I’m a documentary aficionado turned wedding filmmaker based out of Portland, Oregon. When I’m not filming weddings, you can find me hanging out with my dog, Werner Herzdog (seen in the photo), having happy hour with friends or scheming my next video endeavor. I have filmed everything under the sun including a Netflix Original Documentary series to a musical narrative with the singer, Storm Large. But no matter what, I approach each project with the same gusto, excitement and curiosity. I can’t wait to meet you and learn more about your story!

Lauren created the most amazing wedding video for my husband and I, and I still tear up watching it over again. I am so happy that we chose to work with Lauren to memorialize this special day. The video she created is such a beautiful blend of documentary and home video styles. We still have family and friends that rave about the video to this day. If you are wanting a videographer who is able to flawlessly execute a unique style of wedding videos, Lauren is the artist for you!

Cody was a pleasure to work with! He was very easy to communicate with. The whole process of booking him for our wedding was a breeze. 1st time we talked to him, we already knew we wanted him to be our videographer. We love Cody's energy, he interacts with our guests and makes it fun. For the price of his video package. It was worth it to book him. We are very happy Cody was our videographer for our wedding.

Kevin Ryan Films

Hi there, I'm an experienced wedding videographer for over ten years. Prior to weddings, I have studied film and worked in a variety of settings that include television production, narrative film making, broadcast, and live theater. However, in 2014 when I filmed a friend's wedding, I realized this is exactly what I want to do.

Kevin Ryan did our wedding videos over 4 years ago and I woke up this morning, for some reason, realizing that I wasn't sure where I had downloaded or saved them... so, I emailed Kevin at 6:00am this morning and he got back to me the same day and resent the links to download both our static video and the full length as well. I'm blown away at how quickly he got back to me and grateful that he relieved my concern of having lost them. They are now safely downloaded to our new computer (our other computers had since died). Grateful for his beautiful videography work but also for his diligence to keep our videos in safe keeping despite my lapse! Thank you, Kevin! We will be recommending you to friends and family. 10/10 recommend!

Dane is so professional, and knowledgeable about what he does. But he is also so much fun to work with, and very responsive. He cares immensely about his art, and it shows. His turn around times are impressive, especially with the level of detail he creates. I wouldn’t hire anyone else for videography.

Moving Pictures

5.0

Portland, OR

I've been documenting weddings for over 10 years. I got my start in the wedding industry through photography, but quickly realized that storytelling through video was where my passion lived. My team and I love capturing the emotional moments that photography simply can't. From the first look to personal vows, our work helps tell your story and truly allows you to relive one of the best days of your life. Watching a couple relive the day and the emotions all over again for the first time is so special, and knowing we’ve created a film for them that they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives is priceless.

Having Moving Pictures capture our wedding day was honestly one of the best decisions we made about our wedding. When you spend so much time, money, and energy on a single day, it's something that you'd want to experience more than once, and that's exactly what Moving Pictures does for couples. We received our final wedding video and SOBBED because it brought back so many emotions and memories, and honestly, reminded us why we fell in love in the first place. The cinematography is hands-down the best in the Pacific Northwest, if not the country. And the editing team at MP takes storytelling to another level. What sets MP apart from other wedding companies is the talent and skillset they bring to their work. Weddings are not just an event to record for them; it's an opportunity to make art. Someone should hire MP if they want a truly masterful and artistic film. We had a destination wedding in Mexico, and despite all the chaos that occurs with planning events from faraway, the MP team was a delight and easy to work with. On our wedding day, they acted like flies on the wall and came in with comfortable & confident direction when it mattered most (i.e. first look, etc.) We can't thank Moving Pictures enough for the treasure they created for us. Our wedding film is something we will cherish for a lifetime.

I'm George, and I love being able to capture stories. Your love is authentic and needs to be captured with that in mind. My goal is to be unobtrusive, out of the way, and discreet. I want to let things unfold naturally, and capture them that way. Whether it be a grand affair, or a quiet intimate wedding, I'd love to tell your story.

We were so fortunate to find Soudah Weddings from a mutual friend! We got married in 8/10/2024, and seriously the next day George had a short sneak peak ready! We loved every second about having him be a part of our day! George was professional, friendly, and we had a lot of fun with him there! He wanted to try a few new techniques and we were open to it, and I love how they turned out! He truly felt like part of our family, which was crazy, since we met him for the first time that day! Highly recommend Soudah media if you’re looking for a videographer, totally worth it! I truly feel like 5 stars isn’t enough, but alas it’s my only option. Also: added an amazing photo of George giving us a high five right after we said our I dos! He was so supportive and kind!

I've been in the wedding industry since 1998 and have come across many vendors. I always take note of professionalism and organization when working with other vendors. Working in live audio, it always amazes me how many video companies are not prepared to hook into a DJ's system and having limited connects. Jason is a rarity in this fashion, he always has multiple ways to run audio so couples will get professional sound. Another big aspect with being a master of ceremonies is organizing all vendors to be present at key moments, i.e. formal introduction, toasts, cake cutting, first dance. Whenever I work with Steady State Studios, I never have to look or keep an eye out if they are present and ready to get their video footage. It's all these qualities and more that I look for when recommending a service. Steady State Studios has always exceeded my expectations.

What do I love about weddings? All of it. The storyline is built in, both sides are dressed up to the nines. Both get to express how they truly feel without the normal social repercussions telling you that you are too gushy or emotional. Family coming together to celebrate your love story. The food, the drinks, the party the dancing. And showing it all in a film that's warm hearted, uplifting, fun and beautiful. Showing the big celebrations along with the quiet little moments that connect us with what it means to be human. I look forward to sharing your day with you. -Seth

10/10 highly recommend working with Seth! I knew I wanted a videographer but instantly questioned my decision since I’m not one for being on camera or being the center of attention.. however, Seth made it so seamless and easy with his great energy! When I met Seth, I immediately felt comfortable with him and knew there’d be nothing to worry about! If anyone is questioning having a videographer for any reason, I would definitely consider meeting him! Your wedding day will come and go so quickly, but the pictures and videos will last a lifetime. If you want to ease your stress and anxiety.. Seth is the only way to go

Hi there! My name is Alesia and I'm based in the Portland, OR area, but I absolutely love to travel! I've been to Europe, Asia and I've filmed weddings in Zion, Yosemite and Mt. Rainier National Park! I absolutely love capturing people's love stories on film, the toasts, the dancing, the groom's priceless reaction... EVERYTHING! Inquire through my website and let's be friends!

Alesia was so amazing to work with especially for two very shy people. We decided to elope this year after canceling our big wedding and she made it so easy and was a shining light on our day! It was pouring down rain the entire time and she helped us just go with the flow and we had an amazing time. Her personality is super fun to work with but her video was the icing on top of the already delicious cake! It was so special and represented our day perfectly!!

Katherine Frizzell Films

5.0

Bend, OR
  • Vintage style
  • Starts at $3,500

I create short films from your old home movies and favorite photographs. Process: First, we'll chat and you tell me everything you'd like to share about you or your loved ones featured in the footage. I'll walk you through selecting the photos/videos to best tell your story. You gather all the footage (feel free to outsource to family + friends!) and send to me. And that's it! I take it from there and get to work creating a short film that reflects you + your unique story.

I hired Katherine to make a short childhood-to-the-present video for my wife’s milestone birthday. Based on what I’ve seen of Katherine’s work, I knew it would be high quality and creative, but my expectations were slightly muted because what I gave her to work with was almost all old still photographs with very few videos. I was blown away by what Katherine created! When my wife watched the nine minute film (along with family and friends) she burst into tears of joy and surprise. She absolutely loved it. It’s a beautiful tribute with real narrative and emotional power, skillfully enhanced with music. If you’re looking for the visual equivalent of a lounge pianist — a film loop to play in the background while people socialize — you’d be well served by a more generic slideshow. What Katherine made for us is a one of a kind treasure that generates memories, conversation and emotion. Needless to say, we’re delighted.
