“Jessica was truly amazing to work with for our wedding day. From the very first time we spoke, Jessica had a sweet and attentive communication style that immediately put us at ease. I remember after our first virtual meeting her even sending a little thank you gift for meeting with her. And she was so kind, she asked so many questions and seemed genuinely interested about us as a couple and about our dogs! I spoke with some other photographers who seemed to care less about us as people. Which is ultimately why we went with Jessica to begin with, she was just so nice and her pictures were amazing to top it all off. Her passion for her craft was evident in the beautiful, high-quality photos she captured. Also her photo package names were so great (THE STAR WARS - "I LOVE YOU, I KNOW”)! For our engagement shoot we suffered through some of the hottest, awful, sticky, July weather and she was positive the entire time, managed to get amazing shots and deal with our crazy dogs! Before the wedding, Jessica was always easily reachable, and very on the ball. And will always be your biggest cheerleader, anytime I posted anything on Instagram, Jessica would be there celebrating, she is truly a delightful and genuine person! And I think her run through of the wedding day was the first one I got and it was perfect! And she went to the venue a week before the wedding to scope out the absolute perfect spots to take photos! On the day of the wedding, Jessica was able to calmly get every picture perfect, meanwhile making silly dad jokes to help us feel more relaxed in front of the camera. She was amazing at trying to calm down our crying moms, and giving us some moments just to ourselves, listening to literally everything we said, and always making sure we were okay, all while getting amazing shots! And all of our guests loved her! We had people reaching out during and after the wedding to tell us how wonderful Jessica was. Everyone was obsessed with her, both of our mom, my sister, my bridesmaids, even the best man kept talking about how great she was, how amazing everything went, and how nice she was with everything! Meanwhile I am sure it was like trying to her cats to get some of the photos together, especially when we both wanted huge extended family photos, but she was positive and amazing through it all! Jessica went above and beyond on our special day, making sure everything was perfect. I am sure I even missing some of the little touches she added to our wedding. And we are so grateful to have had her as our wedding photographer. She says on her website “YOU CAN CALL ME JESS (SHE/HER). AKA YOUR NEW BEST FRIEND!” And that is honestly how I felt throughout the whole process, literally love her! And I mean the photos really speak for themselves, they are absolutely flawless!”

More than that though, she captured how the night felt. The photos weren't overly posy, but rather showed off how much fun and excitement there was for the entire night. I think one of the best things I can say about Kathryn is that she really made a point of figuring out HOW we wanted her to photograph the wedding and delivered. As I wrote above, we wanted the photographs to look great, but mostly just capture how the wedding felt and she delivered on that 100%. Also, as much as she made sure we were leading all the decision making, she really knew her stuff and took things off of our plate where we could. We knew how we wanted the photos to look generally, but neither of us are photographers. So we talked to her about style and vibe and she really took it from there. “Short story long. We got married in September 2025 on a bright and somewhat cloudy day in a Historic Lodge in Hudson Valley. Nina was our ONLY photographer that day. I don't know too much about photography, but I do know that on our wedding day the lighting in the building and the grounds was varied and difficult to navigate. I highlight this because the photos that Nina captured and edited were BEYOND SPECTACULAR. Aside from being extremely talented, she was incredibly kind and thoughtful throughout the day.
