I’m Tasha, a photographer with a documentary approach and a background in fine art. I work with both digital and 35mm and 120mm film, as well as Super 8, to create images that are honest, atmospheric, and full of texture. My focus is on capturing the energy, connection, and feeling of a day without over-directing. Inspired by visual culture and storytelling, I aim to make work that feels personal and lasting.

I spent years traveling the world—experiences that shaped my eye and my approach. My work is influenced by visual culture, strong composition, and a deep sense of place. I began with film and still shoot both digital and analog, including Super 8, drawn to their texture and depth. My background in fine art and editorial photography informs how I see, but I work with a documentary mindset—focused on honest moments, not staging. The result: images that feel personal, intentional, and lasting.

    Tasha is the best.

    Tasha is the best. She is kind, patient, punctual, professional, relaxed, and extremely talented. We were so fortunate we found her. She put my wife at ease and really captured the beauty of the event. Her photography really helps transport us to that special day and brings up wonderful memories. Just look at her gallery- the images are beautiful!

    Woodstock Courthouse Wedding

    Using Tasha Hurley Photography was the best choice I could've made when picking my wedding photographer!! Not only was she extremely easy to communicate with but also connected with us as a couple and understood our vibe immediately! We communicated our photography style wishes and Tasha ran with it and photographed our vision beyond what i could've imagined. I appreciated her flexibility and timeliness which created a very stress free and fun environment when taking photos. As we did a courthouse wedding, she also was our witness which was an extra bonus! We received a sneak peek very quickly after the wedding and knew we made the right choice - she even gave some editting options to make sure our photos were exactly like we wanted. The final photos looked amazing and I still can't get over them! For larger celebrations or if you're getting ready in separate locations, having a second set of eyes can be incredibly helpful for fuller coverage. Yes, every image you receive will be carefully edited in my signature style — warm, true-to-life tones with a timeless finish. I don’t batch-edit or outsource — your gallery is curated with a lot of love and attention.
For full-day coverage, you’ll receive around 500–800 fully edited images. Sneak peeks arrive within 72 hours, and the full gallery is ready in 4–6 weeks.
Absolutely. I offer custom-designed heirloom albums. I’ll guide you through the image selection and layout, and you’ll approve the final design before it goes to print.
Yes, I carry full liability insurance — most venues require this, and I’m happy to provide documentation upon request.
