With his background in nightlife event production as Music Director and resident DJ at Shrine Nightclub inside Foxwoods, Jason combines the high energy, smooth transition mixing style of a nightclub DJ with the refined experience and fun playlist of a wedding DJ to keep the dance floor rocking! All of our DJ's come from this background of skilled mixing.     Amazing DJ!

    We cannot recommend Dawson Entertainment enough! Jason was absolutely amazing and played a huge role in making our wedding such a fun and unforgettable celebration. From the very beginning, Jason was communicative, responsive, and easy to work with. We shared songs and music preferences with him before the wedding, and he did a fantastic job pulling everything together into a playlist that perfectly matched our style and kept the energy going all night long. He read the crowd so well, and the dance floor was packed for the entire reception. We had multiple guests came up to us after the wedding asking for his contact information because they wanted to use him for their own weddings and events in the future. We couldn't have been happier with our experience!

    Amazing DJ for our wedding!

    We hired Dawson to be the DJ for our July 2026 wedding at Glen Manor. We knew we wanted a dance party, where we never had a dull moment and we REALLY wanted a DJ who could feel if people were starting to leave the dance floor and pull them back in! Jason delivered this beyond our wildest expectations. Working with him prior to our wedding was equally incredible. He made a song from pieces of other songs we sent him, just for one of our special moments and it was incredibly impactful on the wedding party, and especially our family. We could not have hoped for a better experience. Dawson was beyond professional, really got the beats and DJ'ed us the best wedding we could have imagined!

    Absolutely phenomenal DJ & company!

    DJ Jake was absolutely phenomenal! So professional and reasonably priced. I've worked with Dawson in the past and I've always appreciated the fact that they are just great people. Jason runs a great business & DJ Jake was no exception! Our dance floor was packed all night and our guests have not stopped complimenting us on the music. Our older guests noted they have not danced like that in a long time - we love DJ Jake!

    Fantastic experience with Dawson Entertainment

    Dawson Entertainment was great to work with and TJ did a stellar job with our wedding. After a few conversations and some references to our preferred vibes for music at different points of the night, he was able to put together a great plan, read the room, and transition songs to keep the room on the dance floor. We also opted for a Photo Booth as a late addition, which was a fun touch for the guests that left us with a photo album of goofy pictures we will fondly look back on. We can’t image the night having gone any better and highly recommend Dawson Entertainment.

    We are so thankful to TJ and the entire Dawson Entertainment team for putting on such an amazing show at our wedding. Throughout the entire process, from the first introductory call to the actual wedding, TJ couldn’t have been more professional and helpful. We appreciated his knowledge about how to properly run a wedding, along with his willingness to work with us on our key priorities from a music perspective. He asked the right questions, both to us and to our our planner/on-site staff, to ensure everything ran smoothly. On the day of, TJ exceeded our high expectations and helped us throw a fantastic party. We received countless compliments from our guests about the DJ’s performance. We couldn’t be happier with our choice of DJ, and we highly recommend TJ and Dawson Entertainment to anyone in the market.

It's never a bad thing to listen to guest request, but we do use our best judgment to decide if we actually play a request or not, based on our past experience playing the song and our conversations with you, the couple hosting the event. Even if a song request will not quite fit the vibe of the event, it may guide us to play something similar that would work for the dance floor.

We arrive 1.5-2 hours before our start time for set up. We like to give plenty of time so we don't have to rush.
Yes, we can provide full Uplighting, Pin Spots, Monograms, Marquee Letters and Mirror Photo Booth!
All taxes are included in the price.
We do not charge for setup or break down. We only charge from the time we start playing music at the beginning of the event until we stop playing music at the end of the event. Our travel radius is 2 hours from Griswold, CT. Anything beyond that would require a travel fee and/or hotel accommodations.
First and foremost, we’re lovers of music and we started DJing to share that love with the world. We come from a nightclub background with a focus on playing music that makes people dance! We use our smooth nightclub mixing and blending techniques to make every transition between songs smooth, seamless and interesting to keep the energy up so there is always a fun vibe on the dance floor.
