My approach is relaxed, low-pressure, and focused on helping you actually enjoy your wedding day instead of feeling like you’re stuck in a photoshoot. I’m there for the happy tears, crooked boutonnières, champagne spills, big hugs, terrible dance moves, and all the little moments that end up meaning the most. Most of my couples don’t want their wedding to feel overly staged or like one long photo shoot. They just want beautiful photos, a fun day with their favorite people, and someone who makes them feel comfortable being themselves - and that’s exactly how I work.

Awarded Best of Zola
From start to finish Katie was amazing! When my wife and I started wedding planning we specifically looked for LGBTQ friendly vendors and Katie stood out. Her photography and editing is gorgeous and we knew we had to choose her! We took our engagement photos only a month before our wedding and Katie made sure we got our photos in time to be able to use them at our wedding. From planning to the actual day Katie made everything smooth, fun and easy. Our photos turned out amazing and we got sneak peaks less than a week after our wedding. I cannot thank her enough for capturing our special day so perfectly!! Highly recommend

We’re Hunter and Lindsey Wickert— a husband-and-wife photography team based in Vancouver, Washington, serving couples across the Pacific Northwest. Our goal is simple: create photographs that feel like your memories. From the shoreline near Haystack Rock in Cannon Beach to snowy trails at the base of Mount St. Helens, forest aisles, and golden fall family sessions, we chase real moments, movement, and connection. We want you to look back and feel it all again— the nerves, the joy, the laughter, and the quiet in-between. Artful, natural, and deeply personal— your story, exactly as it unfolded.

Awarded Best of Zola
We had an amazing experience working with the Wickerts for our wedding. Their communication style was professional, welcoming, and attentive throughout the process. They were passionate about capturing beautiful, human moments. As a fellow photographer, I appreciate the beauty of their work; the final images are clear, polished, and rich. We are typically a camera-shy couple, but the Wickerts made us feel comfortable and had us laughing. They did a wonderful job of directing the shoot and incorporating our ideas. We are thrilled with our final photo gallery and highly recommend services. We are working with them again on our wedding!

I am a Portland native through and through! My love for photography rivals only my love of traveling. My interest in photography began at a young age, thanks to my Uncle and 8th grade math teacher. After over 18 years of experience, I have mastered the art of putting my clients at ease and creating an environment for them to be present and most importantly be themselves. I have a deep passion for not only the images I create but for the people I work with. I truly consider it an honor to be a part of someone’s wedding day and the images we create together become reflective memories for the couple, not just snapshots in time.

Cambrae was very easy and fun to work with. She is very professional and good at communicating. The photos are so amazing and the prices are totally reasonable. Highly recommend!

I am a photographer and artist from the Pacific Northwest with Costa Rican and Scottish roots. My favorite things are dinosaurs, exploring new cities, board games, soccer, National Parks, and whiskey. I have been fortunate to photograph 200+ weddings in my PNW home, to ruins in Scotland, cityscapes in Vietnam, to the beaches of Maui, and beyond! I live in Portland, Oregon with my two dogs and three cats | 🏳️‍🌈🦖⛰️✈️📸⚽🫶🏼🌈🌲🦕🏝 Fun Fact: I was born on Leap Year Day so I'm 9 years old 🥳!

Awarded Best of Zola
I could write a book about Leah; or at least a very detailed blog post but I'll try to keep it shorter! As a fellow professional photographer, I got the opportunity to meet Leah and work with her as her 2nd photographer on a wedding. It took that one amazing experience and absolute blast of a time to know that whenever it was I got married she was THE photographer for me. Fast forward some years later it was finally my turn to tie the knot and my now husband and I chose our date based on when Leah was available, because there was no other option for me! I have gotten to work with dozens of photographers throughout my going on 10 year career, and I'm telling y'all, it doesn't get better than Leah. The photos - amazing! I love her eye for details, the crispness, the colors! Not to mention she is such a beautiful soul with the best personality and energy, with the professionalism to get a gallery worth of beautiful photos with you barely realizing she's there. While going through our gallery, I was stunned and overjoyed so many times to see things I had NO idea happened or even photos of people that I unfortunately didn't get to spend much time with yet seeing that they still enjoyed themselves. In my opinion, a photographer is the most important vendor you can choose for your wedding day. I am so thankful my experience in the wedding industry allowed me to cross paths with Leah because that made a really important decision very easy for me. And I hope my review can help other soonlyweds out there make a hard decision easier. You will not go wrong choosing Leah to photograph your big day!

My name is Nadia. I specialize in elopements + adventure weddings in the Pacific Northwest. I help people have the wedding of their dreams in magical outdoor spaces. When you choose to elope, you’re choosing to get married free of society’s wedding day expectations. So go wild! Spend the entire day in your favorite place, with your favorite person. Wear a fancy outfit, or wear your hiking boots. Invite your dog instead of your mom’s second cousin. Share your first kiss under the stars instead of under an altar. In the great outdoors, you write the wedding rules. And I’m here to help make it an experience you’ll remember for a lifetime.

Awarded Best of Zola
When we began looking for a photographer for our micro-wedding, we gravitated towards Nadia’s images over and over again. Not only did they capture raw, intimate moments between couples and families, but they elevated those moments in elegant and natural landscapes of the PNW; everything we wanted. We reached out and set up a consultation call immediately. We were initially nervous and felt very unprepared to speak with photographers because we had zero ideas for what our special day would look like, but after our call with Nadia we were confident that Venture Ever After was the right choice for us. She was so knowledgeable and did a TON of legwork planning our timeline to best capture the moments we wanted in the lighting we needed, recommending a variety of locations for some private moments as a couple and group activities with our family, and keeping us grounded and calm throughout the entire process. On our wedding day, Nadia took the reigns and gently guided us through the day with compassion and grace. She constantly reminded us that each moment was for us and encouraged us to revel in all of the details. She even conquered some pretty crazy heights armed with multiple cameras and a walky-talky to capture some dramatic and beautiful couple’s portraits. Beyond being an incredible photographer, Nadia is one of the most genuine and kind people I’ve met. She has a knack for keeping elopement/wedding day energy light and helping her clients feel natural in front of the camera. My partner and I truly felt like models. I feel so blessed to have our wedding photographed by her and, above all, be able to call her a friend. I would recommend Nadia at Venture Ever After to everyone planning an elopement, wedding, or adventure in the PNW. In fact, I hope to be able to visit her and capture anniversaries and momentous occasions for our family long into the future.

Imagine a wedding day that feels like stepping into your favorite storyline —intimate, magical, and unapologetically yours. I help craft experiences for couples who value creativity, intentionality, and a touch of wonder. My photography is a blend of both documentary and editorial, combined in such a way that feels authentic and timeless. From windswept vows on a mountaintop to quiet toasts in a mossy forest. Based in Oregon, I specialize in elopements that celebrate your individuality and sentimental parts of your story. Let’s create some truly magical photographs—together.

We initially planned to elope at Crater Lake, which led us to Mia and Imagine Elopements. However, as the date approached, we opted to elope at our beautiful rented property to avoid added stress. Mia was exceptional throughout the planning process. She is not only an incredibly talented photographer, but she is also friendly, attentive, and highly responsive, going above and beyond in her follow-through. Her expertise regarding Crater Lake, including permits, trails, and requirements, was impressive. She even contacted the park on our behalf to ensure everything was in order. Mia also knows the surrounding areas well and recommends trustworthy local vendors and activities geared toward our interests. Mia truly understood our vision for a stress-free, enjoyable day with our kids in a natural setting. Her flexibility (including her willingness to officiate our ceremony as well) allowed us to experience the day our way, resulting in photos that perfectly capture all of the emotions of the day. We adore the photos and relive our special day every time we look at them!

I am a firm believer that friendship comes from learning the weird and quirky about a person, and still wanting to hang out with them after. And, since you will literally spend more time with your photographer than most anyone else on your wedding day, I want to be friends. We NEED to be friends. Like, I’ll-probably-end-up-holding-your-dress-up-while-you-pee type friends. That’s practically BFF status. I’m not only in the business of capturing your epically rad and emotional moments, I am also in the business of making lasting friendships, both of which I’m really awesome at.

Dionne is the best and will make your wedding photos magical. She has a great eye for lighting and placement. She made our wedding party feel so comfortable and at ease. Some of my favorite photos were the candid pictures of our guests and the getting ready photos for both the bridesmaids and groomsmen. She listens very well to what you want for your big day and is very helpful if you are uncomfortable taking photos. Dionne loves Dr. Pepper, so make sure to get her a soda care package for the day of because she will not stop moving the entirety of your day.

Just here to show off Myrtle Creative Co. Photography with Ann Marie! We recently got our sneak peaks back from our wedding July 2024. We had a multi-day event in and near North Cascades. (both elopement and wedding, so we have best of both of what Ann offers) We were looking for a down to earth photographer (to make us comfy) and one who traveled, but ended up with that and more! We had met up virtually with many other photographers before picking her! She was very helpful throughout the planning process, helped with advice on my indecisiveness and helped think of things no one else did day of and during the planning. Not to mention her talent (see attached!!) I have 0 complaints and only raves about our experience. (this is coming from a very type A person who doesn't usually write reviews) She was amazing and would recommend 10/10. Thanks Ann!

Baileaves Photography

Hi! My name is Bailey and I am the owner of Baileaves Photography. I am a travel and destination wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon. I travel all over the world to create timeless cinematic images of couples.

Awarded Best of Zola
I'm going to try to put into words how incredible Bailey was, but honestly, the photos speak for themselves. Let me start with this: we were actually excited for the photos because we knew Bailey was great, but my wife and I are AWKWARD in front of a camera. Like, painfully awkward. So there were still some nerves going in. Bailey put those to rest almost immediately and turned the photo shoot into one of my favorite parts of the entire day, second only to actually marrying my wife. She has this way of making you forget the camera is even there. Within minutes we were laughing and just being ourselves, and it shows in every single shot. The amount of prep work she put in blew me away. She scouted locations ahead of time, knew exactly where the light would be at what hour, and had already figured out where we should stand before we even got there. Nothing was left to chance. You could tell she'd thought through every detail long before the wedding day, and it made everything feel effortless on our end. We just showed up and she handled the rest. But here's the thing that says it all: multiple friends came up to us during the reception asking how long we'd known Bailey and if she was a close friend of ours. She was working. That's just how warm and genuinely fun she is to be around. By the end of the night, it really did feel like we'd known her for years. And the photos. They're so natural, so us, and somehow better than anything we could have imagined. Our friends have been raving about them nonstop, showing them to their fiancées, wives, even their moms. We've already had people asking for her info. If you want a photographer with serious talent who also makes the whole experience genuinely fun, Bailey is it. We couldn't be happier.

Kyle Carnes Photography
Rating: 5.0 (13 reviews)
Portland, OR
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,100
  • Serves Oregon

Hi, I’m Kyle. I’m Northwest born, Portland based, and like to think that I have pines trees sprouting from my skin and sun-soaked glacial runoff coursing through my veins. Aside from photographing weddings, I enjoy strenuous hikes with a view as much as indie flicks, comic books, carving powdery slopes, rock climbing, and Trail Blazers games. I like to share these details because I strongly believe that connecting with the couples I collaborate with is integral to the creative process of photographing a wedding. A strong connection will result in the best images possible.

Awarded Best of Zola
This review might be a bit long, so I want to say right up front that Kyle knocked it out of the park and I can’t recommend him enough. The photos are phenomenal. His composition during the ceremony was fantastic, he captured fleeting, emotional moments from our first dance, and he even drove us around the park in the rain between the ceremony and reception to get some truly beautiful shots with the fall foliage. My wife and I chose Kyle Carnes Photography after a very lengthy review of a large number of wedding photographers in the Pacific Northwest. Our wedding was in Portland at the end of October, with the ceremony in a church and the reception at the World Forestry Center in Washington Park. We knew the weather would be unpredictable and likely rainy, but we still wanted great photographs from both venues (and ideally some outdoor photos in the park if it wasn’t pouring.) With those criteria in mind, before meeting with any photographers, we pored over the online portfolios of around 20 different photographers, looking for people who consistently captured great images in a wide variety of lighting conditions. We also looked for variety in the types of weddings themselves—the settings, décor, attire, and overall style. Finally, we knew we wanted true-to-color photos, not sepia-toned or filtered images. That process narrowed our search down to four photographers that we then engaged with more deeply. Right from our first meeting with Kyle, we both felt comfortable. He was easy to work with, showed us additional photos that aligned perfectly with the venues and lighting concerns we discussed, and was open and clear about pricing. He also talked through timeline considerations we hadn’t even thought about, and communication was easy from that point all the way through the wedding. We knew we wanted “getting ready” photos of both the bride and groom, as well as strong candid coverage, so we asked about having a second photographer. Kyle was able to accommodate this and had his assistant, Roberto, join him. On the wedding day itself, Kyle somehow managed to capture everything without us really noticing he was there. For the posed family photos and the shots of just the two of us, he was incredibly easy to work with. We’re not camera-shy, but we’re also not used to being posed, and Kyle’s calm, soft-spoken demeanor made everything feel natural. From the church, to the park, to the reception and dancing, he captured every part of the day beautifully. After the wedding, he delivered the full gallery in less than a week. To be fair, this was faster than he promised, and I don’t want to set unrealistic expectations for future clients, but the turnaround was so impressively fast that it’s worth mentioning. I said this at the beginning, but it’s worth ending the same way: the photos are phenomenal. Everyone who has looked through them has been completely floored. Being able to relive each part of the day so vividly is the best result we could have hoped for from a wedding photographer.

I have been a professional wedding photographer for 8+ seasons and captured hundreds of weddings from the Rocky Mountains to the West Coast. I am both a storyteller and historian with my camera in hand. I love to incorporate the amazing landscapes with rich colors and natural light. My focus is on my couples feeling comfortable in front of the camera. I like to give some direction and allow for real moments to happen rather than anything being forced. My work has been featured everywhere from ABC (The Bachelor franchise), Green Wedding Shoes, Oregon Wedding Day, BRIDES.

Ashleigh and Ian were AMAZING. We hired a day of coordinator in addition to Red Aspen Photography and between the two of them the entire event went smoothly. Ashleigh and Ian communicated with us very effectively, the quality of their work blew us away (not that we didn't expect the best, based on their Instagram!), and they both communicated very well with our day of coordinator and the venue to ensure the entire photography process was seamless. They scouted out the area to get the best backdrops possible and had the process of family photos down like they had rehearsed it with our family. It's been a year and a half since our wedding and I am still so happy with Red Aspen Photography's work and product.

Just a little backstory on how I got into this business. When I was a child, I loved taking pictures of everything. And I mean everything! (I get that from my mom.) Now my dad didn't share this same joy as me because back then it was all film and every snapshot I took...he knew he had to pay to develop. We love to look back on that time of my life now and see where it got me. Its a funny story to reflect on, but so rewarding to see a joy turn into a passion and that passion turn into a career!

Maria Orlova Photography was an absolute pleasure to work with for our wedding day. Her communication style was direct and understanding throughout the entire process when we were talking about my vision for the photos. The quality of her work was truly stunning - she has an incredible editorial eye and captured so many candid, natural moments that we will cherish forever. Maria was extremely professional, on time, and direct when communicating with both my husband and I as well as our family, which I was so grateful for. She was extremely helpful in time management and making sure that all of our photography needs were met on the big day. I cannot recommend Maria Orlova Photography highly enough - they helped make our wedding day absolutely perfect!

Hey babes, I'm Khali! I'm a wedding photographer based in Portland, Oregon capturing ALLLLL the love! I love candid, raw and authentic moments. My photography shouldn't feel posed or unnatural. It should be all about documenting you for who you really are; whatever your love language may be. I will always do everything I can to make sure your day is spectacular. Transparency is super important to me, so if you have any questions - just ask!

Working with Khali from KMT Photos during the styled shoot at Pelican Brewing - Siletz Bay was an absolute delight. Established and experienced photographer, and all around nice guy! Pictures tell a story, and we will work together to capture yours. Candid, posed, individuals, groups, getting ready, decorations…it all goes in to an album you’ll be smiling at today, and for several years to come.

Tyler was both professional and easy going! He was reassuring about our outdoor venue and backdrop choices. He listened to our requests and was able to adapt quickly, capturing some beautiful posed and candid moments. He is mindful of backdrop and directed folks kindly, moving purses and plants to frame us. The photos turned out well lit framed and easily downloadable. So I could share them right way.

Howdy! I am Daphne, your new best friend. I capture weddings across Oregon, Oahu, along the West Coast, and dream of destination weddings. I’ve had a camera in my hand as long as I’ve known how to speak. Capturing love stories is an absolute dream job that I am so thankful for. I've met some of the most amazing couples. I create radiant, true-to-life imagery that feels elevated, clean, and warm. There’s nothing I love more than a sunny day and an iced cardamom latte. When I am not shooting, I am visiting as many countries as I can. I keep Christ at the center of my business, honoring Him with the talents I have been gifted with.

Daphne Scott Photography was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the very first interaction, Daphne's communication was efficient, organized, and she made sure to overcommunicate every step of the way. Her professionalism and hard work were evident in the dreamy, high-quality photos she captured that truly exceeded our expectations. Daphne was on top of her game and really offered her absolute best to us, working tirelessly to ensure we had the perfect photos to remember our special day. I suggest Daphne to absolutely everyone I know - she is the best wedding photographer I've ever seen and has the perfect creative eye for wedding photos.

Love knows no bounds. Every person is deserving of love and deserving of having it captured perfectly. I believe in equality. I believe in living simply and loving deeply. I believe that dogs are the best travel buddies and that plants make the world better and prettier. I believe that perfectly planned photos are awesome, but so is the candid photo of your 90 year old grandmother drinking whiskey with your friends. Your photos are about you, not me. I won't tell you what to do or how to live your best day. What I will tell you is where the best light is, what to expect during your wedding and always get your "good side."

Bethany and Alvaro were an absolute dream team! After planning this for two years, finally seeing it all come together with the right people meant the world to us. Our day felt so relaxed and easy, nothing was rushed, and both of them made us feel completely comfortable the entire time. Bethany's direction was perfect, clear and natural, never forced. Alvaro captured every little moment so beautifully without ever feeling intrusive. They worked together seamlessly and brought such calm, positive energy to the whole day. We truly couldn't have asked for a better duo to capture our story.

For as long as I can remember, I was always the friend who wanted to do photoshoots in the backyard. I would grab my iPod Touch, have friends model for me, and I would edit their photos though Instagram. Thankfully my artistic eye has matured a little since the seventh grade. I bought my first camera to document travel, and landscapes. It wasn't long before I started asking my friends and family to model for me, aswell. I captured my first wedding in 2019, and quickly realized that this was going to be my career. And, well the rest is history!

Hanna did an hour long shoot of my husband and I in the Fall of 2021. We love our pictures and look forward to using Hanna’s services in the future. She is incredibly kind, professional and lively. Getting our pictures taken and posing isn’t our strong suit and Hanna makes you feel incredibly comfortable while capturing beautiful moments.

Hello! I'm Robert. This is me. Let me tell you a bit about who I am and what I do. Love for photography, I am very passionate about working with my camera. If I am creating a little photo for myself that is never seen publicly or a project for a client, I put everything I have into making the photography I create as best I possibly can. Every click of the shudder is an opportunity for creating amazing photography. Every photo-shoot has options for photographs waiting to be found. Solving these puzzles with my camera and lighting is a lot of fun for me. I believe you can see that also. That's why you are here looking at my work now.

Robert is fabulous to work with, our photos are wonderful and we could not be happier.

Choosing a photographer for your wedding day is such a meaningful decision, and I am truly honored every time a couple trusts me to capture one of the most important days of their lives. My approach is rooted in a documentary yet elegant style, allowing me to preserve your wedding exactly as it unfolds — the quiet glances, the joyful tears, the in-between moments, and the intentional details that make your celebration uniquely yours. My goal is to create imagery that feels timeless, emotional, and true to your story so you can relive your day for decades to come.

I had Bella as second shooter and she took such beautiful photos and was such a down to earth and fun person to have helping! She has lots of creative ideas for photos and edits her photos with such a dreamy look! Was very clear in communicating before and after wedding as well, super easy to work with.
