About Julia Ann Photography
Julia Pedersen
My name is Julia, and I know all about what you’re going through (wedding planning that is). I am also recently engaged! In case we haven't met before, let me tell you a little bit about myself! My favorite band is Panic! At The Disco, my favorite show in the world right now is Schitt’s Creek, and I have a cat named Cricket, who is my entire world! I am known for my candid, romantic, and artistic photography with a hint of modernity. My ultimate goal is to show the, love, beauty, strength and enthusiasm of people through my photos. I feel so fortunate to be located in the Hudson Valley. It’s truly one of the the best places to get married!
Even though I went to college for Veterinary Science, I’ve always been a creative person. I grew up drawing, painting, sculpting, etc, you name it! I started photography shortly after graduating as a creative outlet, and instantly fell in love. I hadn’t felt so passionate about something other than animals is such a long time, and it felt great! I decided to put my second passion to use, and now I get to capture the most important day of peoples lives! How cool is that! I am not just here to deliver “pretty photos”. I am here to bring out the unfiltered love that you have for one another, so you have genuine memories you can look back on.

Julia did such an amazing job capturing all the most special moments of our day. We could not be happier with our wedding photos! They all came out so beautiful and natural. The communication we had with her was amazing and the day went by perfectly. She made planning easy by helping us draft a timeline and was quick to answer any emails when we had questions. Julia was able to efficiently move around our large wedding party to ensure we got the best pictures. She is such a kind and lighthearted presence which made taking professional photos less intimidating. It was a great pleasure having Julia as part of our wedding experience and we are so happy with the way all of our pictures turned out. We would highly recommend!

Julia is a wizard. She is a fairy. She is a magical being that was sent from another realm to make us feel like the most special people on our special day. Wedding planning can be stressful, but spending time with Julia means putting all those stresses behind and falling in love with your partner again. She manages to get the most intimate shots while making sure we’re completely comfortable and happy. We thought a good while over who we were going to pick for our photographer and with unbelievable luck we chose the best photographer in the Hudson Valley. Completely outstanding, 10/10, we will be hiring her for all life events. From our first conversation with her, prior to the engagement shoot and prior to real wedding planning, it was clear that she was the right choice as she made us feel secure and made it clear that she had a vision that aligned with ours. Julia made our wedding dream come true and immortalized in her photos, there is absolutely no one we would recommend over her. You would be doing yourself a disservice by not hiring her for your wedding.
