Javier began his career in 1997 with one mission: capture real emotion with precision. After fifteen years in weddings and expansion into fashion and editorial, he developed a style blending editorial sophistication with photojournalistic instinct. In 2012, he and Simoné Delgado founded COGRA, uniting cinematic photography with refined makeup artistry and aesthetic direction. As a married couple of over fifteen years, they don’t simply document celebrations — they shape visual narratives that feel iconic, intentional, and enduring.

We Could Not Have Asked for More
We absolutely loved working with Cogra for our engagement session. We are not from New York City and do not live there, so it was important to work with a team that truly knew the area. We wanted photos in Central Park, and they knew all the best spots. Every location was beautiful and intentional, and they guided us through everything so it felt easy and organized. We shot during a major NYC heat wave, but it did not slow them down at all. They were patient, positive, and completely committed. They gave us water and even brought towels and powder for touch-ups, which we really appreciated in the heat. We never felt rushed and had so much fun. They also really listened to what we wanted and adjusted to match our preferred style perfectly. The photos feel timeless and elevated, and we truly could not be happier with how they turned out. The retouching was also amazing. It looked completely natural while still removing a horrible pimple I had, which I was so grateful for. I still looked like myself, just the best version. The turnaround time was also very fast. We cannot recommend Cogra enough.
