She got the idea to start the business back in 2013 during a discussion with a close friend about finding and chasing passions. When they heard that Asja's passion has always been baking delicious treats for their friends and family, they suggested that she move things to a bigger scale and pursue it full-time. Ever since, A&J Sweetz has grown bigger than either she has ever imagined!

Hi. I’m Emily. Mother, wife, and baker. I was diagnosed with psoriasis over 8 years ago shortly before discovering my husband could not tolerate any grains. While this time was rather difficult attempting to maneuver life with “dietary restrictions,” it was also a pivotal moment where I decided to continue making all the things I love (yes I have a sweet tooth). I embarked on an 8 year journey trying all the flours and substitutes in all my cherished recipes. I have found what works without compromising taste and texture. Fast forward three kids later who also deal with dairy, nut and gluten intolerances and I think I have found what works.
