I’m Vanessa, a Gaithersburg, MD-based couple + wedding photographer for the wildly in-love. My life was changed by love. Seriously, rocked, rumbled, wrecked, repeat. Okay, it might sound dramatic, but my relationship with my now-husband has truly changed my world and soul for the better. We were lil baby high school sweethearts turned long distance when my husband joined the Marine Corps, and our journey together means absolutely everything to me. I know yours does too, and getting to capture it is the hugest joy and honor.

If there’s anything you need to know about me, it’s that your love story means the world to me. Yes, YOURS. It may look way different than mine, and that’s what makes it SO special. There is so much more to your love story than what is seen on surface level—so many trials and tribulations of life that have strengthened and challenged you to be the couple you are today. I know that joy, and I want to capture it—the joy of knowing that through love, you have grown and blossomed together into something unimaginably beautiful. I am so excited to capture it together. Vanessa Bennish Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding. From the very beginning, Vanessa and her husband Patrick were incredibly responsive, professional, and caring in their communication style. They truly went above and beyond to make my husband and I feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire process. Their work is simply beautiful, with a keen eye for detail and an amazing ability to capture all the special moments of our big day. I cannot recommend Vanessa enough! The photos from our wedding are absolutely stunning — truly everything I dreamed they would be and more. She was incredibly organized, communicative, and on top of every detail from start to finish. I’ve known her for a long time, and getting to work with her on something so special meant the world to me. Vanessa and her husband Patrick (the second shooter) captured every single shot perfectly — nothing was missed! As someone who usually shies away from being in front of the camera, she made me feel so comfortable, confident, and, most importantly- beautiful. She knew exactly how to pose me and my now-husband in our engagement and wedding photos. She is truly gifted. I am completely and utterly obsessed with her and her work. If you’re considering Vanessa for your wedding or any event, do yourself a favor and book her. Not choosing her would be a mistake!
