Portland, OR

  • Starts at $1,300

I am a Portland native through and through! My love for photography rivals only my love of traveling. My interest in photography began at a young age, thanks to my Uncle and 8th grade math teacher. After over 18 years of experience, I have mastered the art of putting my clients at ease and creating an environment for them to be present and most importantly be themselves. I have a deep passion for not only the images I create but for the people I work with. I truly consider it an honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day and the images we create together become reflective memories for the couple, not just snapshots in time.

Awarded Best of Zola
From the moment we first reached out to Photography By Cambrae, we were impressed by their quick replies and friendly communication style. Cambrae was incredibly professional and knowledgeable, providing us with a detailed timeline to ensure our wedding day photos went smoothly. She was patient and creative when trying to capture photos with our sweet dog River, and made the entire photo session fun and relaxed for everyone involved. Cambrae's attention to detail and ability to pose us perfectly resulted in photos that beautifully captured the joy and love of our special day. We are thrilled with the high-quality work Cambrae delivered and would recommend her to any couple looking for an exceptional wedding photographer.

We're Hunter and Lindsey Wickert! We're a husband and wife photographer team based out of Vancouver, Washington! We love doing what we do best— we make your photos feel like your memories. Whether that means walking along the beach near Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach with you, snow-shoeing up at the foot of Mt. St. Helens for your Engagement Photoshoot, following you down the aisle in some of our gorgeous Pacific Northwest scenery, or playing in piles of leaves for your beautiful family photos and getting those magical shots. We want you to be able to look back at our work and feel exactly how you felt the moment we took them.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Lindsey and Hunter Wickert of The Wickerts' Photography for our wedding, and we couldn't be more thrilled with the experience and the stunning photos they captured. Hey!! I am a native Oregonian that grew up taking film photos with my dad when we would go on road trips! My love and passion for photography has grown since then and I have come to realize my favorite thing about being a photographer are all the relationships and connections I am able to make! I have made some of the best lifelong friends from shooting weddings and families. I always love a crowd and love getting to know the people I work with

Awarded Best of Zola
Sarah took stunning maternity photos for me at a stunning location! But what I really appreciated was how fun and easy it was. They look natural and felt natural. Even my photo-hesitant partner had a good time and laughed throughout. We’ve never been so comfortable in front of the camera. Can’t wait to get more photos by Sarah in the future!

I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Venture Ever After

4.9

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,200
  • Offer

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Dionne Kraus Photography

5.0

Portland, OR
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,700

I am a firm believer that friendship comes from learning the weird and quirky about a person, and still wanting to hang out with them after. And, since you will literally spend more time with your photographer than most anyone else on your wedding day, I want to be friends. We NEED to be friends. Like, I’ll-probably-end-up-holding-your-dress-up-while-you-pee type friends. That’s practically BFF status. I’m not only in the business of capturing your epically rad and emotional moments, I am also in the business of making lasting friendships, both of which I’m really awesome at.

We have used Dionne for years now and she is the best!!! She has the best personality and always makes you so comfortable. I’ve always known she would photograph my wedding- and she did not disappoint!!!! I’m obsessed with our pictures.

Skylar Coonan Photography

Portland, OR

Just a little backstory on how I got into this business. When I was a child, I loved taking pictures of everything. And I mean everything! (I get that from my mom.) Now my dad didn't share this same joy as me because back then it was all film and every snapshot I took...he knew he had to pay to develop. We love to look back on that time of my life now and see where it got me. Its a funny story to reflect on, but so rewarding to see a joy turn into a passion and that passion turn into a career!

I would hurry up and hire this photographer if you have the chance. Skylar is creative, professional and efficient. She comes highly recommended by this venue.

When you trust us to capture those real and honest moments, you end up with photos & video about your love that transcend time.

Awarded Best of Zola
Shooting with them literally feels like hanging with your best friends. They were an absolute joy from start to finish, but it was Sharayah’s attention to detail and artistic eye that impressed me above all else. It was inspiring to feel like we were all creating art together, and the photos don’t lie! Our engagement shoot went viral on Instagram, and we got hundreds of comments saying, “these are literally the best engagement photos I’ve ever seen.” I too, agree with that sentiment, but I have to give credit to Hereafter’s vision and execution because they NAILED it. As a team, they’re both extremely communicative and organized, professional yet relaxed in the way they interacted with us and our guests. No one has ever made me feel so comfortable in front of a camera. Additionally, their digital color grading is meticulously adjusted to match 35mm film with incredibly accuracy. They perfectly captured the magic of our special day. We booked them for the whole package - engagement shoot, wedding photos, and wedding video with super 8 film. Their understanding of my vision was remarkable…Hereafter managed to romanticize every single detail in a profound way. The photos are so special to us because each one feels like a standalone piece of art. They went above and beyond for us in every capacity, even going so far as to drive me to the venue on my wedding day when things ran late! We cannot recommend Hereafter Films highly enough. Book them immediately! I promise you, they are worth every single penny and more.

Established and experienced photographer, and all around nice guy! Pictures tell a story, and we will work together to capture yours. Candid, posed, individuals, groups, getting ready, decorations…it all goes in to an album you’ll be smiling at today, and for several years to come.

Tyler was our photographer for our wedding on 9/12/21 after our original photographer cancelled due to COVID. He was very friendly, and did a great job despite our wedding taking place during COVID and extreme wildfire smoke that hit the Pacific Northwest the weekend of our wedding. We had a small outdoor wedding with 40 people on my parents’ property, he captured our day beautifully, helping us pose in my dads vineyard and captured all the details of the ceremony and our little reception. I was very appreciative when he edited pictures of family members who were social distancing in pictures moving them closer together to preserve my memories. I am so thankful that he was willing to be there for me despite the terrible smokey air and risk of COVID. I highly recommend him.

Kyle Carnes Photography

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,100

Hi, I’m Kyle. I’m Northwest born, Portland based, and like to think that I have pines trees sprouting from my skin and sun-soaked glacial runoff coursing through my veins. Aside from photographing weddings, I enjoy strenuous hikes with a view as much as indie flicks, comic books, carving powdery slopes, rock climbing, and Trail Blazers games. I like to share these details because I strongly believe that connecting with the couples I collaborate with is integral to the creative process of photographing a wedding. A strong connection will result in the best images possible.

Awarded Best of Zola
We were incredibly pleased with our experience with Kyle. From our initial consultation to when we received the photos following our wedding we knew we were in good hands. Kyle gave us a detailed understanding of his work and process, and took the time to listen to our wants/needs, and answered all of our questions and concerns. He provided us with a great resource to develop a shooting schedule for our chaotic day, and he was able to execute it flawlessly. He’s is kind, patient, and masterful in what he does and we are eternally grateful he captured all of the important moments on our wedding day. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!

Modern Art Photograph

5.0

Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $999

Hello! I'm Robert. This is me. Let me tell you a bit about who I am and what I do. Love for photography, I am very passionate about working with my camera. If I am creating a little photo for myself that is never seen publicly or a project for a client, I put everything I have into making the photography I create as best I possibly can. Every click of the shudder is an opportunity for creating amazing photography. Every photo-shoot has options for photographs waiting to be found. Solving these puzzles with my camera and lighting is a lot of fun for me. I believe you can see that also. That's why you are here looking at my work now.

We originally booked with Robert for a wedding, and were so blown away with his work that we have continued to book him every year for our family photos – 7 years now! He is truly an artist and he captures not only the moment, but somehow portrays the personalities and spirits of his subjects. Photography for the wedding – just WOW. My husband I hired Modern Art Photograph as our wedding gift to my sister and the photographs were the favorite part of the bride and groom's day! The wedding was on the McKenzie River near Eugene at a rented house – Robert went a couple weeks ahead and scouted the area for good locations and had it mapped out for them on the day of the wedding. He took them on a tour through the area before the ceremony, guiding while letting them make the decisions. The pictures were absolutely STUNNING and the couple came back all grins from the 2 hours spent taking the pictures. Pictures during ceremony and reception were just as amazing and Robert also took photos for my pregnancy announcement and for a groomsmen and his fiancé. The next year we booked with Robert for autumn family photos and since then have done shoots all over Portland and even down to the coast twice. He captures my children in a way that I have never been able to on camera. Personally, I am not photogenic and have never loved any photos of myself - except when Robert is behind the camera. The pricing is incredibly reasonable, and for the cost of the shoot you get ALL the pictures in high def. It’s hundreds of photos each year and the hardest part is picking my favorite. He's always offered to re-shoot the entire thing if we don't like it, but we have always been more than happy with the results. He is very responsive with communication and coordination. And he’s amenable to whatever our needs are prior to and during the shoots (including crabby kids, anxious mom, or whatever!). I just cannot express how highly we recommend him!

Wedding photography that's all about you. alyson levy PHOTOGRAPHY specializes in creating gorgeous images that tell your unique love story. I rely on years of experience and an artist's eye to capture crucial moments without drawing focus, creating heirloom quality photographs that sparkle with humor and emotion.

As a wedding officiant, I've worked alongside Alyson on a number of occasions and have found her to be kind, graceful, professional and courteous. She's diligent and focused photographer with a keen eye for detail, yet does not lose sight of the also important bigger picture. Her steady focus is balanced and complimented by her ability to naturally let things flow while remaining present to capture all the sweet moments. Destiny and her helping Husband Therin shot our proposal and engagement. When I say destiny went above and beyond for this moment it’s an understatement. She took a whole day to help my now fiancé plan a special surprise proposal for me. Destiny knew the vision without us having to say too much. She perfectly set up the spot with florals, a ring box, rug and cute decorations up on top of mount hood. Now given that we live in the PNW it rained. However, that was not a problem for Destiny she still created some of the most brilliant photos. We are so happy Destiny and Therin were a part of our “Love Bubble.” Destiny has such an artistic moody vibe to her photos and lets it flow naturally during the session. She’s the first photographer to shoot for us and we were awkward! Our awkwardness did not come through in the photos she captured each of our moments with love in our eyes. I will treasure these photos and we are so lucky to be able to relive this memory forever.

We are Eric and Amber, a husband and wife wedding photography team with a different story than most. Both of us actually had our own established wedding photography businesses, with years of experience behind us, before we ever met. We found each other at a wedding professionals networking meeting, fell in love, on Valentines Day, no less, and got married 2 years later. Along the way, we merged our 2 businesses into Sightglass Photography.

We could not have asked for a better photography team than Amber and Eric! We met them at a friend's wedding, and so loved their vibes and the pictures they captured from our friend's special day. So, when we decided to have our own re-do wedding, we reached out to them immediately. They have been so easy to work with, so much fun, and so professional. They also really took our wishes into consideration, which I really appreciated. For example, we were clear from the outset that we cared the most about getting a million pictures from the dancing at our wedding, and we didn't much care about getting ready pictures. They delivered so hard, and were in the middle of the action all night long, and my husband and I going to treasure these pictures until we die. We also got our photos less than 6 weeks later, which was wonderful. Having now seen their photos from two separate and very different weddings, I am pretty positive that Amber and Eric can do anything, and will do a fantastic job of capturing what makes a particular wedding special. We would hire them again in a heartbeat if we ever decide to do yet another re-do wedding.

Hello! I'm so glad you're here! I genuinely love connecting with people and telling their love stories through photographs in a new and creative way. Life is really lovely and I want to capture it all, even the messy parts. As wedding photographer, I have a passion for documenting human emotion, and every kind of love. All are welcome here. I have a formal background in business but have always leaned into my creative side. I believe you should have beautiful and creative wedding photos - they will be your heirlooms and legacy. I love photos that are simple, the ones that make you feel something.

I had a specific vision for our group photos; Gone are the days of generic lined up prom-esque compositions, I want the frame filled with drama and depth (Think Kardashian 2010 Christmas photo or literally any Vanity Fair portrait). Give me an off-centered candid with a paparazzi flash or a dimly lit portrait, not some obligatory stale smile trash that Grandma will surely post on Facebook with the caption “they grow up so fast!” In short: I wanted my wedding photos to look like art - And I told Angelina as much during our first video call. The first thing I noticed about Angelina was her attitude; In sheer contrast to my default deadpan manner, she is a personified cup of coffee in a smilie face mug. She is one of the most positive people I’ve interacted with and acted as one of our biggest cheerleaders leading up to (and during) our wedding. Our engagement shoot was at a local bar where my wife & I had our first date. Angelina listened to my vision and executed a flawless “yes, and…” series of compositions. The turnaround time for preview photos was impressive and satisfied my chronic inability to be patient. We were delighted to receive a gif of our secret handshake. Angelina showed up to both our venue walkthrough and ceremony rehearsal. I appreciated how she treated us like her top priority. By the end of our last zoom call, I felt confident that we were all on the same page with how we wanted our wedding album to look. Angelina dressed appropriately for our wedding dress code, blending in with our guests. She was a welcome presence during our getting ready time. I appreciated how she got extra photos of me and my grandma (who was our flower girl) as requested. She brought a second photographer to cover the ceremony from multiple angles. The additional photographer also covered our cocktail hour while we snuck away for some dramatic sunset shots. There was a point during group photos that I pouted and said something like “I’m tired of this, I wanna do something else,” so she offered a break and ensured we had a fresh cocktail in-hand. I wish she would have suggested I stop winking at the camera as much. What I thought was a sultry flirty expression, actually looked more like a stroke consequence and ruined a couple of otherwise gorgeous shots. I can’t blame Angelina for the way my face looked, but a discreet heads-up that excessive winking made me look more like an attention-hungry improv actor than a blushing bride would have been appreciated. She offered a couple different payment methods including online and paper check. Her contract was straightforward and professionally written. The only challenge was choosing which photos to print; Narrowing down all of our favorites to just three or four was a welcome dilemma. I got my Kardashian Christmas photo, Vanity Fair portraits, and so much more. Moving forward, we intend on having Angelina photograph all of our portraits and milestones. Overall 5 stars, I cannot recommend her enough.

There are many reasons couples choose not to have a “traditional” wedding, and the beauty is that you can make it anything you want it to be – and that’s also why I care so deeply about making sure every couple I work with knows that their day is important, beautiful, and deserves to be captured so you can look back on every detail. Hi! My name is Anna– I am an elopement and wedding photographer helping adventurous couples say “I do” on their own terms from coast to coast.

Anna is so sweet, caring, and a great communicator. As a wedding planner, it was great to work with her and she captured the beauty of the venue so well. The portraits and couple photos are stunning. Would definitely recommend her!

I’ve been attached to my camera for the past 15 years and have done a little of everything, with work appearing in Marie Claire, on book covers, in web catalogues and in family albums. Whatever your needs are, I’ll be happy to curate exactly what you want. My shoots are fun, relaxed, and range from quirky to poetic. I choose to set my prices at a competitive rate because I don’t think that professional, quality photos should be a luxury item — they should be accessible to everyone. Thank you so much for allowing me to document precious moments in your life!

Larkin is very quick to respond to inquiries, and makes the process of booking photography painless. Her experience and talent shows as she is able to execute the shoot efficiently, while still capturing every detail. Lots of photographers now use filters and AI to touch up photos in an effort to get as many photos processed as possible quickly, but Larkin gives each photo the time and attention that it warrants, one by one, all by hand. This kind of attention to detail is what truly sets her apart as an artist, and it shows. She truly wants to make sure her clients are happy with the end result, and she will keep working until that happens. Highly, highly recommend!
