I’ve dedicated years to learning the ins and outs of wedding formalities, but it’s the oft-forgotten bits of emotion that make the day feel so exceedingly special, not the shot list. With a day full of nothing but emotion, it’s easy for some moments to slip past unnoticed, but not by me. I’ll be there to make sure the heart of your day makes its way back to you — so you can remember what really mattered on your wedding day.

Awarded Best of Zola
I am a photographer and wedding photography was the most important and sacred aspect of my wedding. I knew I made the right choice trusting the Greens Photo with our special day. There aren’t enough words in the world to explain how wonderful Zac Green is! I am a photography so making sure we had a great photographer for our wedding was so important and Zac delivered 20000%. He took our expectations and exceeded anything we could have dreamed of. He was kind, professional, and of course incredibly talented. I would recommend him to every single person in my life. He was a friend through the planning process and worked with us tirelessly to make sure he knew exactly what the big moments that mattered to us the most were. Both him and the second photographer Georgia were loved by every guest at the wedding. The Greens Photo are the best of the best and we are so thankful they were there to capture our special day!

Jenny Flora Photography
Rating: 5.0 (13 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Fine art style

Before I ever held a camera, as a kid I was obsessed with organizing and reorganizing printed family snapshots in albums. This infatuation with captured moments, led to picking out my first film camera, a 35mm Pentax, film developing and darkroom printing in high school, and then my BFA in Photography Degree. From there, I worked in varied sectors of photography, but my true passion lay in documentary work that could bring about awareness of challenging global situations. I have published and exhibited journalistic series internationally, notably at Oxford University and Aperture Foundation.

Jenny is Waterloo Village's preferred photographer and it's incredibly easy to see why! We researched so many photographers and were having a hard time finding a) ones that fit our style and b) were available for a not astronomical price. When we looked up Jenny's info, we were immediately excited by how clean, bright, and airy her photos are. She definitely did not disappoint for our wedding either! Jenny was always communicative, helped us build our ideal shot list, and had a lot of good suggestions for how to make the most out of our time. Her experience with the venue was a huge boon here as we easily got all our traditional posed photos done with time to spare pre-ceremony, and she knew the perfect route to take us around the venue (which is huge and has so many photo opps). She and the day assistant Nicolette she brought on are also just super nice and easy to be around which is exactly what you want on your wedding day. They never once made us feel awkward or forced. She turned around our highlights within a week which was an incredible surprise to get on our honeymoon and I love every single picture already. We definitely recommend Jenny!

Hi! I'm Andrew and I am an events and portrait photographer. I am based in the New York City area. I've been a photographer for 7 years; always learning and trying new techniques. Every photo session is an opportunity to create something unique. I always strive to capture real moments and turn them into works of art. As someone who’s always been camera shy—and my boyfriend too—I never imagined I could feel comfortable in front of the lens. But after winning a free photoshoot with Andrew, everything changed. I shared my worries about struggling to find the right angles, and Andrew was so kind and understanding. He really took the time to listen and made the whole experience feel so natural and easy. To my surprise, I ended up feeling completely at ease posing for the camera, and the photos we got are truly the best I’ve ever had with my boyfriend. I can’t thank him enough for making this such a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him, and I’m definitely looking forward to more photoshoots in the future!

Allison Sullivan
Rating: 5.0 (5 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,500

I photograph love because I believe in it. I don’t believe in it in the way that a little girl believes in ferries or unicorns, a hopeful “I think it is real” kind of a belief, I believe in its power. I believe that love is the most important emotion we will feel in this lifetime and I believe it has the greatest ability for good. I believe that each human on this earth should have the opportunity to feel deeply loved and to love another deeply themselves. I believe that love is something that should be treasured, cared for, and celebrated.

Awarded Best of Zola
You must hire Allison for your wedding day! She is not only reliable, a positive ray of light, and will put her all into your wedding day but she is beyond talented. She creates timeless imagery with a focus on you, the couple. She recognizes the importance of capturing not only your natural love and the candid moments but also those loved ones around you. She does this all with a big smile because she is so genuinely happy to be there for you, with you. Do the right thing and hire Allison!

I am a classically trained violinist turned photographer, printmaker, and visual storyteller. I spent nearly two decades shaping emotion through sound before finding a new language in image making. This shift moved me from performing emotion to observing it. Photography became a way to translate intuition into form and to capture how people connect, gather, and express meaning.

My wife and I loved working with Nicolas, he made us feel so comfortable and supported in front of the camera, the results from our engagement and wedding pictures were exactly what we wanted!

Asher was the photographer for our wedding just a month ago. I am so happy I chose her! We received superb service, professionalism, and most importantly the highest quality photos I could have asked for. Asher’s photos have a very natural quality which was so important to me. And she even made it a painless experience for my husband who isn’t a fan of being photographed! My bridal party and family loved her. As an extremely selective bride with very specific taste- I couldn’t have been more satisfied. I highly recommend!

Leila Brewster Photography
Rating: 5.0 (3 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Fine art style

I have been a photographer for 21 years - it all started when my Mom gifted me my first camera to take on a trip. I shot 30 rolls of film, in a week, all in black & white. A decade later, I sat down to really think about what I wanted from life. At the time, I was playing professional soccer in Denmark, and knew that that experience had an expiration date. I wrote down what I love most - I LOVE people, travel, & photography. I hung up my cleats that very year and went full steam ahead into the most rewarding career I could have ever chosen. Photographing couples & their loved ones on the happiest day of their lives.

Leila Brewster is hands down, one of the best photographers that I know in the wedding industry! She has a beautiful, artistic eye. She is drawn to nature and light filled imagery, making her pictures so dreamy and magical. Not only is she talented, she edits her imagery in record time, usually having digitals ready the following week and sometimes even the next day! She has a warm, easy going personality that instantly makes you feel connected and a calm presence throughout the day. I can't recommend Leila Brewster Photography enough!

Cly by Matthew
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $3,800

CLY BY MATTHEW has evolved at year 2004 from fashion, portrait and still life photography to the wonderful world of wedding photography, which incorporates all three genres. We follow a non-intrusive photojournalistic style for your weddings, which our clients (and their guests) very much appreciate. We concentrate not only on the big picture, but also we take pride in capturing the sincere fleeting moments that evoke the senses the very essence of photography.

Where do I start…I have so many things to praise about Matthew and his team at CLY by Matthew. The search for our photographer took forever, but once I found CLY and Matthew’s work, it was essentially an instantaneous decision. I left the intro meeting/conversation 100% sure we’d hire him. His and his team’s photography is beautiful, elegant, classic, and natural – and it was so easy to work with them from a fit and personality standpoint. I’ll admit, it’s a little awkward to pose for photography! But in the months leading up, and the day of, the wedding, Matthew and his team made us feel very comfortable in front of the camera. Matthew is one of the kindest people ever, and his calm demeanor made everything so pleasant and easy (especially with the frantic nature of wedding planning!) We are in LOVE with the photos we got back. We still can’t even believe it’s us, and our wedding, because the CLY team captured everything so amazingly. It’s surreal! We are so lucky to have found them and worked with Matthew. I’m hoping to find an excuse in the future to work with him again for professional photography. If you’re here and in the middle of researching photographers, stop reading and contact CLY immediately. You won’t regret it, I promise you.

James Anderson Photography
Rating: 5.0 (2 reviews)
New York, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $5,500

I've been photographing weddings since 2010 and it's something that I feel incredibly fortunate to do. It really is remarkable to be able to combine my love for photography and storytelling in capturing the stories of so many wonderful couples in a genuine and authentic manner over the past 10 years. I currently reside in Brooklyn, New York with my wife, our daughter and our two cats. When I'm not photographing weddings you can find me exploring the streets of New York City with my camera, enjoying a good cup of coffee, visiting art galleries, and spending time outdoors.

James was fantastic. Really easy to work with and so helpful especially since my partner and I really didn't know what we wanted or should ask for. James was so nice, patient, and really guided us through the whole process and kept so calm on the wedding day, it made us feel calm. Im not a fan of kissing photos and I don't know what magic James has because he made me like a photo of me kissing my fiance. James is amazingly efficient with his time and made the whole wedding day photo shoot quick and we ended up having extra time.

Entwined Studio
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
New York, NY
  • Fine art style
  • Starts at $4,000

Entwined Studio was created with my husband Matt ten years ago as a total labor of love. After producing indie movies, commercials and tv shows in NYC I realized that what I really loved doing was setting up shots and creating beautiful frames to tell stories. Weddings are a perfect fit. I love capturing the beauty of my couples and am lucky to call so many of my past clients friends. Shooting your wedding is more than just taking pictures on the day, it's connection, and it's one of the things I love most. So let's connect soon.

Angie made taking photos so easy and fun. I loved the amount of direction she gave us, telling me where to put my chin and making sure everyone in the photos looked their best. Many guests commented what a great job she did as well. Angie is so so lovely.

Susan Stripling is a New York City luxury wedding photographer, photographing weddings throughout New York, the East Coast, and destinations worldwide. Unique, breathtaking photos from a passionate, delightful artist. We LOVE Susan’s style: dramatic, ephemeral, and so playful. As creatives ourselves, we wanted a photographer who did more than just capture our wedding; she made ART that is timeless and unforgettable. But don’t be intimidated, she’s one of the most down-to-earth, easygoing, and delightful people I’ve ever met. We had so much fun with her and were honored to have her as our photographer.

Joanna Toto
Rating: 5.0 (1 review)
New York, NY
  • Fine art style

Inspired by the likes of Guy Bourdin and Helmut Newton whose works she inhaled early on, Joanna likes to blend traditional imagery with unexpected compositions and negative space, adding her personal, fashion-forward flair to the documentary nature of event photography. After many years of directing models, she is an expert at gently guiding couples on their wedding day, encouraging natural connections and documenting the results. Passed through the anvil of anxiety and adrenaline that is Fashion, Joanna's personality turned out easy-going and her calm presence conceals an ever watchful artistic eye.

Joanna is an incredibly kind person and a fantastic photographer. Not only are her photographs outstanding, but she also is a true pleasure to work with. We felt so comfortable with her right from the start of our engagement shoot through our wedding reception. She is very generous of her time and was actively involved in the post-wedding process of helping us choose photos for our album (which was difficult because there were so many great ones!). We cannot recommend her more highly!

Edgar is the best! He was fun to be around and up for anything. He traveled hours to meet us and even went on a pretty buggy/muddy hike to capture the most incredible photos. We are both so awkward in front of a camera and he immediately made us comfortable - such an important skillset! We can't wait to see him again next June for our wedding, and have so much faith that he will hit it out of the park again!

Johnny was absolutely wonderful to have as part of our wedding day. From the moment he arrived (early, of course), he brought such a calm, steady energy that instantly made both my husband and me feel comfortable—which is saying something, because neither of us is particularly into posing for photos. The complimentary engagement shoot was such a smart and generous touch. It gave us a chance to loosen up, find our rhythm with him, and honestly made the wedding day feel that much smoother. He gave just the right amount of direction when we needed it—but the real magic was in the candid shots. He caught moments we didn’t even realize were happening, and now we get to relive them with full hearts and full clarity. Johnny didn’t just take pictures. He helped. He quietly supported so many little things that weren’t even his job—and did it all with this clear passion and grounded presence that made him feel like a friend, not just a vendor. If you’re looking for someone who truly sees the day—who captures the energy, the in-between moments, the real stuff—hire Johnny. Don’t wait. He’s the one.
