We are so grateful and glad that we found Myesha at Belton Bliss Events for our wedding. From the first moment we met her, we had a gut feeling that she was the right person to help us, and we were so right. Our wedding was pretty big (140 people) with lots of moving parts, and Myesha was integral to it being the best wedding we could have ever asked for. Our guests raved about how smooth and fun everything was, and we stayed ahead of schedule for almost the entire day. When I asked her mid-day if anything catastrophic had happened, she said "I would never tell you if it had" and I trusted her completely to handle anything that came up. And she did! As a testament to how wonderful Myesha is, and how she will go above and beyond for her couples: At the end of the night, we left the venue for our after party... and about an hour later, we realized Myesha had walked over to tell us that we'd left our cake and leftover food behind! We were prepared to send a family member to grab it, but Myesha instead got our hotel key, ran across town and delivered everything to our room so it was there when we got back from our after-party. Even when I woke up at 4 am on the wedding day with an idea for something I wanted to make happen, she said "Don't worry about it" and made it happen. We love Myesha, and you cannot go wrong hiring her!

Brianna was such a pleasure to work with. I hired her for her day-of coordination as I planned my wedding myself. It was a small, pretty minimalist wedding with 40 guests, but having Brianna coordinate with the vendors, and lead the rehearsal and wedding day was a huge relief during a stressful planning process. She was flexible with helping us plan our timeline earlier than usual and asked us all of the questions that wouldn’t have ever occurred to me. She was super supportive and communicative and helped find me vendors and just so patient with us. Scheduling meetings through her website was a breeze! Being able to see her availability without going back and forth or waiting for confirmations was super helpful. Brianna was a huge help when we learned we couldn’t store our decor at the venue the day before, so after the rehearsal at the venue, she stashed all the decor in her car. The day of our wedding, Brianna and her assistant put the dinner tables exactly as I had shown her, but I was really impressed with how she used our leftover decor for our guestbook table, gift table, and even the bar! It all felt really cohesive and I was impressed by her creativity and her ability to improvise. Brianna was so reassuring and on top of everything and she really made our day run as smoothly as possible!

Jasmine and Shayla were the wedding coordinators of our dreams! Salt & Light's month-of coordination package was perfect for our Durham wedding, which we planned in 8 months (March to November). After picking a venue, booking vendors, ordering décor and invitations, and making so many other choices over the course of the previous 7 months, it was amazing to have these two ladies come in right as we were hitting our wall of exhaustion and overwhelm in the final month before our big day. Putting together a wedding is a sprawling project with so many little details involved, and it can be easy for things to slip through the cracks, even for meticulous/anxious planners like me! Thank goodness for Shayla and Jasmine's experience, expertise, and attention to fine points--they had their eyes on every little thing, and it was so comforting to us to know the two of them had it covered so we didn't have to worry about the small stuff. They gently guided us through making decisions we didn't even know we needed to make, and helped us think through all the moving parts of the wedding day and how the various elements of our plans worked together (this was especially crucial when conceptualizing how our various vendors' needs would weave together into one cohesive schedule). On the day of our wedding, and in the days after, we had several family members and friends comment on how wonderful our coordinators were, and what an excellent job they had done at bringing our wedding to life. In addition to their competence, confidence and professionalism, Jasmine and Shayla are also deeply kind and caring people. They were rooting for us and advocating for our needs throughout those final weeks, through our wedding day, and beyond. The two of them were genuinely invested in our story, our new marriage and our future, and their enthusiasm for making our special event come together was palpable. My name is Jen and I'm the owner of Southern Skies. The name comes from my love of seeing the NC stars on a clear night with its calmness and unfiltered beauty. I've been planning events since I was 16 and been planning professionally since 2014. My goal for Southern Skies is to plan beautiful weddings for amazing couples, help take their stress away and do it with kindness. I'm a true believer that love is love and life is a celebration that always calls for a glass of bubbly! When I'm not planning weddings, you can find me at my laptop with a glass of red wine, brunching with friends or exploring the world.

We were required to use Southern Skies Events by our venue, and it was honestly one of the best things to happen to us during the whole wedding planning process. Right off the bat we were able to utilize them through email and they answered all my questions quickly and helped so much. And then we were matched Sarah.... best wedding planner and day of coordinator ever! Sarah knew what I needed before I even knew it myself. She was incredibly helpful during the three months we worked together up until the big day, and even took it upon herself to go and pick up our wedding cake when there was a major miscommunication on the day of. You know you have a great planner whenever none of the guests, not even the groom, know there's any sort of mishap the day of. One of my favorite memories was right before my outfit change, I was hot and my feet hurt, and just sat down for a moment in the bridal suite to decompress. Before I knew it, Sarah was there helping me out of my heels. Like I said, she knew what I needed before I even knew it myself. 100000% would recommend
