Nestled by a creek on 55 acres of rolling farmland, we have recently renovated our 1942 barn back to its former glory while adding a refined "Shabby Chic" style exuding charm and romance. This makes for the perfect setting to host your wedding or special event.

The Barn

Peaceful venue nestled by a creek on a small farm in the foothills of the Appalachian mountains.

Elk Shoal farm was originally a hog farm. The Gambrel-style barn was built in 1942 by our Great Grandfather. All of the lumber for the barn was cut and milled right here on the property and the barn was used to house animals and store hay until 2020 when we decided to fully restore it by giving it new life and new purpose. Since the barn already had a rustic chic vibe, we thought it would be perfect to designate some of the space that was formerly used as stalls to be converted into a Groom's Quarters. We added a leather couch, a Smart TV, gaming options, and a custom-built, high-top whiskey barrel table. A large wall-mounted clock was hung front and center, to be sure they'd make it to their ceremonies on time!

    The Barn at Elk Shoal Creek was an absolute dream to work with for our wedding. From the beginning, Rebecca was incredibly on top of our needs and communication was never an issue - she was always there if we needed her. The venue itself was spacious, accessible, and accommodating, which allowed us to truly relax and enjoy our special day. They went above and beyond to contribute to the success of our wedding, like playing our ceremony music (which was one less thing for us to worry about) and providing silverware for our buffet when our caterer forgot. The Barn at Elk Shoal Creek is truly the best and we couldn't recommend them more highly.

    The venue owner is the most genuine and caring person on this earth. She was quick to answer messages with all of my questions and gave amazing advice. She communicated everything to us efficiently. The venue space is beautiful, spacious, and has a lot of depth and variety. They made sure everything was just how i wanted it and helped put things together that i didnt know how to do. They also put in so much work and were present for the entire day helping and running around. I highly recommend this venue to anyone looking to get married because they made the experience magical and easy.

    If you are looking for someone who truly cares about your event and has indoor and outdoor space, look no further. Becca and Darren have created a great space for people to come together on top of being incredibly easy to work with ensuring all your wants/needs/dreams come true. The venue design is wonderful and with the evolving vision it is going to be something that can fit everyone's vision. Pricing can't be beat and if you aren't scared to go a short drive from Charlotte you have the perfect space. We cannot say enough great things about them and absolutely adore working with them. Cannot wait to see what amazing events are to come from them in the future.
