Hi! Welcome. My name is Makena a late-twenties photographer in the greater Milwaukee Area! When not photographing people or pets ((personal information protected by Zola)), I am photographing homes for real estate (yes – I know what you’re thinking… “Boring!” but hey, sometimes it’s nice to photograph things that don’t move or run away from you.) But in my actual free time, I am editing photos, hanging with my mini-family, going to F45, or crashing my neighbor's pool. I am a family, newborn, portrait, and branding photographer. But honestly, I love what I do so much that I can shoot whatever you’re looking for, just inquire!

    We hired Makena to shoot our engagement photos and our wedding phots. Our engagement session was great and Makena's energy was amazing - she was so fun and made the experience easy! We loved the photos and it made us so excited for the wedding day. Leading up to the wedding, her communication was perfect - reached out frequently, and any time we had a question she answered immediately. She created a timeline which was beyond helpful because one of my top stressors was making sure we were on time, not rushed, and got everything in before sunset [December wedding calls for a 4:15pm sunset unfortunately!!]. Makena's energy the whole day was again absolutely perfect. Hyped me up the entire time and was by our side directing us as needed to make sure we got all of the shots we wanted. She kept the flow going and made sure we still had so much fun in between all the photos [and of course during photos :)]. She got us sneak peeks the next day !!!! and we were absolutely in LOVE. We couldn't wait to see the whole album!! By the end of the month she got us our entire album!! They were absolutely PERFECT, I do not say that lightly! We're obsessed with our photos and the services Makena provided throughout the entire process & through our day. I HIGHLY recommend booking Makena, you won't regret it and she will make your day so easy & so beautiful! :)

    We had Makena as our wedding photographer for our November wedding. She was absolutely amazing to work with! It has taken me a little bit to write a review because there's a million things I could write about and narrowing it down was a task. First, she was more than willing to meet with us well before the wedding to go over what to expect because we were in the dark about the whole wedding process so knowing what we needed to tell a photographer was new to us. She went above and beyond. As a bride I was a little stressed that day and she helped me in everyway. She gave advice, was so generous as to go and receive something I needed, even went to check on things and communicated things for me. I never would have expected that but it honestly helped me out tremendously and actually was a main point to helping the wedding go so smoothly. My husband and I aren't exactly comfortable taking pictures and I was nervous because I wouldn't know how we were suppose to pose or anything like that. Makena made us feel comfortable and directed us for the photos, which took away any nervousness. She was so warm and friendly. We even had a lot of comments from our guests about how nice she was. Our pictures came out amazing. She gave us a sneak peak the morning after which was so awesome to get to show off. The pictures came back at a more than reasonable time and I was very impressed by them. Her work is amazing and she is just a great person all around. Anyone would be lucky to get to work with her. We look forward to working with her for any other photoshoots we have in the future and recommend her to everyone we can. Thank you Makena for all that you did for us. We are so lucky!

    I'm so happy we found Makena! She gave us a call before the big day to go over our ideas and different photo options. On the big day, she was bright and happy but relaxed at the same time which really put me at ease. She took so many photos to make sure we had options. Plus, our final photos were done way before we were expecting them to. If we need another photographer, Makena is my go to.
