Emerald Ridge made every part of our weekend so perfect and special. This location and views are absolutely STUNNING. The owners truly cared so much and made our day magical. Their organization and communication are both top notch. We recommend using the coordinator at the venue, Malorie, as she was the true MVP and knows every detail at this venue back to front. We booked the no rush weekend and used the venue for our rehearsal as well. Our dog stayed with us all weekend as well which made us feel right at home. All in all we couldn’t be happier and enjoyed every minute here.

From start to finish, property tour to the wedding weekend, we knew Serenity Ridge was special. Having accommodations and catering onsite provided us the opportunity to be present for our wedding weekend. The Serenity Ridge team was effortless to work with and their hospitality above and beyond. The setting was gorgeous, sunsets, mountains, thoughtful guest areas. Guests could not stop taking pictures and raving about the trails and the cozy cabins. The Hilltop House was ideal for hosting the smaller meals, along with hair and makeup before the wedding. The pavilion and built in bar worked perfectly for our cocktail hour and reception. We did put the vinyl sides down, but they did not impede the beautiful views in any way. There was plenty of room for a big dance floor. Every space we used was sparkling clean and free of clutter. Our weekend included a mostly Gluten-Free menu, and the Serenity Ridge team knocked it out of the park. Our guests were thrilled with the options but also the quality. Delicious – every single bite. No exaggeration. An all-Gluten Free cocktail hour, dessert bar and wedding cake did not disappoint anyone who wasn’t Gluten Free. I would not hesitate to recommend them and am already trying to come up with another family event so we can go back!

We had our wedding here, and I truly can’t say enough good things about the experience. Lesley, the owner, is so kind and thoughtful. When a last-minute hiccup happened with our welcome wall, she hand-painted it herself — just to make sure everything was perfect for our big day. We are so grateful! She was there the whole time checking in on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Our family stayed in the cutest, coziest cabins — everyone loved them! Throughout the weekend, the staff were so helpful and attentive. The staff members and Lesley picked us up in golf carts and drove us wherever we needed to go, which made everything feel effortless. The vineyard itself is breathtaking — it was the perfect backdrop for our wedding, and our guests are still talking about how beautiful it all was. It was everything we hoped for and more.

The folks at Cardinals Nest were absolutely amazing! They let us stop by a few times to check out the venue and walked around with us to show all of the fixes they were doing. They were genuinely so sweet and welcoming and it was great to have their experienced input on how we should decorate and arrange the space. We had some bad weather the morning of so we unfortunately had the walls of the tent down but they actually opened it up for me once the rain passed because they knew I wanted to! Even with the rain the venue managed wonderfully with a pavilion for the ceremony and the tent for the reception.

It has taken me well over a week to write this review of my experience @Redbird Ridge Estate as I had to fully digest this experience of tranquility. I wasn’t even sure that I was ready for a getaway experience after my Husband & I had been the caregivers for my Sister,Dad,and Brother whom all died over the last four (4) years. But after reaching out to co-owner,Alisa Dwyer, and reading about the history of Redbird Ridge Estate,I saw this getaway for Valentine’s Day Weekend as a Blessing. Alisa & her husband,Daron, welcomed us to Redbird Ridge so very warmly as did the free-range chickens from the chicken coop, the pond, and the tranquility trail. Further observations of this beautiful property revealed the renovated farmhouse, cabin, wedding chapel & picture-perfect reception hall with extra large bridal & groomsmen suites. From Valentine’s Day Arrival 5-Course Dinner To Morning After Brunch, including farm-fresh eggs from the on-site chicken coop, deliciously & professionally prepared on-site by The Romantic Chef Himself! My Husband & I most definitely will be returning to The Redbird Estate!!! Overlook Barn in Banner Elk was the wedding venue of our dreams! Set on Beech Mountain, the views — especially from Mary’s Meadow, where we had our ceremony — were absolutely breathtaking. The beautifully refurbished horse barn added the perfect rustic charm, and we were able to truly make the reception space our own with florals and personal touches. It’s a venue that can bring any vision to life. The day-of coordinators were phenomenal — incredibly professional, organized, and supportive. Even our wedding planner couldn’t stop praising how seamless and helpful they were throughout the entire day. One of the highlights was their recommended vendor list — every vendor we chose was top-tier. Our caterer was phenomenal, and our florist brought the space to life in the most stunning way. Guests are still telling us it was the most beautiful wedding they’ve ever attended! There were no hidden fees, no surprises — just a clean, professional, and personalized experience from start to finish. We wholeheartedly recommend Overlook Barn to any couple looking for a dream wedding venue.

Something Blue Mountain Venue was our first and only choice for our wedding venue. The views are breathtaking and it is like nature herself decided to give the perfect frame for every photo. The owner Lisa is wonderful and really makes it incredibly easy to show up and enjoy! She gave the best recommendations for vendors. Recent renovations even made a fully enclosed bar area perfect for sipping and staying warm in the winter. We had 35 people and it was the perfect size even though 35 was the maximum number of guests. Overall, not a chance in a million years I would prefer any other venue. Highly, highly, HIGHLY recommend. Thanks Lisa!

Working with Tony and Beth at Old Lystra Inn was an absolute dream from start to finish. After spending countless hours searching for the perfect venue, my husband and I knew immediately that this was the one the moment we pulled up the driveway. Tony greeted us with a late-evening tour that felt incredibly personal, not at all rushed—and it set the tone for everything that followed. The property itself is breathtaking. The grounds are impeccably maintained and filled with charm, and so much is included in the rental package—tent, dance floor, chairs, tables, and more—which made planning far less stressful. It was a huge relief not having to coordinate all those big logistics separately. Beth and Tony were a constant source of support leading up to the big day. Whether it was a quick stop by to walk the grounds, a late-night email, or one of our many questions (and there were a lot!), they always made time for us. We never felt like “just another couple” in a long wedding season. Instead, they made us feel like our day truly mattered—like we were getting married in a place that had heart and soul, not just beautiful scenery. On the day itself, Tony was everywhere—behind the scenes making things happen and helping everything flow effortlessly. We can’t overstate how much that meant to us. Thanks to his quiet dedication, we were able to be fully present and just enjoy the day. We are endlessly grateful to have had our wedding at Old Lystra Inn. It was the best day of our lives, and Tony and Beth played such a meaningful role in making that possible. We can’t wait for the day we get to return as guests and relive the magic from a different perspective. Highly, highly recommend!
