All of our DJ's come from this background of skilled mixing.     We are so thankful to TJ and the entire Dawson Entertainment team for putting on such an amazing show at our wedding. Throughout the entire process, from the first introductory call to the actual wedding, TJ couldn’t have been more professional and helpful. We appreciated his knowledge about how to properly run a wedding, along with his willingness to work with us on our key priorities from a music perspective. He asked the right questions, both to us and to our our planner/on-site staff, to ensure everything ran smoothly. On the day of, TJ exceeded our high expectations and helped us throw a fantastic party. We received countless compliments from our guests about the DJ’s performance. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of DJ, and we highly recommend TJ and Dawson Entertainment to anyone in the market.

    Highly recommend!

    Working with Dawson Entertainment was one of the best choices we made for our wedding!! Our DJ Jake was amazing; he kept everyone energized the whole night and kept the vibe so fun. We got so many complements on the DJ set and blending songs from all of our friends and family! The office staff was also great to work with and super responsive. Everything from the planning, ceremony, and reception was flawless!

    The Energy That Made Our Wedding Unforgettable

    We could not have asked for a better DJ for our wedding than Jason from Dawson Entertainment. From the very beginning, Jason was incredibly professional, responsive, and helpful. He went far beyond simply showing up and playing music—he took the time to understand what we wanted and offered thoughtful suggestions that helped us put together the perfect soundtrack for our wedding. What really stood out to us was Jason’s ability to read the room and find exactly the right balance throughout the night. His music selections were spot-on, the transitions were flawless, and he brought an incredible energy to the dance floor without ever feeling over the top. He somehow always seemed to know what song would keep the momentum going and when to change things up. Our wedding simply would not have had the same atmosphere without him. Dawson Entertainment also provided our photo booth and uplighting, which were fantastic additions to the reception and helped create the exact atmosphere we were hoping for. Having everything handled so seamlessly by one team made the entire experience that much easier. Jason played a huge role in making our wedding such a fun and memorable night. His professionalism, expertise, and ability to keep the energy going are truly exceptional.     Dawson Entertainment did not disappoint!

    The DJ for our wedding was one of the top priorities for us and Dawson Entertainment did not disappoint. We ended up working with Donny who made the process very easy. Within a few quick calls we were able to get all the details set. On the day of, the sound and music for the ceremony were great and when it came time for the reception it was an all night party with the exact vibe we requested. I would highly recommend Dawson Entertainment to others looking for a great wedding/event DJ.

    Dawson Entertainment creates superior experiences. They exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend them. We worked directly with Jason Dawson, who was the MC and DJ for our wedding at the Rosecliff in Newport. His experience and achievements speak for themselves, and he certainly delivers as advertised. He facilitated detailed planning with ease and went the extra mile in curating a playlist we loved (including remixes of some classic songs that we wanted to hear but weren't conducive to dancing in their original form). He works closely with his clients to achieve the sound, look and that feel they want. We benefited greatly from his deep understanding of how to craft a musical playlist that (i) includes songs you love, (ii) effectively creates the atmosphere you seek, and (iii) manages / enhances your guests' energy. On the big day: the setup went on without a hitch, the audio both outside and inside were very high quality, volume was on point, his booth and equipment looked great, Jason was well dressed and professional, and his music was FANTASTIC. It's never a bad thing to listen to guest request, but we do use our best judgment to decide if we actually play a request or not, based on our past experience playing the song and our conversations with you, the couple hosting the event. Even if a song request will not quite fit the vibe of the event, it may guide us to play something similar that would work for the dance floor.

We arrive 1.5-2 hours before our start time for set up. We like to give plenty of time so we don't have to rush.
Yes, we can provide full Uplighting, Pin Spots, Monograms, Marquee Letters and Mirror Photo Booth!
All taxes are included in the price.
We do not charge for setup or break down. We only charge from the time we start playing music at the beginning of the event until we stop playing music at the end of the event. Our travel radius is 2 hours from Griswold, CT. Anything beyond that would require a travel fee and/or hotel accommodations.
First and foremost, we’re lovers of music and we started DJing to share that love with the world. We come from a nightclub background with a focus on playing music that makes people dance! We use our smooth nightclub mixing and blending techniques to make every transition between songs smooth, seamless and interesting to keep the energy up so there is always a fun vibe on the dance floor.
