I've been capturing weddings since 2009. My style is classic/true to color and my approach is a mix of directive (for posed parts of the day) and candid. Overall, I blend into the background as much as possible when it's appropriate, capturing things as they happen and I help you create portraits with gentle direction and humor where necessary. It is your day. let’s work together to make your photos the best record of your memories they can be! I look forward to working with you!

    Great experience

    Working with LotusFly for our wedding photography was a breeze! From the moment we started working with Shawna during our research phase, we ultimately picked LotusFly because of Shawna's communication style- warm, friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. Every interaction was smooth and reassuring. For our engagement shoot we worked with Kevin, and he made us feel comfortable the entire time! He was great at walking us through the process and keeping it light and funny. For our wedding day we worked with Kevin and Amber! They absolutely crushed the first looks by making sure we didn't cross paths before the first look, which took some strategy. They also did a great job managing the group photos, and we got them all done with time left for extras of me and the groom. Overall, Shawna, Kevin & Amber were a delight and I would recommend them for any event, especially weddings!

    Thank you thank you thank you, Maggie! I know I've said it before, but the way you two look at one another is electric, which makes it sooooo easy to photograph you! Also, we can't beat getting to work with a cool vintage car and during speeches, hearing his dad beam with pride (and happy tears) over that car and the history of it definitely made us tear up behind the cameras as well! Typically, couples book me about 13 months before their wedding date. I encourage you to reach out as soon as possible about my availability, even if you’re planning on a shorter time frame. I do have several very talented associate lead photographers I can generally book with shorter notice if I'm already booked!
Definitely. All final images will be edited for color, saturation, exposure, and sharpness to ensure they look beautiful. I also offer retouching services like blemish removal and teeth whitening on the couple in most of my packages for no extra charge!
I do! I recently added 3 videographers to my business so that you can book everything in one place if you like! I also work well with videographers from other companies! We're all on the same team with the same goal...to get you the best record of your day!
You will see at least 2 teaser images within a day or two of your wedding! My turnaround time varies by season. Typically, you’ll be able to view your photos online about 1-6 weeks after your wedding. Within this time, you can also expect to receive a download link with high-resolution image files and a print release so you can share the photos with your loved ones and order prints.
You can expect about 50 to 100 images per hour of photographing. But keep in mind this estimate varies depending on your wedding package (number of photographers and hours), number of guests, venue type, schedule for the day, and other factors.
Absolutely! Just let me know if your venue requires a certificate of liability, and I’ll send that over to them.
In my 12 years of experience as a wedding photographer, I’ve never cancelled a booking. In the very rare event that I’m unable to photograph your wedding, I’ll make sure you’re covered by one of my contracted colleagues. Everyone I employ is up to the same photographic standards and I edit all of the work, so the style is consistent with what you see in all of my online portfolios!
I do! My most popular packages include two photographers and I have several lead and second shooters that I also contract out for weddings when I am previously booked! They are all amazing people and talented photographers and I know you'll be happy with whoever we book for you!
