Based in the Hudson Valley, I specialize in documentary-style wedding photography with timeless, true-to-color imagery. My goal is to capture your day naturally as it unfolds, the laughter, happy tears, and quiet in-between moments that often mean the most. I focus on creating a relaxed experience so couples feel comfortable and present while I document their story with care, creativity, and heart. The Absolute Best
Lisa is one of the best people I have ever met. Her photos are beautiful and her energy is unmatched. One of my favorite moments with Lisa is when we got caught in the rain during our first look photos, Lisa sat with me and completely redid my hair before I walked down the aisle. It was so kind and caring of her to do that and I can’t thank her enough. She went absolutely above and beyond for us and made our wedding day the best day of our lives!

Beautiful Photos We'll Treasure Forever
We researched a lot of photographers during our wedding planning process, but we kept coming back to Lisa's work because her talent really stood out. Her photos have a timeless, natural style that immediately caught our attention, and we're so glad we trusted our instincts. From the beginning, Lisa was collaborative and took the time to review our shot list to make sure she understood what was most important to us. She truly listened to our vision and executed it beautifully. One of the things that impressed us most was her ability to capture not only the moments we had planned for, but also the candid, emotional moments we didn't even realize were happening. On our wedding day, Lisa was organized, professional, and gave clear direction that made us feel comfortable in front of the camera while helping capture beautiful, natural images. Unfortunately, it rained on our wedding day, which limited some of the couple portraits and locations we had envisioned. We had to make several last-minute pivots, and Lisa was flexible, worked with us, and made the best of the circumstances. She even offered a complimentary couples reshoot after the wedding so we could capture some of the portraits we missed because of the weather, which we really appreciated. We are absolutely obsessed with our photos and couldn't be happier with how they turned out. They perfectly captured one of the most important days of our lives, and every time we look through our gallery, we notice another special moment that Lisa preserved for us. We are so grateful we chose Lisa to document our wedding and would highly recommend Portraits by Lisa Marie to any couple looking for a talented photographer who truly cares about her clients and her craft.

From the very first conversation, I knew you two had such a clear vision for your wedding day, and I was secretly doing a little happy dance because I LOVE couples who are intentional! Then wedding day came… Mother Nature had other plans. 😂🌧️ But if there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that a little rain doesn’t stand a chance against a whole lot of love (or my determination to get you amazing photos!). The fact that you trusted me through every pivot, every “okay… new plan!” moment, and then came back out for your couples session afterward means the absolute world to me. Honestly… I think it made your story even more unique. Knowing you’re still finding little moments throughout your gallery is my favorite part. Those tiny glances, belly laughs, happy tears, hugs from your favorite people… those are the moments I hope you’ll treasure 30 years from now. Sweetest Woman, Fabulous Photographer
Can't say enough great things about Lisa. First and foremost, she is such a genuinely sweet and kind person - the qualities you 100% need in a wedding photographer. She is also very professional, responsive, easy to reach, and flexible. She worked seamlessly with our non-traditional timeline and was a calming, positive presence on our wedding day. The quality of her work is outstanding; we can feel the love and joy of the day in the photos. She made sure to take all of the portraits we requested, while also mixing in her creativity to capture candid moments. A friend said, "These pictures are SO you guys - they exactly emulate you two as a couple." I think that perfectly describes Lisa's work. Amazing is an UNDERSTATEMENT
Choosing a wedding photographer is a huge task. You are trusting someone to capture every moment, make memories last a lifetime, and allow you to relive your day whenever you open those photos. From the first phone call with Lisa we knew that she was our perfect fit. Our energies melded perfectly at the engagement shoot and posing for a picture was never easier with her directing us. She made our big day flawless she was always there for the perfect moment and photo without ever being in the way or having to search. Lisa is so up beat and friendly and even made it onto the dance floor for a good time with the rest of the party! I cannot thank Lisa and her team enough for the amazing detail and support she gave us on our big day.

I mean this when I say it—book her!!!!! I rarely ever leave reviews, only when it truly matters. I have never in my life had someone care so deeply about my photos, especially such important ones for my wedding. I’m still in shock at how incredible she was. I originally had a completely different photographer booked and only hired her for our engagement session. My husband and I instantly fell in love with her, she made us feel so comfortable and genuinely cared about capturing us. I actually canceled my original photographer before even seeing the engagement photos, because I just knew. And of course, the engagement photos were AMAZING. The wedding photos? Even better. I truly cannot speak highly enough of her. Our photos are beyond beautiful, there are no words to describe how grateful we are.
