As a small boy, I would sit for hours watching my mother hand-color portraits for a local photographer, during the cold winter months, by a fire in our family room. From there I began taking my own pictures with my first box camera. Fast forward to a restless twenty-something working as a microbiologist, taking weddings and portraits on weekends. Eventually I graduated college with an M.A. in Photography and started out in Chicago, assisting numerous photographers, shooting everything from oranges to weddings. I have been fortunate to have worked all over the world. Photography is more than a job, it’s an avocation, a passion, it's what I do.

That was 2017, and I have only earned my living through a lens since then. Bills, pandemics and doubters - be damned. I am still here, and I am here for you.

Why do I take photos? Well I’m glad you asked! When I was a teenager I was thrown from one of my horses and lost my long term memory. Thankfully my father was into photography and I notice that looking back at family photos helped to trigger my memory! With the fear of hitting my head and potentially loosing my memory again, I started taking photography classes and was obsessive about taking photos. Whenever I take photos for a client I remember how important it was to my recovery to have images of my life.
