“Lissa and her team was absolutely wonderful from the initial contact up to the end of our wedding day! No matter what kind of wedding you're having, she will make you and your partner feel like you have all of her attention as the most important couple. Throughout the whole process, she was so professional and supportive, even with not as traditional ideas. She had such a quick response time, usually within a day, or a couple hours, and sometimes even sooner! Her attention to detail in making my timeline was also amazing and I felt that we were able to have the whole day planned to the dot before the big day. On the wedding day, she made sure everything ran so smoothly and we were not stressed out at all! We had some small hiccups with the layouts that our venue had set up, but a quick word from Lissa had them fixing the issue. She's the perfect amount of assertiveness, professionalism, and friendliness with everyone, including the guests. The largest thing that stood out to us was how much all of our other vendors loved Lissa and working with her, and we could see it throughout the day. Our venue had restrictions such as a short setup window, but Lissa communicated with them and navigated the situation very well to make everything go smoothly. Even though we had a venue management person for the day of, it was nothing compared to working with someone that truly focuses on you and your needs. Our vision was captured beautifully, and we do not regret hiring her at all!”

“I’m basically speechless. This company is truly so amazing! They made all my wedding dreams come true and they are top notch with service ensuring my husband and I were taken care of! Always ensuring we have a drink in hand and snack or meal when and if needed! They took care of us in EVERY ASPECT! Even to the point I was able to walk down the aisle and the manger on site from simply fresh that day noticed my pocket of my wedding dress was sticking out so I was able to fix it before going down the aisle, so glad she told me because my pocket sticking out in all the photos of a once in a lifetime moment would have really not been great! They have incredible communication from before you book, after you book the tasting and just being flexible for meeting and walk through! The food was incredible (like seriously INCREDIBLE) and they ensured EVER single detail was exactly as I dreamed! I really am so happy I booked with simply fresh and would over and over 100 times again!!! If your unsure about to to book with for catering stop looking now and book simply fresh I’m the most sure you will not regret it! Wish we had some pictures of the food. All of the food was plated beautifully! Even our salad had eatable flowers! (I mean come on) and I really just could not have asked for anything more from simply fresh! For our cocktail hour we did crab cakes, stuffed mushrooms and bruschetta! For dinner we did a garden salad, a chicken option, a steak option and a veggie option they were all to die for! “It's hard to do anything but rave aboutUche and her team - Uche is incredibly creative, a consumate professional, and moreover just an all around awesome human being to work with. From the beginning, she was super responsive and took the time to help me figure out the look for my wedding (I wasn't starting from much - just knew I wanted a "secret garden" type feel). In our first conversation alone I knew she had a vision, and told her to go with it. The execution was so far above and beyond our expectations that words can't describe it. I loved and really appreciated the thoughtful proposal Uche put together (and changed several times at my annoying requests), but I really couldn't have imagined how beautiful everything would be the day of. We got married at District Winery, and Uche and her team took FULL advantage of the blank canvas-esque space, complete with hanging greenery installations and the most beautiful altar piece I've ever seen. My bouquet was also gorgeous - as were my bridesmaids', and the boutonnieres were amazing. I honestly had friends coming up to me telling me they loved the florals even more than what they had at their own weddings! Not only was the end result day-of perfect, but I know that Uche and her team worked tirelessly to get it done. When we had our rehearsal at the venue the afternoon before, they were there getting a head start (what other wedding vendor would do that!?) I could go on forever about how incredible Uche is (like the fact that she hosted my mom and I at her studio for over an hour to patiently talk through details, even as she was prepping for a big wedding the next day), but the bottom line is that if you want top notch creativity and professionalism all in one, you can't go wrong with Designs by Oochay. One final thing - a friend/guest of ours happened to be a former client of Uche's, and Uche made a specific point to find her at the end of the evening to say hello and give her a hug (which my friend was super excited about), even though it was after midnight and she was trying to disassemble everything - which I thought truly showed how warm and gracious she is, as well as how much her former clients love her!”

“On April 13, 2024, we held our wedding and reception at the Gaithersburg Marriott Washingtonian Center. During the planning of our wedding, we worked with Amy, Sonia, and finally Katherine to create our ideal day. All were very pleasant, knowledgeable, flexible and accommodating with our arrangements, and were very responsive answering numerous questions that we had. The wedding set up was exactly as discussed and the transition from outdoor to indoor on the day of the wedding (way too windy a day for an outdoor ceremony) was seamless, thanks to the wonderful staff! The reception area, bar, and food was set up exactly as had been discussed and the food was delicious! All of the guests commented on how wonderful the food and staff were. Staff also was very helpful with connecting our music through the hotel's WIFI system. We were even given a room for dressing and preparing for the ceremony. The atmosphere was very relaxed and professional (but not stuffy) and we never felt rushed or anxious about any of the arrangements. The amount owed was exactly what we had been told so there were no surprises there. Overall, it was a perfect day and the staff and facilities at the Marriott couldn't have been any better. I would not hesitate to hold any future events there, knowing the kind attention paid to every detail to make every event special.”

In addition to using flowers cut from our onsite garden, we utilize a variety of greenery and fruits grown in our orchard or acres of wooded land. Any flowers or materials needed in addition to what we have on the farm, is sourced locally, to continue the support of local farm and business owners.
