KJ is so incredible at what she does! As a fellow vendor at a recent wedding, one of the best things you can experience is a wedding planner who is clear and supportive and that was definitely the experience with KJ! She went above and beyond to support all vendors, as well as the bride and groom. You can tell her professionalism and experience is top tier. If you're looking for an event planner who has all her ducks in a row, I would highly recommend hiring Blush Oaks Event Co for all your event planning needs.

KJ is a dream to work with from a vendor perspective! She is incredibly organized and ensures that every detail is communicated clearly and accurately well before the big day. On the day of the wedding, she was punctual, professional, and stayed ahead of the timeline. It’s clear she has everything under control, which allows other vendors to do their best work. I look forward to working with her again!

KJ was wonderful during the early planning stages—kind, helpful, and attentive. But on the wedding day, things became disorganized. My family had to take over most of the setup, the room flip, and even the clean-up. I requested an assistant/extra help during the early process for the day because I knew I was a DIY bride, which KJ said she would provide an additional coordinator/decorator for an additional fee, but nothing came of it. The detailed wedding binder I created—which was a guide for the wedding/ceremony layout, NOT a replica of the space. The EXACT instructions were written for the space but I was unable to replicate it on pictures for visibility on canva. The binder was intended to make setup, flipping, and cleanup as easy and clear as possible—was barely used by her. Keep in mind, from the beginning, KJ was aware I was a DIY bride. My family were the one referencing it, and when they told her to use it, she acted unaware of its existence, even though it was emailed to her earlier in the week and we had discussed it beforehand. I provided KJ with all of my vendors, prior to one, well before the week of the wedding and if there were any missing pieces for vendors she reached out to me and I provided her with their information swiftly. I had one last minute vendor for a photo booth that we acquired the week of the wedding as a gift from my family and I provided her their information as soon as I got it. My entrance was also timed much later than planned, and my bridesmaids had to ask her to close the curtains so guests wouldn’t see them while they were lining up. My matron of honor was late for rehearsal, but that had nothing to do with why the day of, KJ didn't close the curtain and execute the process easier and logically for everyone involved. She rushed our photographer and came off with an attitude when we were finalizing our photos. The timeline for the reception was fine overall, even with us taking longer to take our pictures, which we will have forever. Thankfully, guests said everything looked great and ran smoothly, but behind the scenes, it was chaotic. Without my family stepping in, it would have been a huge mess. KJ was nice but the day-of coordination didn’t meet any of our expectations.

Hi TyQwisha, Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I’m glad the early planning stages felt supportive, but I do need to clarify the causes of the issues you described on the wedding day. Despite several members of the bridal party arriving up to 40 minutes late to the rehearsal, I ensured the full recessional and processional were practiced three times. The special entrance with the curtains—chosen at the rehearsal by you—was also practiced. The wedding binder was provided to me eight days before the wedding and arrived missing contact information for three vendors, containing incorrect information for one vendor, and leaving several vendors off the list entirely. I sent multiple texts requesting the missing information so I could properly coordinate, and you suggested an emergency meeting to fill in gaps, which I agreed to. When I learned the extent of DIY décor being brought in via a U-Haul, I strongly recommended additional help. You chose not to hire any. On the wedding day, I followed the digital wedding binder precisely, as that was the information provided by you. For example, a bridesmaid told me you wanted 14 floral arrangements and rose petals down the aisle so guests couldn’t walk on it—yet the binder only showed 6 arrangements. I followed the instructions exactly as documented. Regarding the reception delay: when the Grand Entrance was approaching on the timeline, you, your groom, and the photographer were still outside taking photos. I called the photographer to politely remind her the Grand Entrance was next. She stated you were “just around the corner.” After 10–15 minutes passed and you still had not returned, I called again out of concern. Another 10 minutes passed before you arrived, which set the timeline behind. The level of DIY décor, the amount of setup required, and the full room flip simply cannot be managed by one coordinator without additional hired support. I completed everything that fell within my role, but I cannot do the work of multiple staff members, especially when vendors do not cooperate or arrive late and critical information is missing. These decisions directly impacted the flow of the day. Several vendors from your wedding personally reached out asking to work with me again because of my professionalism and pleasant demeanor. I truly wish your day had felt smoother for you, but the challenges stemmed from decisions and circumstances outside my control, not from a lack of effort or care on my part. -KJ
