amazing, and we are thrilled with the beautiful photos that captured all the special moments of our big day. We highly recommend Edward Dye Photography to any couple looking for a professional, reliable, and talented wedding photographer.

Hi, I'm Lucia! As a photojournalist and documentary photographer, I capture weddings, elopements, and engagements with raw emotion, cinematic storytelling, and an editorial edge. I focus on creating images that are as real, timeless, and personal as your love story. We'll go beyond classic poses. It's the intimate glances, the sidekick laughter, the never-ending hugs, the tears of joy, and those moments of pure connection what I love capturing. Whether it’s the intimacy of an elopement, the excitement of an engagement, or the energy of a full wedding, I preserve the emotions that make your day unforgettable. Lucia was simply a wonder to have on our wedding day. The communication before and during the event was amazing and we had plenty of time to do pictures before walking down the aisle. She then captured our ceremony and our party in such a perfect way. We are in absolute awe. The photos are so emotional, and we are so happy to have these incredible moments with our family documented forever.
