I loved that he had outfit options, as our wedding was themed "Love Through the Ages" and we requested all of our guests to wear attire from their favorite decade. It was fabulous that we were able to pick his super awesome outfit to stand out (and in theme) for the wedding. He curated the most amazing playlist, based on our theme, so we got to drift through music from the 20's, 30's, 40's, and all the way through to current day. He is such a charismatic and engaging host and was able to convince folks (who I never thought would have danced) to get onto the dance floor. I can't say enough about how pleased we were with Brandon's talents and feel so grateful that The Knot had him on their vendor list for us to find.”

“Our experience working with Jamie and Ceremony DJs can be best summed up by the fact that multiple people told us after the ceremony they wanted to book him for their wedding and at least one got his business card! I can't imagine a better DJ, truly. When we first met with Jamie, he said he could make people dance to anything and would keep people on the dance floor all night, and he WAS NOT LYING. The whole night, the dance floor was PACKED even though it was rainy/muddy/cold/wet. Jamie took us on a journey that covered all of the bases of the music we love to hear and dance to, seamlessly and magically (?) integrating genres with the best mixes, it was pure wizardry and really captured who we were. We as a couple care a lot about music and wanted music that represented who we were and what we like to listen to, and he did not disappoint! So much prep work went into this, he took patience and time to try to understand our tastes and vibe, and it was so cool to have the wedding played on vinyl- basically, Jamie just "got it" from start to finish and we had the best time! Our wedding also got delayed due to rain and a road closure and he was such a good sport, staying late to keep us all dancing for a whole other hour- so fun! Also, when our ceremony musician was stuck in traffic due to the storm, he was so prepared and had our prelude/processional music downloaded so we could still walk down the aisle to the songs we'd chosen. Overall, such a cool, kind, funny guy who was professional and prepared in every way and honest just takes time to meet and know his clients, and clearly just loves to share his love of music. I would book him for everything if I could. BOOK THIS DJ. You will NOT regret it!”

Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process, and he made himself available for phone calls whenever we had questions or wanted to go over details. The music planning forms were easy to use and made organizing everything—from our ceremony music to the reception—simple and stress-free. Our venue had several different areas that all required separate sound setups, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, and everything transitioned seamlessly. “We had a great time working with Rian. We really loved Rian's passion for music. We provided a list of songs for Rian and he did a great job curating the music and his additions worked very well. His mixing was smooth and clean! Our wedding venue was in a remote location and Rian was able to provide equipment for three separate sites with only one site being indoors with outlets. Rian was also responsive and clear during our email correspondences prior to the wedding. He was on time and his setup occurred without a hitch.”

“The Lucky Devils Band absolutely made our wedding reception! From our initial phone call with Meredith, we knew we were in excellent hands. She took the time to thoroughly understand our vision and musical tastes, making thoughtful suggestions along the way. Communication was prompt, fun, and Meredith was so approachable throughout the planning process. On the big day, the band blew us away with their incredible talent and ability to perfectly execute our song requests, from jazz to oldies to classic rock. As musicians ourselves, we were so impressed by their skill level and experience and professionalism. During cocktail hour, two musicians played jazz, then they switched to rock mode for the reception. They truly made it feel like our own personal concert and kept people on the dance floor for literally 3 hours! The energy was palpable from their very first note, and their song selections kept guests of all ages dancing all night long. They ended the evening with “Purple Rain” by Prince and it made my life. We can't recommend the Lucky Devils Band highly enough - they were total professionals and our biggest splurge, but SO worth it I’d do it a million times over!!”

First up, they are obviously very musically talented - their style is fun for everyone of all ages and they are open to working with you for your preferences. They went above and beyond by making a special arrangement of our first dance song. We wanted to practice dancing to their rendition before the big day, so Emily shared a recording of it with us which was extremely helpful. Emily is a true professional, helping us organize all of the details and logistics in addition to emceeing for the evening and bringing her gorgeous singing voice, and each member of the band brings their own talents and flair.
