“Let's get to the point, shall we? There were so many involved in the planning process that we didn't know where to start. I skip to looking for our DJ process. I thought it would be easygoing but there are so many DJs to choose from. I asked a friend if he knew anyone and had mentioned of a wedding out in Redwood City where Taj had the crowd going. So we met with Taj and was a complete Godsend. Not only was he professional, he made my wife and I chuckle as he is a humorous person in good fashion. He also gave us a ton of ideas that made so much sense that we did not think about ourselves. We hired him on the spot and thanked him for his time. He was early and on time with his wonderful wife. He had already unloaded and was waiting on the staff! Fast forward to the reception, we had a wonderful time, my grandparents never dance and they outlasted almost everybody on the dancefloor! They even let us choose a few songs not found in their catalog for a reasonable price. We were ecstatic! My fiancé and I chose a harp/cello duo. Kristin and Gabriel were exceptional! “Golden Bell traveled to New Orleans to play my wedding, and they put on the set of our dreams. We skipped all of the expected wedding songs and handed them a playlist of all of our favorite disco and funk songs (with a sprinkling of Phish jams) and they delivered an absolutely mind-blowing set. I pretty much missed the rest of my reception because I was on the dance floor All. Night. Long. (Please see photos below of me LOSING MY MIND). Our wedding was 8 months ago (yes, this review is super late) and people are STILL making comments about how good the music at our wedding was. If you are a funk/ disco fan, hire Golden Bell. “Trecee was our DJ for our outdoor wedding reception, and he was amazing! My husband and I were originally going to just play music from our phone, but I’m glad that we found and hired Trecee instead! With no coordinator and last minute changes before and on the day of our wedding, Trecee remained professional, flexible, and fun as our DJ and MC! He followed our song cue list wonderfully, and helped us remix our first dance songs just how we planned. He made announcements we had set on the schedule as well as additional ones requested. He also made funny comments, which totally added to the vibes. His music choices were just what we were looking for, and even with a request by my family to switch to slower songs, he did it seamlessly; Fun, hyped songs for the younger crowd and romantic songs for the elders. He arrived about 45 minutes before his contract hours started to set up and even gave us (bridal party) warnings and updates on getting behind or on track of schedule! (Which is very helpful as, again, we didn’t have a coordinator.) Overall, he is a great DJ & MC, and my now husband and I would highly recommend his services! “We had jonny as our dj. We were looking for a bilingual dj in our area. We had difficulty finding someone here locally so we began looking out of state. Jonny’s profile on instagram came up and thought he was a great fit. We talked to chris and he went out of his way to make the travel, the hotel accommodations, and even the dj rentals outside of their own equipment to make our day work! Jonny took part in all of our meetings. They both where great to work with as we went through our song choices, the timelines, and gave us a lot of great advice in how we planned our day. The day of jonny took great care of us. He was there early to set up, got with the event coordinators, and adjusted to any on the spot changes needed. “Not sure where to begin writing this review. There are truly no words big enough to describe how special Cello Joe was as our wedding DJ. He wasn’t just a part of our wedding day, he made our wedding day. From the very first moment to the very last song, he gave us something so magical, so unforgettable, that it still makes us emotional to think about. He was literally the heartbeat of our day. He played live cello pre ceremony for all the guests to enjoy that was truly so beautiful. But the live cello as I walked down the aisle is a memory etched into our hearts forever. It was more than music. It felt like the soundtrack to our love story, and it was the most beautiful beginning to the rest of our lives. Then, during cocktail hour, he transformed the atmosphere with looping, beatboxing, and cello in a way that left every single guest completely captivated. People couldn’t stop talking about it, and even now, they’re still telling us it was the most unique and breathtaking performance they’ve ever experienced at a wedding from start to finish. And then there was the saxophonist he brought in during the dance party. pure magic. Together, they created an energy that was electric, soulful, and overflowing with joy. They didn’t just entertain, they touched every heart in the room. Not only was he the most talented cello musician, he absolutely crushed the dance party and played non stop for 3:30 hours. Not one bad song or bad mix. It was absolutely incredible. But what truly sets him apart is how much heart he pours into what he does. Without us even knowing, he recorded our entire ceremony, our cocktail hour, our dance floor, and gifted us not just music, but memories. He allowed us to relive the most important day of our lives again and again. That level of thoughtfulness is beyond anything we could have imagined. Our wedding was perfect because of him. “If you're looking for a DJ who goes above and beyond, Mike is your guy. From start to finish, he was the definition of professional. Responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making the day perfect. Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process. Mike made sure to walk through the venue with us ahead of time so that every logistical detail was locked in well before the big day. He handled all the traditional wedding DJ responsibilities flawlessly, but he also embraced our more unique requests without hesitation. We asked him to play video game lo-fi music during cocktail hour and dinner, and he absolutely nailed it. We're also huge fans of metal and rock, and we were initially worried that might not translate well to a wedding dance floor. He was able to mix those songs in live and keep the energy high all night. It turned out to be one of our favorite parts of the reception, and honestly something we weren't sure we'd get to experience. On top of everything else, our guests couldn't stop complimenting his work. He kept the floor packed and the vibe exactly right from beginning to end. We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out, and we recommend Mike without reservation.”
