After speaking with a number of Boston and NY based bands, we came across Shaded Soul and had the opportunity to chat with Renee. For the first time in the process we didn't feel like we were being sold magazines at the door or an overpriced used car with hidden problems. Renee spoke with us like we were real people, had endless tips and tricks for planning a fantastic reception, and didn't nickel and dime us for every extra note sung or string strummed. Renee and Shaded Soul provided music for our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. They accommodated our friends acoustic guitar number during the ceremony, played playlists we had put together during times they weren't playing, but when it came time to play the right song to keep everyone on the dance floor, we left it to the band and they made all the right choices.... we saved money on booze because no one would take a break from dancing to go to the bar! The musicianship of this band is top notch, they are all masters of their crafts and unlike many other wedding bands they have clearly been playing together for years. No rotating through a roster of musicians, booking the band under the same name at multiple events in one night, just a group of talented players with a deep repertoire whose passion is getting people to dance and have a great time. “The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

Throughout the entire planning process he was extremely professional and communicative to our many questions and ideas (including one final change the morning of the wedding). He helped us think through and reorganize our run of show, including perfectly integrating a few live songs played by my brother in law! Shane took on our music request with excitement, especially after hearing we wanted house music that could somehow vibe with guests of all ages. To no surprise, Shane created the set of our dreams! The dance floor didn’t slow down for a second and had both kids and grandparents dancing until the last song…and then the last song after that when the full floor chanted for one more!! “One of the best decisions we made for our wedding was choosing vendors who are great people with passion, care, and great energy. DJ Kevin is all of the above - the vibes were immaculate. My husband is a musician so music was one of the most important aspects of the wedding for him and DJ Kevin met his high standards. Leading up to the wedding, Kevin was informative, communicative, and has the type of personality that helps melt the stress away (and I couldn't have appreciated that more in the last week before the wedding!). He was also adaptable without judgement which is sometimes in short supply in the wedding industry but goes a long, long way in my book. For the wedding, we created playlists for the different sections of the wedding, and Kevin knew just how to make our vision come to life --playing the right songs at just the right time and helping the wedding flow seamlessly. He also helped curate the perfect mood for dancing with his light design, and his new Photo Booth add on gave our guests an endless source of enjoyment when they needed to catch their breath off the dance floor. (And even more enjoyment for us when we got to see all the pictures and gifs people took after the wedding!). And if all that wasn't enough already, he even volunteered to take pictures during our sparkler exit and captured one of my favorite pictures of the whole day! If I ever needed to plan a big event again in the future, the choice for DJ is already made.”

All because of All In Entertainment! Even our older relatives who couldn't really get up to dance talked about how fun it was to see everyone up on the dance floor having the time of their lives. On the day of the wedding, because we didn't do the bouquet toss and stuff, there was some extra time before dinner. Anthony did a fantastic job figuring out a plan to fill the time and worked with our photographer to make sure the evening went smoothly.
