“I was so overwhelmed when I first started looking for florists for our wedding. There are so many options, and I didn’t even know where to start until I found Poppy. They break down the process and steps, making it super easy, almost to the point that it doesn’t feel real. To start, you meet with a floral consultant where you talk through your wedding details, the vibe you’re going for, the general needs, etc. Then they walk you through a list of various wedding floral options: bouquets, table arrangements, signage florals, ceremony florals, etc., and you start to narrow down what you want. In each section, they have a grouping of photos, and you can either select something from that or ask for more options. You can also tweak what they have shown (I picked florals that had eucalyptus in them and requested everything be switched to ruscus). After that, you have a while to go back in and adjust until a deadline, but they accommodated some last-minute adds I had as well. Our consultant was Sophia, and she was super responsive and wonderful to work with. Closer to the wedding, you get assigned a local florist who does the actual designing/styling and installing, and we were lucky enough to get Ron, who matched our inspo images EXACTLY. Everything was so beautiful, and I was so in love with my bouquet. He was also incredibly nice and set everything up so quickly. If you’re looking for something to make the whole floral selection easy, simple, and beautiful (also super transparent with costs), definitely go with Poppy!!”

“Alina did my bridal trial in May and then makeup for me, my mother, my maid of honor and my now wife. I really struggled to find a makeup artist whose work was elegant and timeless. Everyone I had seen before meeting Alina was applying makeup in a very heavy handed way, which just didn't suit the style we were going for. Alina did a wonderful job, everyone's makeup stayed on all day, even though we got married on a hot, humid D.C day. His organization and professionalism were top notch - and filling out the "must play" and "must not play" lists was really fun to do - we got to think about all of our favorite songs that we were excited to hear, and make sure he knew which songs were off limits for us. Because of that, our wedding felt super personalized, and we loved every song that played! We were also particularly thrilled with his execution of cocktail hour - we requested instrumental versions of modern/classic rock songs, and he found SO MANY great versions of so many great songs. When we talk to family and friends about our wedding, they without fail mention how much they loved the instrumental version of "Wake Me Up Inside" by Evanescence. The level of support and preparation during the pre-wedding stages was above and beyond what we ever expected. Our families and friends are still raving about how fantastic they were on the day-of. We also decided to add on content creation with Teri late in the process, and we are SO glad we did. She was amazing—funny, kind, unobtrusive, and everywhere at once without ever feeling like a camera was in our faces. A couple of days after the wedding, we received our raw video dump, and it is worth every single penny. I’ve spent hours reliving the day through all the behind-the-scenes moments she captured with our guests, family, and wedding party. She didn’t miss a thing. We can’t wait to see the short-form content she creates, but honestly, the raw footage alone already exceeded our hopes. We are genuinely obsessed with this team. I did a trial with Aida a few months beforehand and what she did on my wedding day was event BETTER than the trial! Everyone looked amazing, and she and her team were so helpful and adaptable to what everyone needed. They made us all feel and look beautiful. They used high quality products, they gave us all beautiful false lashes, and they gave us all little Touch up kits. When we did the trial Aida gave me excellent advice for how to take care of my skin. My dry skin is very tricky so when I still had issues by wedding day she whipped out all her amazing products and worked her magic to help make a better canvas for the makeup. She also worked MAGIC on short hair. We were all in awe of what she could do with our two party members who didn’t have much hair to work with. And they worked their magic on multiple skin tones from pale to Latina to black. Everything lasted all night through humidity and a breeze. zero complaints! Cannot recommend Senema beauty enough!”

“I was incredibly fortunate to have Xiao as the photographer for our wedding registration photos at the NGA. She is not only an exceptionally talented photographer but also an absolute pleasure to work with. I had participated in several professional photoshoots before, I can honestly say that it is rare to meet a photographer who takes the time to learn about our story, understand what we value, and discover our personal style in order to create a truly meaningful and tailored experience. Her photographs are truly works of art. The way she captures the interplay of light, architecture, portraiture, and emotion is extraordinary. “WOW. Our wedding day was a dream and so much more because of the phenomenal Milton Ridge team. Absolutely every person at MR from the coordination team, photography team, catering, DJ, and beyond is so incredibly professional, caring, detail-oriented, and focused on making your day and you and your partner feel so truly special. We have a million compliments to give to this amazing staff. It felt like they were all celebrating with us! Meaghan and Moriana not only helped plan and coordinate our day beautifully, they were so excited for us all day and made sure we weren’t worried about anything, making sure to have everything ready for us, even strategically got our one guests safely an ambulance to the ER before the ceremony (and back before first dance!) and made sure every single moment of our day ran smoothly. Feldy and Mira made the best photographers we could have hoped for. They were adamant about getting us the shots we wanted and Mira was just priceless with her joy for the photos they were taking!! She and Feldy have us so excited to see our photos!!! Our DJ, Tyler was just wonderful, made our night with some great music and had our guests dancing all night long! One moment I will never forget is running to the office to get something an few hours before guests arrived and feeling caught up in my nerves, but then hearing the catering staff laughing with each other while preparing our food. It totally snapped me out of my nerves and brought me back to the moment, reminding me to enjoy it all. The food was insanely delicious by the way, so many compliments from guests too! Highly recommend the fajita buffet!! Hubby and I are still chowing down on the leftovers 2 days after our wedding! I also want to mention how happy it made us to see Moriana, Mira, and the girls and guys serving drinks dancing to the music, enjoying the night, while providing us with everything we could want and more!!! The ultimate professional wedding team is right here at Milton Ridge!! Can’t thank you all enough. We are so grateful we chose this venue, will be recommending it to all of our engaged friends, and will never stop talking about the day of our dreams that you all helped make possible.”

She guided us through tasting samples and consultation calls with so much care, always staying considerate of our needs, making customizations, and advising us exactly where necessary. While our Red Velvet cake was absolutely delicious on the inside, and she added extra cookies to the cake after our follow-up consultation. We learned a tough lesson about deep-colored frosting. Cheryl warned us about the impacts of using heavy dye to achieve a burgundy exterior (as we wanted to avoid fondant), and we should have listened! The exterior ended up with a bit of a chemical taste and stained everything it touched. Take our advice: Cheryl knows her stuff! If she makes a suggestion on color or texture, trust her expertise—you’ll be in great hands. Aside from our own misunderstanding, the service and cake quality were wonderful.”
