  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $997
  • Serves New York, NY

Golden Thread Cinematography is a boutique wedding photo and video team dedicated to telling each couple’s story with intention, artistry, and care. We focus on creating a calm, guided, and enjoyable experience so our couples can stay present while we capture their day with a cinematic and timeless approach.

We had an amazing experience working with Golden Thread for our wedding. We had a gap between our civil and symbolic ceremony, (our wedding wasn't structured like typical ones) but Matt and his partner were very flexible. They allowed us to feel comfortable when taking photos and helped guide us with poses as my now husband and I are NOT great picture takers lol. Thank you so much!!! We absolutely love our wedding photos.

ALL THE FEELS ~
Rating: 4.9 (24 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $3,000

IN AN OCEAN OF PEOPLE, I'M EXCITED YOU FOUND ME! Send inquiry via my web allthefeels, club | I'm Mucci, a romantic storyteller who has been using photography, video and motion graphic to communicate, with over 17 years of experience. That's over half of my life! I am inspired by genuine connections, fresh air, a car ride, vulnerability, sunlight and foggy days, backyard gatherings, misty rain, singing out loud, visual poetry, and so much more. My style combines wedding photojournalism with fine art photography, resulting in nostalgic, romantic, candid photos.

I hired Mucci for my NYC civil wedding day. My husband and I were having a larger wedding abroad, but still wanted to capture the special moments of the day we were legally married. From the start Mucci was extremely responsive to my inquiry. She was easy to plan with and helped give guidance and suggestions to the photography spots I had in mind. The day of the session (3 hours) she was so fun and easy to collaborate with. She gave a lot of helpful direction from the start to make us comfortable and pretty quickly it all felt natural. The photography didn't end up feeling like a chore/posed/forced. It was like having a fun day around the neighborhood with Mucci there to capture it. When I had ideas she was also very open to them and would adjust as needed. Mucci was also flexible with her timing, as we came up to the end of our planned time she graciously caught a cab with us towards her home/near where our dinner was and took some extra snaps in a final location. Very generous of her. Receiving the portfolio was a dream. I favorited over 200 photos. I couldn't believe how stunning and dynamic they all were. My husband and I looked like models. It was a dream experience with the best outcome. I would highly, highly recommend Mucci for her quality of work and how lovely she is to work with.

Absolutely amazing!! The photographer and videographer made my wedding so special. They were on time and they got right to work. I didn't have to think about poses because they knew exactly how to pose us. They also were super funny and would make us laugh which was great for the photos. Another great thing about them was they made sure to get everyone into the pictures. No one at the wedding was not photographed. Everyone that was at my wedding is in a few photos which is very important. One of my favorite parts of the night was when it started snowing and I asked the photographer if he would be willing to take pictures of us in the snow. He was more then willing. Both him and the videographer out their jackets on and went into the cold and took numerous pictures. They posed us and everything. The photos came out GORGEOUS. Also the trailer and highlight videos? SO GOOD!!!!!! I absolutely love them. Such talent!!! Everyone at my wedding is racing about how great everything came out. I honestly can't recommend them enough.

Justin McCallum Photography
Rating: 5.0 (37 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $6,200

Hi! I’m Justin (he/him) and I’m here to affirm your love, make you feel like a fucking rockstar, and dance like a total fool. Oh, and take so many gorgeous photos of y’all. Obvs. My style blends both documentary photojournalism and fine art photography: coaching folks who are shy in front of the camera, then stepping back to capture authentic moments uninterrupted. I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published by A Practical Wedding, The New York Times, GLAMOUR, People Magazine and many other fabulous outlets. I'm a stereotypical Capricorn that loves drag shows, campy horror films, every dog I meet, and Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

Awarded Best of Zola
Choosing Justin as the photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our special day! He took time to really get to know us so that we were as comfortable as possible in front of the camera. When unexpected things happened on the day of, they didn’t bat an eye and made sure we still got all of the shots we wanted. Justin is so thorough, kind, affirming, and fun, and the pictures turned out amazingly. 1000/10 would hire again 3.

Millie Elangbam Photography

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $10,000

Hi, my name is Millie! I picked up a camera 11 years ago and I've been wholeheartedly devoted to this craft ever since. Through photography, I've come to understand that the meaningful connections I form with others hold a special significance for me and should be documented. My journey has naturally directed me toward wedding photography, enabling me to translate your love into art. To me, nothing compares to distilling love into photographs.

Awarded Best of Zola
Best word to describe Millie…UNMATCHED! Millie has been so responsive from DAY 1. She photographed our engagement session back in April 2023. She was just as invested in checking the weather for that weekend as much as I was! She made the experience so seemless and the photos came out effortlessly and captured our love even though we were camera shy. Aside from being our photographer for our engagment session - she also photographed our wedding recently (June 2024) and through our numerous video calls she made a timeline! This was so helpful with planning! We received our gallery in such a short period of time that I was in such disbelief. I lived the photos and our story she captured - I will forever be grateful!

Bryan Sargent Photography

New York, NY
  • Photojournalistic style

Bryan Sargent is an award-winning wedding and engagement photographer from New York City. To Bryan, nothing compares to the privilege and fun of capturing the cherished memories of a couple on their wedding day!

Awarded Best of Zola
We hired Bryan for our intimate courthouse wedding in New York City just before Thanksgiving, and we couldn't have asked for a better experience!! From the start, Bryann was incredibly responsive and professional. Despite it being a simple, yet meaningful wedding at the courthouse, we still wanted to ensure the moment was captured beautifully. On the day of our wedding, Bryan came to our apartment and took pictures of us as we were getting ready for the big day. With our three friends in tow, Bryan followed the group through our neighborhood to the subway, to the Clerk’s Office for the ceremony, and then for some pictures at the waterfront. He was able to capture every moment along the way and captured the best NYC wedding pictures one could ask for. If you’re planning a courthouse wedding (or any wedding) in New York City, I can’t recommend Bryan enough. He is not only incredibly talented but also incredibly kind and dedicated to making sure your special day is captured in the most beautiful way. We will cherish these memories for a lifetime! After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about Emma Cleary’s photography team. From start to finish, the experience was absolutely exceptional. The entire team was professional, warm, and incredibly talented, making us feel comfortable and confident every step of the way. Anna, our lead photographer, was truly outstanding. She was calm, organized, and had an amazing eye for capturing both the big moments and the quiet, emotional details. She made everything feel natural and effortless, and the photos are beyond stunning—timeless, beautiful, and full of genuine emotion. Kamil, our videographer, was equally incredible. His presence was seamless, and the final video is cinematic, emotional, and perfectly tells the story of our day. He captured moments we didn’t even realize were happening, and watching the video brings us right back to every feeling of the day. Together, Anna and Kamil worked flawlessly as a team, and the results exceeded all of our expectations. We will treasure these photos and videos forever and highly, highly recommend Emma Cleary’s photography team to anyone looking for truly exceptional wedding photography and videography.

hey you! thanks for dropping by. my name is shelby, and i am a queer artist and manhattan based photographer who specializes in weddings + equine portraiture. my priority as a photographer is developing a personal relationship with each and every one of my clients (two or four legged). your special moments are their most pure when you are comfortable and ready to just have fun, and i am here to create that joyful space.

Awarded Best of Zola
Shelby is the absolute best! She took engagement photos for my fiancé and I, and we truly could not have asked for a better experience or results. From the moment we booked Shelby, she was communicative, organized, friendly, and just as enthusiastic and excited about taking the photos as we were. She went above and beyond in helping us choose the perfect locations for the shoot and making sure we felt comfortable and were having fun throughout the session. During the shoot, Shelby maintained the perfect balance of encouraging us to do what felt physically comfortable and natural for us, but also wasn't afraid to give us small adjustments (like moving a hand a certain way, shifting the angle of a body, softening a smile slightly, etc.) that ensured the photos looked natural and beautiful. She immediately put both of us at ease and spent time getting to know us by asking questions about our relationship, how we normally interact with each other, if there's anything we definitely did or did not want from the photos, etc. Maybe most importantly - we both had SO much fun during our time with her. Not only are the photos themselves a great keepsake, but it's so nice to be able to think back to our engagement photos as such a joyous, fun experience. The photos Shelby delivered are all gorgeous, and she did an amazing job at capturing a huge variety of poses, backgrounds, lighting, etc. She even went back and did a little extra editing on a couple of photos that we wanted to use for our save the date to ensure we loved absolutely everything about the pictures. I truly could not recommend her more highly!!

I'm in love with human emotions, either it's laughing till it hurts or tears of happiness. When your man hugs you so strong, that you can't breathe or when your dad is crying (for the first time in his life!) listening to your vows at the altar. I do believe, that these un-staged moments are more meaningful than classy portraits on a sunset (but no worries, you'll plenty of both!) If you feel like we are on the same page - let's talk! Write me a few words about who you are, tell me your story and let's create something beautiful together!

Awarded Best of Zola
If you are reading this, go book Dasha! The wedding photographer was the most important vendor for us. After talking to many photographers, we ended up booking Dasha and that's the best decision we've ever made. Through our engagement session, we got so comfortable in front of her camera and the photos turned out great. Ahead of the wedding, I had a final meeting with Dasha and you could tell that she cares about her couples and gives good advice on the timeline. On the wedding day, her professionalism and creativity made the day so easy for us, and we didn't need to give her a long shortlist because we trusted her. When we received the full gallery, we were so BLOWN AWAY. The editing style speaks for itself. We also loved the way she documented our special - it feels very natural and authentic. Many of our families and friends asked us who our photographer was, and we cannot recommend Dasha enough. Thank you, Dasha!!

After working 10+ years in corporate America in NYC, California and traveling the globe, I found myself wanting more than what the traditional career path had set for me. I stumbled into photography while I was on maternity leave with my oldest and started a side hustle that I had no idea was going to turn into a complete career change years later. From the very first wedding I shot, I knew I was onto something. And ever since then, I haven't looked back.

I photograph weddings for couples who want something emotionally real and visually distinct — not overly polished. I am more likely to accept bookings with sooner dates - I cannot book further than 1 year out.

My experience working with Bee Roll Media was amazing. My wife and I both needed headshots for new jobs we were starting, and also wanted to do a fun couples shoot for holiday cards. The photographer Brianna made us feel super comfortable in front of the camera and styled us to look our best. I got many compliments from colleagues for how professional my headshot was and was asked if they could get the photographer’s contact to do their own. As for the couples shoot, we had tons of fun. The studio had an awesome retro vibe that totally fit our aesthetic and we felt like we were models in an 80’s catalogue. She even shot on film to boost the retro look! People loved the holiday card we sent out and so did we! 10/10 would definitely recommend!

What do you imagine your wedding to be like? Imagination is a nice gift we have. It helps us building our identities and shaping our individual uniqueness. Imagining carries a degree of anticipation, depending on our past experiences and who we are, of how something that hasn't happened yet is going to be when it actually happens. Like traveling to a place where we've never been before and we take photos of its landscapes and people living there: we tend to capture in those photographs how we had imagined that place. A wedding is a destination in the journey of life, perhaps the most important one.

Hi! You found me! There is nothing I love more than capturing people in their element, whether that be laughing during a portrait session or smiling at the person they love. I think it is crucial to allow clients to feel their best, look their best, and to treasure these memories forever. I specialize in portraits, headshots, fashion photography, engagements, and weddings. I have fallen in love with NYC and the beauty that can be captured through the lens. I always bring in the city to a couple's love, especially if their story started here. I can't wait to work with you and give you the photo experience that everyone deserves to have!

I could not be happier that we booked Emily to shoot our wedding- I'll treasure these photos forever! I'm floored by Emily's work. I was familiar with her work before booking her, and I was still blown away (and I've still only seen our preview album!) My friends and family have all been floored by the photos too. It was also such a pleasure having Emily there and part of our day. She's as friendly and professional as you could possibly hope. It takes a lot of trust to capture important days, and Emily deserves and has earned that trust! I can't recommend her highly enough!

I always knew I wanted Justace as my wedding photographer when she started photography so it was a dream come true to work with her to bring our vision to life!! We had a small intimate ceremony with only about 30 people, we took pictures beforehand at the Harrisburg State Capitol. My husband and I are both obsessed with how all of the pictures turned out, especially the film!!! I almost didn’t decide to do film but I am so glad we did! You will never regret booking with Justace for your photographer!

Eugene beautifully captured our perfect day! He was very communicative through the booking process and affordable for extremely high-quality photos. Me and my group were unsure of how to pose, but he made us feel at ease and comfortable by talking us through every photo! He made sure to capture every little detail throughout the day. He sent the photos to us within a few weeks after the wedding, and we couldn't be happier with how they came out!

Working with Judson is always such a blast!! She's just the sweetest person and always knows how to make things so much fun. Her ability to make you feel super comfy and like you really belong is one of her best qualities. And that's so important when you're as awkward as I am haha.
