I've taken everything I learned in photo school and used it to influence my wedding photography. The end result? Images that feel effortlessly cool, timeless, and personal. I work in a way that encourages you and your partner to interact with each other and be yourselves, instead of focusing on me and my camera.

My experience in photo school enables me to see each moment as a work of art. The authenticity of a moment should never be sacrificed for the sake of "a shot". I'll never force you to keep taking photos if you're not feeling it. Quality over quantity.

Melissa is THE BEST!
We couldn’t have asked for a better photographer than Melissa! She was so easy to work with every step of the way. She was responsive and organized but more importantly, you could tell that she genuinely wanted to make our day as special as possible. Neither of us are used to being photographed, but she created a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere which made it all feel natural and even fun. ("Flirty hands!") She truly has a gift for capturing genuine moments without making anything feel forced. And our photos turned out absolutely stunning! Everything is beautifully composed and full of emotion. Each time I look back at our photos, I just remember how happy we felt in each of those moments. I truly cannot recommend Melissa enough. Hiring her was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! 3

Seamless and Fun
Melissa made my special day stress free and fun. I expressed to her we were awkward and didn’t know how to pose and she responded with “I specialize in awkward.” She made us feel so comfortable and photogenic. She went above and beyond because my wedding outfit didn’t come in time and offered to split the session. I can’t wait to work with her again!
