My name is Jen and I'm the owner of Southern Skies. The name comes from my love of seeing the NC stars on a clear night with its calmness and unfiltered beauty. I've been planning events since I was 16 and been planning professionally since 2014. My goal for Southern Skies is to plan beautiful weddings for amazing couples, help take their stress away and do it with kindness. I'm a true believer that love is love and life is a celebration that always calls for a glass of bubbly! When I'm not planning weddings, you can find me at my laptop with a glass of red wine, brunching with friends or exploring the world.

My team sets me apart from other planners. I grew up in athletics and played in college, so I feel very strongly about teamwork. Not only with the Southern Skies team I've worked hard to create, but with our couples. When we work together and trust each other, we can create unique, absolutely stunning events that give couples memories to last a lifetime. My team consists of a group of incredibly talented women who are moms, creatives and just genuinely kind. Each comes with their own style, but they all care immensely for the couples they're working with and put their time, blood, sweat and tears into making each wedding day magical.

Description	For the power couple who is excited to celebrate, but don't have always have the time for planning, this package was designed with you in mind. Starting at 12 months, we provide things from venue sourcing and personal vendor recommendations to custom design boards based on your unique personality, style & budget. Enjoy your engagement to the fullest and let us take on the rest!	If you're looking to start the journey on your own but still have a more expert guidance along the way, this package is for you. With our team jumping into the planning with you at 6 months before the big day, you get the same luxuries from the Event Management package, plus the added bonus of more consistent meetings with your planner.	Kicking off 3 months out from your big day, this is made for the planner at heart. You'll dive into the details with guidance from us, and then share your details with our lead planner and their assistant so you can fully relax during the festivities. We'll make sure your vision is executed flawlessly day of. Let us take care of your family & friends so they can spend their time doing more important things- like celebrating you!

A Truly Personal Experience and Perfect Wedding!

We found Southern Skies through a friend’s recommendation and we couldn’t have been happier. We worked with Jen and her assistant Laura. They designed a beautiful wedding full of personal details that we never would have thought of - like having a gelato cart for dessert as a nod to Rome, where we met. Jen was very communicative throughout the entire planning process with e-mail updates, answering our questions, and having virtual and in-person meetings. We were planning remotely and could not have pulled this off without Jen and her team. They helped connect us with our fantastic team of vendors, many of whom we probably would not have found without their help. Jen’s thorough planning and hard work made the actual wedding day stress-free and absolutely perfect. We would highly recommend using Southern Skies!
