Hey y'all, I'm McKenna (she/they)! Born & raised in Kentucky, I started my artistic career as a ballet dancer, but as my curiosity for the arts grew, I started to look in every direction, picking up design, photography, and film. My work conjures a sense of sophisticated play while making the client feel like their most confident & authentic selves. Now that I'm an official New Yorker or 10 years, I’m achieving my dreams in the city I always knew I’d end up in: performing (when I can) and creating art. In my spare time, I enjoy bothering my cats Bebe & Fred, taking in a drag show, & lifting up my artist friends in any way I can.

From a Type A, 2027 Bride herself, I understand the pressure of wanting your day to LOOK perfect. You plan for so long, and then suddenly, everything is out of your hands. Scary! Let me assure you, I'm here to make sure your visuals are followed through, and the joy and love on your wedding day are expertly expressed through your photos. Especially on the dance floor!

    McKenna was such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process! She was very clear on pricing and prompt on communication the entire time. She was extremely professional and went the extra mile. Our wedding was on a moving boat and she captured beautiful shots with ease. She made us all feel super comfortable and captured both posed and candid shots. There’s no question, if I need a photographer in the future, I would immediately contact McKenna!

    I had worked with McKenna in other capacities before, so we knew we were in excellent hands when we booked them for our courthouse wedding. They were clear, communicative, flexible, and helped calm us down throughout the entire process. The quality of their work was simply fantastic - they provided customizable, beautiful photos that captured the most important moments of the day for us. They also helped us incorporate important cultural practices to make our day feel real. McKenna was incredibly helpful, walking us through the typical courthouse wedding flow and being flexible and communicative when there were some delays in the courthouse. They also went out of their way to find the perfect poses that made us feel so loved and authentic with each other. The photos were beautiful and made us feel wonderful when we looked at the book that they put together for us. McKenna is truly an incredible and sensitive photographer, and I would highly recommend them to anyone planning their wedding.

    MCP Photo was an integral part of our wedding weekend. From the private outdoor ceremony, to the reception/party, McKenna was there capturing all the important moments. McKenna was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Before we could even think “we should have a photo of this”, McKenna was there with the camera. Also, McKenna is very good at directing and posing. We cannot recommend MCP Photo highly enough for your wedding photographer.
