As we got closer to the wedding, and things inevitably became more hectic, vendors would email us questions and before I could even think of a response, Renee had already replied and had the situation handled. I can’t tell you the amount of ease and stress relief Renee brought us. The weekend of the wedding, my husband and I didn’t have to worry about a thing. Her team was quick and efficient and got things done. Our ceremony and reception set up was done exactly the way we had described and even exceeded expectations when we told her to use her creative liberties! I am the type to stress about details and worry about things running smoothly, but on our wedding day, I didn’t think twice about anything but enjoying the day. We knew Renee had it handled. If I thought of something last minute to bring up to Renee she would immediately say with ease, “we have it handled, don’t worry about a thing!!” I can’t emphasize how much that meant to us. My biggest advice to anyone planning a wedding would be to book a wedding planner and to get RENEE!!!! We will forever look back on our wedding knowing we, and everyone at our wedding, fully enjoyed every second and were not swept up in day-of tasks and duties. No one was stressed or worried about getting something done. People got to relax, party, and just enjoy themselves, because Renee had it handled.

TLDR: Easy communication, handles everything, calming, amazing experience. Madi helped us plan and coordinated our wedding in June at the Eaton DC. We cannot recommend her enough!! During the planning process, she was the perfect balance of being the cheerleader for our ideas, and weighing in with her own when we needed another perspective. We felt pretty unprepared and clueless about planning a wedding, and Madi was so accepting of that and really validated us along the way. She handed all of the communication and emails, which was a huge task and a relief to hand off. On the actual wedding day, Madi and her team made everything feel comfortable and easy. Madi has such a calm demeanor that we completely trusted that no matter what happened, she was going to take care of it and it wouldn’t impact us. And it didn’t! We weren’t aware of any logistics going on around us, and Madi and her team made sure it was the most special for us. Our friends and family commented throughout the night and afterwards on how great Madi and her team were. I am SO glad and grateful we had Madi for our wedding, and I wholeheartedly encourage anyone looking for planning or coordination to go with Tate Co.

We’ve said it many times during the wedding planning process and we’ll continue to shout it to the hills: hiring Kristy and her team was the best decision we’ve ever made and the best money we’ve ever spent. From the consultation and throughout the entire process Kristy was lovely to work with and incredibly friendly and personal but also always on top of everything. She flagged so many little details that we never would have thought of but led to a much smoother wedding day. Her detailed resources, templates, and documents were invaluable, but she was also flexible when I needed to make my own spreadsheets to keep everything straight in a way that worked with my brain. The timeline she created for us was a work of art and a thing of beauty and something I could have never done on my own. She included every single facet of the event from load in and load out for every vendor down to when we needed to bring our checkbook. Handing communications with vendors to her team in the last few months was amazing and definitely reduced our stress levels. While the timeline was delayed (due to another vendor), Kristy pivoted quickly and ensured that things got back on track and as close to the plan as possible. When we changed our mind on things mid-wedding (like if we wanted a more formal send off) she ensured that it was actually what we wanted but then changed to accommodate it. She also organized tear down of all the decor so that all we had to do was show up the morning after to pick up our belongings. As a queer couple, one of whom is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, Kristy and her team made us feel welcomed and affirmed for the entire process while vetting vendors to make sure they were LGBT friendly and listing our (and our wedding party’s) pronouns on resource sheets so that the whole vendor team was aware and misgendering was as limited as possible (and never by Kristy or her team). She (or a team member?) also recommended many amazing vendors to us including our amazing DJ who had the exact vibe we wanted (gay pop dance party) and ensured the dance floor was full and everyone loved the music choices. Kristy led our rehearsal like a (very nice) drill sergeant, which made it so much more efficient and effective than others I’ve been a part of. The ceremony went off without any major hitches and everyone (including 13 wedding party members, both of our parents, our officiant, and us) knew where they needed to be and when to do what. I was incredibly impressed and super grateful. It also ensured that I didn’t need to think or worry about the little details like making sure seats were reserved and that people started walking at the right time. My only regret is that we didn’t have the budget to have her team plan our rehearsal dinner as well. That experience versus the day of the wedding was a huge contrast. On the day of, I could answer every question with “ask Kristy” and she would always have the answer. As a very anxious and “type A” person I fully trusted Kristy and her team throughout the process which was wonderful for my sanity. I was able to offload all the thinking and logistics onto her and her team and be much more present at my wedding with my now wife and friends and family. Photos by Abby Carissimo.

Oh my goodness! Where do I start?! Candice/Signed in Pink Events was INCREDIBLE!!!! Talk about someone who goes above and beyond to bring your wedding day vision to life! I came across (Signed in Pink Events) as a recommendation from a bridal group on social media. After looking at some of her really positive 5 star reviews, I decided to reach out to her. I originally was looking for a day of coordinator when I reached out to Candice, however when I first saw her prices, I realized I could afford the month of coordination services which ended up being a great idea. I hired Candice/Signed in Pink Events over a year before my wedding on December 20th. From the moment I hired her, she IMMEDIATELY, put me at ease. She walked me through all of their services, the process, asked me plenty of questions to get a good feel of what I want and provided a lot of clarity for me. I quickly realized, she knew what she was doing! Candice and her team were hired for “month of coordination” however, Candice made herself available to me for whenever I had a question or needed some advisement. Over the year, she really helped me through the wedding planning process, even when I hired an untrustworthy beauty vendor. With her support and guidance, I was able to quickly get out of that contract and later went on to work with an AMAZING team of beauty vendors that Candice went back to verify. As type A as I am as a person, I truly felt that I could trust Candice’s judgement and knowledge and she NEVER steered me wrong! I was even able to relax a little bit with her supporting me. Candice also handled my wedding decor and I was THRILLED that I went with her. She managed to handle all the vendor stuff AND perfectly execute my husband and I’s decor vision. I checked in Candice at least every couple of weeks just because lol She is such a fun and helpful person, it was very easy to work with her and come to her for my bridal anxiety needs or general questions. By the time we were coming up on the time for her to officially begin her “month of” services, she knew EVERYTHING we wanted, how we wanted it, all of the vendors we were using, who she needed to follow up with, how to she was going to plan out walkthrough, meetings. She had her questions ready for vendors, welcome card for vendors, rehearsal layouts ready…just the whole 9 yards (and then some)! She had everything running like a well oiled machine leading up to the wedding day, and on the wedding day, she handled everything! I can’t tell you how many times she told me “I got you! Don’t worry about anything!” and she meant every word of it! She really had it! All the coordination between vendors, the decor vision, the schedule…it was all so smooth! And she got along with every one of my vendors! And they easily went to her with no issues. The day of my wedding was INCREDIBLE!!! All the decor was PERFECT!!! She went above and beyond!!! I was so excited!!! It was all worth it! She was the absolute best at what she does! No wonder she is an award winning event coordinator. She is an absolutely joy! If ANYONE is looking for a wedding event coordinator look no further! You have found her!!! She is professional, helpful, kind, detail oriented, organized, down to earth but also she is about her business! She and her team will make your vision happen! We interviewed so many planners, and Kolena stood out among the crowd. She is organized, creative, bright, and incredibly professional as well as friendly and relatable. On the day of our wedding, Kolena handled all of the set up, coordination, and tear down without bothering my husband or I with anything. She managed family, vendors, timelines, and all the day of fires with precision and grace. Diane was easily the best decision I made for my wedding. From the very beginning she had lots of helpful planning documents, answered every question I had, gave us ideas when we couldn't figure out how or when we wanted something to happen for our special day, stayed over time on our planning / check in calls to make sure we felt that we covered everything, and did all of this with a smile and supportive, kind attitude. You're going to spend a lot of time with your wedding planner / coordinator, so it's important that they're a good person and you like them! Well Diane is a gem of a human being, and I really do feel like I made a forever friend in her. Throughout the planning process and on the day, there were times when I just needed emotional support, and she was there for me. Her communication is prompt, consistent, and thorough. She got back to me on every email in a timely manner with all the answers I needed. I didn't realize at the time but strong communication was probably the MOST important aspect that made working with vendors 1000x better, and Diane excelled at it. Additionally, in the lead up to my wedding day and on the day itself, Diane was on top of EVERY detail. She went above and beyond to make sure that everything was PERFECT - just as I always dreamed it would be. From helping me iron my wedding dress while my bridesmaids and I were getting our makeup done to overseeing every vendor arrival and setup to making sure transitions from each part of the day were smooth - she did it all. No detail was too small for her, and because she's a total professional, she thought of everything! I cannot say enough good things about Diane, her abilities as a planner, and her warmth as a person. She will be the best decision that you make for your wedding, too.

We worked with Michelle as a day-of coordinator, starting about 8 weeks before the wedding. From the first call, it was clear how organized, friendly, and responsive she was. We had an additional barrier or being on different time zones, but she always handled it was ease and was a HUGE help with major tasks such as being in person for our venue walkthrough, coordinating with the venue about final details, making a day of schedule, and leading the rehearsal. We had so many questions for her, and she was always so informative and quick in responding to them. She truly made our day perfect, I don’t know what we would’ve done without her. She is clearly passionate about her work, and so professional and experienced. But beyond that, she sincerely cares about understanding our vision and making our day feel as special as possible. The day of the wedding, she was AMAZING. Words can’t even describe it. We didn’t have to lift a finger, she handled everything—setting up our DIY items, directing the wedding party where to go, coordinating with the other vendors, transitions, everything! We were blown away, and she still managed to check in with us throughout the day on top of being so busy! I am so grateful for the time and care Michelle gave us to make the day feel so special. We literally were completely stress free on our wedding day, and a HUGE part or that is due to Michelle. Thank you so much, Michelle! I wish I could give you more than 5 stars! We would recommend her to ANYONE.
