When I take photographs, my goal is to stay as true to the moment as possible. Hopefully, when you look at my photos years down the road, you won't just say "that's how we looked", instead you'll say "that's how we were". I love photographing - brides laughing with bridesmaids and close friends, champagne toasts (or whiskey), the point in the night when everyone switches from high heels to flip flops (or converse), drunk dancing, and, most importantly, stolen glances across crowded rooms. Because this is real life. YOUR LOVE STORY IS UNIQUE AND ONE OF A KIND - SO SHOULDN’T YOUR WEDDING PHOTOS BE AS WELL?

One of the best decisions we made with our wedding was to hire Darcy. From our very first phone call she impressed us with her desire to get to know us as a couple, the research she had already done about our venue and wedding day (including looking up the time of sunset a year in advance!), and her warmth. Through the whole process she was organized and communicative. On our wedding day, she did an amazing job making everyone feel comfortable around the camera. She managed to be incredibly kind while making sure everything ran on time. She got us our photos in record time and they are absolutely amazing! We could not have asked for a better photographer to capture our special day.

Someone recommended Darcy to us so we reached out to see if she would be a good match for our special day. Darcy was friendly, communicative, and detail oriented. She asked a lot of questions in order to understand what we wanted for our wedding. She arrived on time, gave clear instructions when shooting group photos, but also captured the natural flow of the wedding. She had a good mixture between "scheduled" shots, and "in the moment" pics. We loved her style, and just from the pictures you can feel the emotions of the wedding. The picture quality was incredible. These are some of the clearest pictures we have ever seen. The pictures were processed very quickly after our wedding as well. Not to mention, Darcy seems to really enjoy what she does. She puts her heart into the whole process. We thoroughly enjoyed having her with us during the process. We will be recommending her services to those who ask in the future!

Darcy was an absolute pleasure to work with and we LOVE our photos. She truly captured the emotions of the day and the essence of all the people we love the most. Any time i look at our photos, i find myself involuntarily smiling. She captured the classic posed photos AND the precious in-between moments where people are being their most authentic selves (the face my dad makes when he's really intently listening, the hand gestures my mom uses when she's explaining something and can't find the right words, the face my mother in law makes when she's cracking herself up, the face my father in law makes right before the tears fall, and so so many more). Not ONLY are her photos amazing, but she made us feel so relaxed on the day-of. Her style is totally unobtrusive, which is just what we needed. Darcy got such amazing photos of all our guests we put 4x6" prints in our thank you cards and people were SO appreciative. She's on fridges across America. Comments we've gotten in response to Darcy's photos: "WOW your photographer is phenomenal", "this is the best photo of us in existence", "you guys look so happy!", "I feel like the photographer really captured your personalities" If capturing joy is important to you, hire Darcy. My only regret is getting her for 7 hours instead of 9.
