Over 200 times since 2013, I’ve hopped out of bed in the morning with butterflies in my stomach & stars in my eyes as I’ve loaded up my camera bag & headed out the door to capture a beautiful wedding day. I fell into wedding photography 10 years ago & truly did not know what kind of adventure it would lead me on. Each love story I have the privilege of documenting is different from the last & this continuous dive into the unknown is what keeps me excited! I draw inspiration from traveling (27 countries & counting), history & architecture, growing food and flowers on my farm & hanging with my husband & our 2 pups! I know what it means to commit to someone, to truly live out the vows of for better or for worse, for richer or poorer, in sickness & in health. I believe in forever love & growing old together & I can't wait to celebrate with you!

    Highly recommend!

    We truly had such a fantastic experience working with Andrea for our wedding photography! Everything from her incredible photos to her quick communication was amazing. Andrea is kind, professional, and easy to work with. Our day-of coordinator even mentioned how great she was and how responsive she was to all of the vendors throughout the planning process. Before the wedding, we had several meetings to talk through the timeline and review the specific shots we were hoping to capture. She took everything we wanted and so much more. Our photos are absolutely stunning, and I truly can’t stop looking at them. We’re so grateful to have these memories captured so beautifully and would recommend Andrea to anyone in a heartbeat!

    Great Decision!

    My husband and I were nervous when looking for a photographer - and when we saw Andrea’s work, we were excited to reach out! Neither of us had ever gotten professional photos taken, so we didn’t know what to expect. Before we even booked her, Andrea put us at ease, wanting to get to know us and what we were looking for without pressure to make a firm decision in the moment. She asked great questions and was very open to doing what we wanted, while helping guide us if we weren’t sure. She was super flexible and adapted to the extremes of weather conditions, giving great direction for poses and making us feel comfortable. She did a fantastic job capturing candidates during the ceremony and reception - we have so many favorites! Booking with her was one of the best decisions we made!

    Memories We Will Cherish for a Lifetime

    Andrea felt like more than just our wedding photographer — she felt like someone who truly cared about us and our story. From our first call, we knew she was the right fit. She took time to get to know us and made everything feel personal and easy. We were nervous about engagement photos at first, but she made the experience feel so natural and comfortable. By the wedding day, it felt like having a friend there supporting us and celebrating with us. She was such a calming presence throughout the day, especially before our first look when I was feeling very anxious. She went above and beyond to make sure we felt supported and taken care of.     Truly incredible experience with Andrea!

    Before we even got engaged, I had already started to look for wedding vendors as we would be planning our Wisconsin wedding from out of state. With so many photographers in the wedding game, it was hard to figure out exactly what we wanted until I came across Andrea and her Whimsical Roots page. I was immediately hooked and wanted to book her as soon as possible. It was clear from her style that she cared about her clients, and I wanted a wedding album that reflected that warmth and authenticity. From our first phone call, we adored Andrea. She was so easy to talk to and was eagerly waiting for the news when we officially got engaged. Throughout our engagement, Andrea kept up with us, making sure things were going well in the planning process and even sent us a New Years greeting card – truly above and beyond! When it came to wedding day, Andrea was an absolute angel. I did not think about how many quiet, raw moments I would be alone with just a photographer and videographer on wedding day: reading a letter from my soon-to-be-husband, taking bridal shots on a back porch, and waiting in a back room before finding my dad for our grand entrance. It was such a comfort to have Andrea be the person who was with me in those tender moments. Her presence was a gift for which I will forever be grateful. Once the main events started, Andrea was a rockstar as she navigated a semi-public space, a boat ride that was pretty bumpy, and an entire event outside with the sunlight fading too quickly. She made everything look easy and kept such a positive, energetic attitude the entire day. We still talk about how much we laughed while taking photos because she made it so fun! The turn around time for our final photos was quicker than we expected, and we are so blessed to have such beautiful, timeless works of art to remember our special day.

Yes! Absolutely. I have traveled to 27 countries and my passport is up to date. I have photographed a lovely beach wedding in Cabo san Lucas and will be traveling to Lake Como this October for an elopement adventure!

I recommend reaching out for wedding photography services at least 9 months before your celebration. Portrait sessions do fill up quickly also so reach out at least 2 months prior to when you’d like to have them done. Fall is crazy busy, keep that in mind!

Knock on wood, this has never happened before (Thank God!!), but if something does arise, I do have a fantastic network of photographers that I collaborate with who could come to my rescue!
Yes! I work with a network of amazing photographers in the area and we help each other out when it comes to second shooting wedding celebrations! The benefits of having more than one photographer on your day are numerous! Having a second photographer at your wedding allows for more creativity and different perspectives in your final gallery. A second photographer can also help streamline the timeline of your day if you have a large wedding party, guest count or multiple locations involved. ​
I use Pinterest from time to time for inspiration but I do not typically do copy-cat images since there are so many variables involved. I do have a Timeline Worksheet that I use for my wedding couples to list out all of the shots they’d like to have captured. It helps keep the day-of organized and running smoothly!
I provide fully retouched, high-resolution images in an online gallery with full printing rights. You may use your images for personal use. I retain all rights.
No. RAW images straight out of camera are dull and unrefined. The real magic happens during post processing when the various editing techniques I employ bring the images to life.
No. I curate and then furnish all of the beautiful images from your gallery. You can expect at least 75-100 images in your final gallery.
For a regular session, you can expect a minimum of 75 images. For a typical full wedding day, you can expect a minimum of 1200 images.
I keep the lines of communication open with my clients because some seasons are busier than others but normally, regular sessions are delivered within 2 weeks. Weddings are delivered within 60 days.
