About this venue

Secluded Ridge is a private elopement and micro-wedding venue on a ten-acre mountain ridge in the Blue Ridge foothills of Western North Carolina, near Morganton. We host one couple at a time, with long-range views west across layered ranges and a hard cap of 20 guests — privacy, scenery, and exclusive use of the whole property. One ceremony overlook with a wooden cross, one gathering area, and the on-site Mountain House for getting ready. About 20 minutes from Morganton, 60 from Asheville, 90 from Charlotte. Two options: Ceremony Only, $900 for up to 10 guests (two-hour ceremony, overlook, seating, daytime Mountain House use; overnight +$300/night); and Ceremony + Small Reception, $2,300 all-in for up to 20 (half-day, table-and-chair setup for a seated outdoor dinner, one-night stay, cleaning included). Couples bring their own caterer, photographer, and vendors. Non-denominational. By appointment only.

Late spring through fall is our peak — roughly May–June and September–November, when the Blue Ridge views and weather are at their best. We host a limited number of events each year, so for these dates we recommend inquiring 4–6 months ahead.
Winter and mid-summer weekdays are our quietest, most flexible times. Our pricing is flat year-round, so off-peak simply means more open dates and easier scheduling — a good fit if you're flexible on timing.
Yes — you're welcome to bring your own alcohol, and there's no corkage fee. We don't have a bar or kitchen on site, so you arrange your own beverages and any service. We recommend a licensed, insured bartender for events serving alcohol.
Yes — there's ample private parking on the property. With events capped at 20 guests, parking is simple and just a short walk from the gathering area.
Partly. We're a natural mountain ridge, so the path to the ceremony overlook involves uneven gravel and some grade. The Mountain House and gathering area are easier to reach. Please tell us about any specific accessibility needs before booking and we'll talk through what's workable.
Yes — we're pet friendly, and we'd love your dog to be part of your ceremony. Just let us know in advance so we can plan for it.
No — there's no required vendor list. You bring your own caterer, photographer, officiant, and florals, and we take care of the setting, setup, and cleanup. We're glad to point you toward great local vendors if that helps.
We're an outdoor ridge with no indoor hall, so couples arrange their own weather backup — a tent or covered plan. If the forecast turns, we offer one free date reschedule so you're never stuck.
Up to 20 total — we're intentionally intimate. Ceremony Only is for up to 10 guests, and Ceremony + Small Reception hosts up to 20.
Yes — the on-site Mountain House. A one-night stay is included with Ceremony + Small Reception; with Ceremony Only you can add a night for $300. It's also your getting-ready space on the wedding day.
