“YPB was simply the single-best decision we could have made for our wedding. Our planner, Katelyn Evans, EXCELLED at: (1) Coordinating and managing our vendors, both local and not-at-all local (2) Understanding our vision and transforming it into reality (3) Navigating the complexities of a South Asian wedding (along with the specific needs for our families) Early on in our wedding planning journey, we got quickly overwhelmed, especially because we were not nearby to our wedding destination. Katelyn hit the ground running with us from day one. She was our boots on the ground, meeting with vendors in person when needed and was an expert in keeping things moving no matter what the action item was, big or small. A few particular difficulties that Katelyn navigated expertly: (1) We struggled to pull together the decor based off our wedding vision. Katelyn realized that one decor vendor was not meeting our needs and worked overtime to pull together an order sheet that pulled decor from multiple vendors that matched our vision perfectly AND cut our decor costs by half. (2) Katelyn accommodated our parents needs down to even the smallest requests, like making sweets available to guests at auspicious moments during the wedding weekend and even helping coordinate dinners outside of the wedding itself. (3) Katelyn pulled together last-minute needs during the wedding weekend without a sweat, such as setting up umbrellas to provide shade during the wedding ceremony or last-minute hotel room booking adjustments. The result was a multi-day South Asian wedding that was even better in real life than we could have dreamed of. “My non-AI review: I need to start this by saying that I am a picky person - very type A, and I don’t trust people to take control of situations often. However, Hannah is someone I felt comfortable putting my trust in - from the start, she was transparent, knowledgeable, and one of the most competent coordinators I talked to - and I say this because we had booked another coordinator prior to booking Hannah, and the prior coordinator was not good at her job. So when it came to working with Hannah, it was such a refreshing and relieving experience. Take my word for it - this is the person to book if you’re wanting quality and competence in a coordinator - I will vouch for her 100%, she is truly worth the praise. She was extremely professional and personable - basically she took the weight off our minds the whole time - from rehearsal to wedding day. Everything we were stressing about before, we were able to let go of - she took over, which meant decisions were being made and things were getting done. We got sooooo many compliments, even from my really hard to please family and friends - seriously, a huge part of the success of the wedding was Hannah’s planning. The biggest and constant compliments we got was that the wedding had many thoughtful touches, was an actual fun time, and was well scheduled - “everything was seamless” is a compliment we heard a lot - and I agree. She kept the whole day moving forward while delegating and coordinating - I didn’t have a single thing to worry about, which is a rare feeling. She even took videos and photos for us, which I had no idea was happening and was such a thoughtful surprise - it was so beautiful to have an album of memories to look at once the night ended - beautiful memories which was so nice since we knew our photographer would take a while to send us our pictures. In summation, if I had to do it all again, I would go with Hannah every time. All my wedding party and close family that interacted with her was impressed with her skills and the way she directed vendors and handled crowds. “Ashley of Blue Lark Events is a life saver. She helped me with venue research and day of services for a very reasonable fee. What I appreciated the most about Ashley is that she helped me stay organized. What I loved about Ashley was that she made some great suggestions and answered questions about what is common and she explained wedding trends. She saved me time, effort and money, as I otherwise would have made some decisions that were more expensive than were needed for the circumstances. One of the highlights of the wedding - that was loved by my guests and me - was Ashley's suggestion to do a photo bomb. Screw the photo both. You are the prop for people's photos. Stick the couple in the middle of the dance floor, play an upbeat song, and explain to everyone that they need to run behind the couple for a quick photo, taking turns. Rapid fire and in real time, those photos were hilarious. Folks grouped up for shots and couples jumped in our laps. Ashley also helped me source a really good photographer. What struck me the most was that I knew she was really great at her job after our various meetings over the course of many months, but my spouse didn't really interact with her much prior to the wedding. At the wedding he was like, "oh my God, Ashley has a sixth sense for whenever something is about to go wrong!" I was so smug - with a I told you so look in response. Be it a broken glass cigar ash tray that met the cement and is now attempting to ruin your shoes, an overturned umbrella making a run for it or that sound system that just is not acting as expected - she was there problem solving. After we got behind during the dinner speeches (which of course, she warned me about but I didn't police the speech writing), I lost all sense of control and LOVED IT. She was like you are dancing now, you are cutting cake now, you are photo bombing now - in much more rapid succession than had been planned. It was such a relief to just have someone handle us, as if we were celebrities getting ushered from one high profile moment to the next! Her quick action helped us make up time so that our guests weren't waiting around and so our vendors could be released on time. So why haven't you emailed Blue Lark Events yet? Do it now. PS - I included a picture that my photographer snapped right before the ceremony started. You can tell future hubbie needed to just be near someone and was regretting his decision to not have a groomsman wait with him. But it was fine, because Ashley's sixth sense was there. Always ready to calmly say what is about to happen and what will follow next. When I asked hubbie what Ashley said to him in this moment, he said, "I have no idea, but I guarantee you she was not freaking out like I was."”

“Zoe put in so much hard work leading up to the wedding and especially on the day of. She pulled off a huge afternoon tea wedding with grace, good cheer, and patience. Everything was just so beautiful, I didn’t want it to end! Every time I talk to my mama about what an incredible job she did she says Zoe never stopped working so quickly and efficiently the whole day!! From the moment I spoke with Zoe, I knew I wanted her to be the one to make my afternoon tea wedding reception come true! She is so kind and organized and quick to respond to questions. She made a timeline for the wedding and added teacups, teapots, and a cute cart to the timeline so it wasn't just text on white paper. She really is more of a months-before-coordinator instead of a day-of-coordinator. She responded to texts and emails quickly and helped me stay calm leading up to the wedding day. Zoe met me, my then future husband, my mama and dad, and our caterer at the bridge club about two weeks before the big day. She helped figure out where everything was going to go and had a contingency plan in case it rained (which it did) She timed out how long it would take for my parents to walk me down the aisle so we knew how long we could let the processional song play. On the big day, it was raining but that didn't spoil Zoe's mood or ability to put everything together in a timely manner. She worked alongside our tea service person to set 14 tables with different color tablecloths, mismatched teacups, saucers, bread plates, luncheon plates, 3-tiered stands, water glasses, coupe glasses, napkins, decorative books, table numbers, bud vases, and wedding favors for 52 people. She also set-up our welcome table with bread and butter, water dispensers, guest book, and library card catalog for the seating chart. In addition to all this, she made sure I had my bouquet and was ready to walk down the aisle on-time, played the 3 different songs we had for the ceremony, and wrangled the guests to be seated and placed our floral arrangements on either side of the alter. During the afternoon tea she poured water, Prosecco, and sparkling apple cider for everyone. She played our Spotify playlist from her phone and brought out the wedding cake for us to cut. Once the reception was over, she and our tea server packed up all of the items so our Taskrabbit person could take everything back to our condo. She did this so quickly and efficiently and told me and my husband we didn't need to help. I really don't think we could have pulled off such a huge event without her!! Oh! and she was so sweet during the getting ready portion of the day, she gave me a glass teapot ornament as a wedding day gift (((*warm fuzzies*)))”

“I was the Mother of the Bride. We had the wedding at our house, and Jenny was absolutely fantastic. She took care of everything before the wedding with a couple of visits to the house and via calls and email. On the day of, Jenny took care of everything- it wasn't the smoothest day because we had rain (Oregon), but Jenny was flawless in handling it. She also recommended a wonderful waitstaff that I will definitely hire again. I highly recommend Jenny with Daisy May Events”

“As a designer by profession, I was looking to really take ownership of the look and feel of my wedding. I wanted to make sure I could pick my own vendors, determine my own aesthetic and really drive the overall theme of my wedding. Jodie's services are so great for anything from full on wedding planning to 3 months out coordination. As a girl who wanted the farthest thing from a plug and play wedding, I cannot emphasize how important Jodie's services were 3 months out. Jodie stepped in after I had chosen all my vendors, décor and details and handled it like she had designed it herself. She is a logistical queen when it comes to scheduling the day. My vendors were totally blown away with the generous time frames she had allowed them for setup and breakdown. The bridal parties hair and make up was ready to go an hour ahead of schedule, and it was so nice just take the time to be in the moment and soak it all in before everything became a blur of happy moments and pure joy. Additionally, not only did Jodie help with all the logistics of scheduling she helped everyone (no matter how small a part they were playing in the day) make sure that they knew what they were doing, when they would be doing it, and how to do it in a way that looks best in photos! The run through of the ceremony was great! It not only helped us make some granular timing decision, but also gave our officiant and readers a chance to practice. The day of documentation was extremely thorough; listing what goes where, when it get moves, and who will be moving it. This helped to make sure that no detail when forgotten, and as a bride that didn't do a first look seeing the reception area for the first time was like a fairytale. That being said, Jodie also took any logistical detail that I threw at her, and executed it even better than I could have envisioned! Lastly, Jodie was amazing flexing the ceremony, schedule, and overall day after we found out that my dad would have a limited amount of time he could be out of the hospital! This change in plans would have been so difficult to to adjust to without her. She even planned in sometime for me to say goodbye to him when he had to leave early with his hospital transport. I cannot give enough praise to Jodie's overall awareness of us as a couple. She was our best advocate on the day. Jodie was very polite to only bring up questions that really needed to have a decision made by the bride or groom, but that only happened once through the entire day. She had put in extensive work prior to the day to make sure that she had an understanding of what we would want in almost all unforeseen issues.”

“My wife, Lindsey, and I were blown away by Tabria and her assistant Rebecca! Tabria was our day-of coordinator, and made everything go so smoothly the entire time. It was the most beautiful, perfect day! No wedding is completely perfect, and we absolutely had our little mistakes here and there, to no fault of our own–just misplacing items and not being able to find certain ceremony items. Tabria was there for us 110% and still made sure everything went right! Somehow our glassware for the traditional “breaking of the glass” went missing, and she was able to find replacement glassware for us to use! I was having a small issue with the venue the morning of–our sound equipment had not been provided yet, and I thought that it was arriving a little later than expected, even though I was told it would be there at the time of set up. When it was getting closer and closer to the ceremony, and there was still no sound equipment, I asked for Tabria’s help. I was getting really stressed out and it was eating into my getting ready time. She was so, so helpful, and even gave me advice on how to approach talking to the venue manager about it once she arrived on site. I so appreciate her help–without it, I fear I would have completely lost my cool. I was also trying to help folks decorate and let them know where things go, but with the stress of this situation, I was really overwhelmed. She told me not to worry about things, took the reins, and everything was absolutely gorgeous when we walked out. One of my groomsmen had a terrible rip in his pants right before the ceremony started. We have no idea how it happened, but it was really bad. Thankfully, his suit jacket covered it for the ceremony, but he was obviously horrified and wanted to be able to take his jacket off. We later learned that Tabria sent her assistant, Rebecca, out on a mission to get him a new pair of pants! Our wedding venue was tucked away in Wine Country, in Newberg, and she had to drive at least 20-30 mins into town to find something for him, in his size, in the correct color. She came back with a new pair of pants and my groomsman was amazed and relieved! All in all, the schedule of events worked out exactly as we had planned it, and she was so lovely to work with. We could not have asked for a better coordinator! We cannot recommend Tabria enough! You can truly trust her!”

“We are SO grateful we hired Samantha from Bloom Events as our planner! From day one, she made everything easy and genuinely enjoyable. She handled vendor communication, built us a super organized timeline, and even reminded us of little things we never would’ve thought of (like arranging transportation for grandparents and creating a backup rain plan that looked just as beautiful as Plan A!).
