Hi! My name is Matt and I am the owner and head DJ of Style Points DJs. I began DJing in 2016 with my friend Jerry after discovering a mutual love for electronic dance music from the likes of Zedd, Martin Garrix, and Hardwell. I've found an overwhelming passion in DJing and event coordinating, so much so that I've worked tirelessly to do it full-time since 2021. I believe that the DJ is the cornerstone of wedding vendors and I do everything in my power to make sure that I can make the vision of your wedding into a reality.

I have a very extensive knowledge of all relevant music genres with a willingness to learn and try new things. I take pride in not being your average wedding DJ who will stick to only the 'Top 100 Wedding Hits' and instead curates the music to each individual crowd. No two crowds are the same, and I believe by putting my time into extensive planning for each event that I am able to realize the full potential of any wedding. I also work with my couples throughout the entirety of the process from booking 'til wedding day to ensure comfortability and preparedness in every aspect.

    Incredible Wedding DJ!

    We hired Matt as our wedding DJ and he did such an amazing job! As one of the last ones in a long line of friends and family to get married I did not want any of those cliche/over played wedding songs. Matt 100% understood the assignment and delivered us such a fun mix of dancing all night. He totally played off the vibe of the guests and we enjoyed all the songs till the very end! He did an incredible job as the MC as well, and played the perfect music to get us through dinner. I highly recommend booking him for your event you will not be disappointed!

    Great DJ!

    We hired Matt for our wedding in August 2025. He was amazing! He curated the perfect music for our guests making the night unforgettable. He was able to make any announcements we needed and was so attentive. He also provided our sound for the ceremony and cocktail hour which was amazing! We would recommend his services to anyone!!

    Wedding DJ

    Matt did a fantastic job as our wedding DJ! He was very responsive and understanding whenever I had questions. My husband's family is 100% polish, Matt was so accommodating with their traditions and every request we had. I could not have been more grateful. The music was perfectly on point for every part of the night and he definitely had us all on the dance floor! To quote my guests they "have been to a lot of clubs but Matt is the best DJ they have had by far". Thank you for helping to make our big day one that we will truly remember forever.

    Fun and Creative

    Style Points DJs was fantastic to work with for our wedding! From the beginning, Matt was quick and easy to communicate with, always responding promptly to our inquiries. He took the time to thoroughly understand our song preferences and timeline, incorporating our suggestions into a fun and high-quality reception playlist that had everyone dancing all night long. The value he provided was excellent - the service was fairly priced and the quality of his work was superb. We couldn't have asked for a better DJ! My family members aren’t all big dancers, but he had us all out there cutting a rug!

I arrive about 2 hours early to ensure that I'm ready well before start time!
You as the couple can determine this! Generally at weddings I will only play a request if it makes sense and will work with the crowd I'm DJing for. Just because a guest requests a song does not automatically mean I will play it.
Yes! Most of my reviews are hosted on Google, so just Google 'Style Points DJs'! I also have a good amount of reviews on Zola itself.
This is where I differ from most wedding DJs. I mix music from dinner to the end of reception. By doing this, I'm able to craft a specific vibe and gradually ramp up the energy through dinner with feel-good tracks. This often results in people being eager to dance before the dance floor even opens. Furthermore, I don't feel the need to "heckle" people or utilize any gimmicks such as an "entertainer persona" to get people dancing. I provide an atmosphere where everyone feels welcome, no pressure!
Yes! I can provide insurance for any event.
I wear a suit and dress shirt to all events.
I take a lot of time to work with my couples and develop individualized setlists that will cater to their specific event. It's not unusual to hear from couples who are sick of the same, tired songs that they hear at every wedding. I use dynamic taste making and professional transitions to ensure that the music flows in an exciting way. I am constantly looking for new music and creative ways to blend songs together to bring out the best in my dance floors!
I do not charge travel or setup/breakdown fees.
I provide dance floor lighting at all events and can provide uplighting by request. We are able to provide photo booths through partner companies that we work with.
This completely depends on the event that I am DJing. I am well-versed in all types of modern and throwback music, but I will generally lean into one or two different genres if I find that the crowd is looking for that. My style is dynamic, and I like to keep it interesting throughout the event, jumping between genres smoothly and with professional transitions so that everyone feels as though they heard something they enjoyed.
I provide all of my own equipment such as professional-grade sound, DJ controllers, wireless microphones, dance floor lighting, PA systems, uplighting, stands, tables, and cables.
After the initial message, we can schedule a call to discuss your event and some background information. If we are a mutual fit, through discussing music choice and event logistics, I will provide a quote. After providing a quote, you can look it over and let me know if you'd like to move forward. If you would, then we will do a contract and deposit to secure the day.
There is a clause in my contract that states that if there is an emergency in which I cannot DJ for you, I will find a replacement DJ of equal or greater value and provide a refund for any payments made.
Absolutely! I encourage sending over sampler playlists of your tastes to give ideas of what music to play. With that being said, we won't just press play and call it a day; I take these playlists and structure my sets around the music provided to ensure they flow well. All must-play and do-not-play lists can be put on the questionnaire form.
I was lucky enough to find DJing during a special time in my life. Some of the most special memories that I hold include DJing for others and sharing in their momentous occasions. It really is an indescribable feeling when you look out to the dance floor and see other people who you may not even know losing themselves to the music you play. There are so many other positives besides just making people dance, such as being able to visit new areas, meet amazing couples, witness once-in-a-lifetime occasions, and improve my creative ability!
As soon as possible! Even if things are not finalized immediately, it is much better to contact early to check availability and begin planning. We can have multiple conversations over the course of several weeks if necessary while you nail down the details. We book some of our events up to three years in advance.
