Welcome to Strong Rope Brewery's waterfront location in beautiful Red Hook, Brooklyn! Since opening in Summer 2021, our taproom has hosted celebrations of all kinds -- from intimate gatherings of friends and family to 400+ person galas. Follow Barnell St. alley to our front door where you'll find a classic Brooklyn industrial space with whitewashed brick walls, 14' ceilings with original 150+ year old wood beams, an eclectic mix of furniture, and an open view into our open brewhouse (where the magic really happens). Then step through the huge glass doors onto our patio to experience some of the best views of the New York harbor and Statue of Liberty you'll find anywhere in the city!

The Taproom

The most memorable NYC experience you could give your guests.

The Taproom features 3,000+ square feet of usable space with huge glass windows and doors opening directly onto a 1,400 square foot waterfront patio. A bright and airy space with whitewashed brick walls, an eclectic and flexible mix of tables and chairs for up to 150 people. Included in all buyouts is the use of our adjacent private event space, The Hall; combined, we offer seating for up to 270 people and standing room capacity of up to 450 guests.

The Hall

The most memorable NYC experience you could give your guests.

Tucked away next to our Red Hook Taproom, The Hall offers 2,700 square feet of usable floor space, a 600 square foot reserved section of our waterfront patio, a separate area for caterers, restrooms, and a green room. The Hall can be booked on its own for everything from engagements parties to wedding receptions to farewell beer brunches and beyond. The Hall is included in all venue buyouts to use as your ceremony space, cocktail hour, elegant dinner or dance hall!

    Strong Rope Brewery

    Katie and the staff were wonderful to work with—friendly, professional, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. The venue itself is stunning, with fantastic views, great energy, and a spacious, beautiful room that was perfect for our celebration. If you're looking for a unique, welcoming space for your event, this is the place to go!

    The Perfect Wedding After Party Spot

    We had our heart set on Strong Rope as the perfect spot for our wedding after party, and reached out to the team more than a year in advance. Even though they don't officially book until six months beforehand, Katie gave us all the information that we needed and when the 6-month window arrived we were already set with all of our options. They often do wedding after parties and have a specific package, which was relatively inexpensive. The team was easy to work with - they even helped put out some of our snacks! The beers are always good, and they loaded up our Spotify playlist. The beertenders were great. We'd highly recommend them for wedding afterparties, but honestly, would do so for any event!

Peak season is May through October.
Our full bar menu is included in your buyout; all made in New York with 100% New York ingredients. Feel free to reach out for any special requests!
We do not have on-site parking; street parking is available nearby, and we encourage the use of party shuttles, ride-sharing and public transportation. The Red Hook ferry terminal is an 8 minute walk from our taproom, and the B61 and B57 buses stop within a 5 and 10 minute walk, respectively.
Yes, all our facilities are wheelchair accessible.
Strong Rope Red Hook will be closed to the public for the entire day of your event. Venue access can begin as early as 9am, and all buyouts include a 5 hour open bar which must end by midnight.
Our building is located 12 miles away from LaGuardia and 25 miles from JFK. You can reach our venue via public transportation or by private car/taxi.
Our venue is fully insured, so private event insurance is not required for the client. Any vendors you hire will be required to provide a COI.
Rates are inclusive of all house furniture, Strong Rope Beertenders, bar glassware, and onsite venue manager.
No, but we'll work with your caterer to create one in our space.
As a small craft brewery, please be aware that our production team will often be working in the Brewhouse into the early evening Monday-Friday in order to keep our delicious beers on tap. Your rental includes exclusive use of all front-of-house spaces, including the Taproom and waterfront patio; access to the Brewhouse is not permitted.
