I've been capturing weddings since 2009. My style is classic/true to color and my approach is a mix of directive (for posed parts of the day) and candid. Overall, I blend into the background as much as possible when it's appropriate, capturing things as they happen and I help you create portraits with gentle direction and humor where necessary. It is your day. let’s work together to make your photos the best record of your memories they can be! I look forward to working with you!

    I’ve been working with Shawna for over a decade. In that time Shawna has captured beautiful photos of my college graduation portraits, couples’ photos, and mother/daughter photos. For my Halloween Masquerade themed wedding she went above and beyond on a cold, rainy, October day to make sure we got the perfect shot. It has been wonderful working with a photographer that has become a part of our family and a dear friend, as she continues to capture different milestones in our lives including our recent pregnancy announcement. Her photo editing skills are amazing and natural, but just enough to make you feel confident and comfortable in every image.     Shawna was so amazing to work with! She traveled to be at our wedding and was still able to go check out our first look spot and the venue before coming to meet us for getting ready photos. She was so fun and easy to have around while we were getting ready, and then gave amazing direction during our first look and wedding party photos. My now husband and I rarely take pictures and definitely felt a little awkward posing, but she gave such great direction that we felt much more comfortable. We now have all the photos back and they are incredible!! She really managed to get pictures of everything we wanted, and our pre-ceremony pictures are truly magical. I cannot recommend Shawna enough!
