Do you film destination weddings?

Yes! While my team is based in Bend, OR, we’re available for destination weddings worldwide. If your wedding is outside of Oregon, we’re happy to come to your city for an additional fee to cover the cost of travel and reasonable accommodations.

Do you film elopements?

Question 3

How far in advance should we book you for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

Once you know your wedding date, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible about my team's availability. We film and photograph a limited number of weddings every year to ensure our couples receive the highest quality service, so our calendar typically fills up months in advance.

Question 4

Do you have insurance?

Yes! We’re happy to send a copy of our certificate of liability insurance to your venue or any other vendors upon request.

Question 5

Who will edit our wedding video?

Accepted Answer

All footage we film is edited in-house by our incredible editing team, and I personally add the finishing touches.

Question 6

Can you do a same-day edit? And do you do streaming/live services?

We do not offer same day edits, as the quality of your video is our top priority and rushing production does not allow us to create our best work. We also don't offer live services (I like to edit the footage!), but I know someone I can refer you to. (There aren't many of us in the area that do live coverage.)

Can anyone else see our wedding video? (Or will it be private?)

Your video will be publicly viewable unless you specify otherwise. We're happy to accommodate your privacy needs.

Question 8

How many videographers should we book for our wedding?

Accepted Answer

I generally recommend 2+ videographers, depending on your needs, the logistics of the day, as well as the size of the wedding. With some elopements I can get away with filming by myself.

Question 9

How long will it take to see our wedding film?

Accepted Answer

Our turnaround time varies. You’ll be able to view your finished film anywhere between 12-16+ weeks after your wedding, depending on how booked out we are and which package you've booked.

Question 10

Will I need to be mic-ed up during the ceremony?

Accepted Answer

The short answer is yes, unless you don't want to include audio of your ceremony (and opt for music only). The good news is, I can hide the mic pretty easily under the dress(es), and the mic usually blends in pretty well with the boutonniere(s). I will sometimes will plug into the DJ's sound system (as a backup only) if they allow it, but I do not rely on the DJ's sound system as it can cut out.

Do you offer photo + video packages?

Yes! I have an associate team that allows me to offer both, inquire for more info!

Question 12

What gear do you shoot with?

Accepted Answer

I shoot with a variety of Canon gear, varied audio equipment, multiple super 8 cameras (if applicable), as well as a gimbal, drone, and professional lighting gear.

Question 13

Will you be shooting our wedding? (Or someone else?)

Accepted Answer

Yes, unless I have a personal emergency (knock on wood, hasn't happened yet), but I have some professional backups who have similar shooting styles that will cover for me (and I've covered for some of them). I would still edit your footage in my own style.

Are you a full time photographer/videographer?

Yes! I have a degree in photography/videography ("media arts") and am excited to be working full time in my field. Fun Fact: My side hustle (which keeps me away from my computer screen!) is massage therapy, mostly in the off season.

Can I have videos of the full ceremony and speeches?

Yes! If you let me know that you're interested ahead of time we can add them on to your package (please let me know before we film your wedding so we can film accordingly the day of).

Have you ever worked with my wedding photographer?

Accepted Answer

Good question! I would love to get to know your vendors ahead of time so I can reach out and communicate about the timeline and our working styles. Chances are, if they're in the Bend area, I've probably worked with them in some capacity or have at least met them at a networking event.

Are there any other wedding vendors in the area you love to work with?

Yep! I love chatting about venues, rentals, planners, florists, food, etc. and giving my recommendations!

Question 18

I am nervous in front of cameras. How can you help me relax?

Accepted Answer

I have a PhD in awkward (lol!) so I totally understand... honestly though, feeling present and in the moment will show up best in your photos and videos. Our photo/video team usually has some pretty good tactics that allow your personalities unfold. My best tip is: Schedule your day so it doesn't feel rushed, which will help with your (very visible!) stress levels. Also, practice your dip kiss ahead of time!

Will you be shooting any other weddings the same day?

Absolutely not! The whole day is reserved for you. : )

Question 20

How will you choose music for our wedding video?

Accepted Answer

I like to ask ahead of time what music taste couples have and search for cinematic music that fits their vibe. I can't legally use a song without purchasing rights to it (even if it's a private video), so your favorite band/artist is probably not an option unfortunately.

How will the final product be delivered?

Accepted Answer

You'll receive a digital download and a shareable link to the highlight film as well as digital downloads for any other deliverables (full speeches, full ceremony, etc.).
