Hi, I’m Carla, a legally authorized wedding officiant based in the Washington D.C. area. I’m all about creating moments that feel genuine and joyful. While I primarily serve the District of Columbia, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia, I’m always up for an adventure. I’m passport ready and happy to travel wherever love takes you. For couples coming from out of town, I can help set up your elopement, connect you with trusted local vendors, and guide you through the marriage license process so everything feels smooth and stress-free.

I’m not just here to officiate. I’m here to honor your version of love. Every couple I work with has a different story, and that’s what makes this work so beautiful. I take the time to listen, to learn what matters to you, and to craft a ceremony that feels honest, joyful, and true to who you are. I work with all kinds of couples: spiritual, non-religious, interfaith, LGBTQ+, multicultural. I’ve had the joy of honoring many different traditions and ways of celebrating love. Whether you're blending beliefs or creating your own path, I’ll meet you with openness and care. I also offer bilingual ceremonies in English and Portuguese.

Wedding Officiant Review - Amor Celebrant
10/10 Experience with Carla from the planning calls to the day of our wedding Carla was on it. My now husband and I did not want to speak our vows but still wanted to incorporate our story and we loved Carla's format. Carla created a love story based on our answers and it was so beautiful once she read it. Carla also translated our ceremony and appreciated her due diligent in making sure both families could understand the vows. Carla dressed so professional and was on time and flexible with our ceremony set up. Thank you Carla for officiating one of the best days of our lives!! Carla really is that good!

Lovely
Working with Amor Celebrant was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding day. They stayed in constant touch through email and text, keeping us updated on every detail leading up to the ceremony. Very cordial and thorough
From our first conversation, Amor Celebrant made the whole process feel simple and stress-free. She was friendly and courteous every step of the way, handling all the details so we didn't have to worry about anything. Exceptional Service
