Hi, I'm Noam — founder of Sunny Entertainment and bandleader of Sunny Jazz Band. I met my husband in music school over a decade ago, and we built this business out of a shared love for live music and a dream of making couples' wedding days unforgettable. Sunny Jazz Band is a Los Angeles–based live music ensemble performing at weddings across Southern California, the Bay Area, Las Vegas, and beyond. We've had the honor of sharing stages with artists like Pitbull and John Legend, but the events closest to our hearts will always be the weddings — the first dances, the dance floors that don't empty until the very last song. We live for it.

Three things set us apart. First, our flexibility: we scale from an intimate jazz trio to a full 10-piece show band, so we match the vibe and budget of any wedding. Second, our range: we cover jazz standards, Bossa Nova, Motown, and modern pop hits with sophisticated jazzy arrangements — in 4 languages, making us a natural fit for multicultural weddings. Third, our reliability: we show up early, sound incredible, read the room, and never miss a cue.     Sunny Jazz Band

    We booked Sunny Jazz Band for the reception of our wedding and it was hands down the best decision we made. They played a full dinner set that completely transformed the room - guests stopped mid-bite to listen, and we had people coming up to us all night asking who the band was. The musicianship was world-class. What really blew us away was the sound. We handle smooth transitions between each phase, adjusting our sound to match the energy of every moment. Many couples book us for the full day so they only have to coordinate with one music vendor. We also offer ceremony-only or cocktail-hour-only configurations if you have a DJ for the reception.

Absolutely — your wedding, your music. We work closely with every couple to curate a custom setlist that reflects your story, including special requests for your first dance, parent dances, and key moments. We're happy to learn new songs in advance when needed (see our song-learning policy below), and during the event we can take live requests from you or your guests when it fits the flow of the night. Your vision drives the playlist.
Yes, we love bringing your favorite songs to life. We typically include a small number of custom song learnings in each booking — perfect for first dances, parent dances, or songs with personal meaning. Additional custom arrangements can be added for a fee. Just send us the song(s) you'd love to hear, ideally 6–8 weeks before your wedding, and we'll prepare a beautiful jazz-inspired arrangement that fits our ensemble's sound. We treat every custom request with the care it deserves.
We typically arrive 2 to 3 hours before our scheduled start time - fully professional and never rushed - to set up the sound. For larger band configurations (7-piece and up) or venues with complex load-in requirements, we may request additional setup time. We coordinate directly with your venue and planner ahead of the event to ensure everything is seamless. By the time guests arrive, we're sound-checked, dressed, and ready to play. You won't have to think about a thing.
Yes, Sunny Jazz Band carries full liability insurance, and we can provide a Certificate of Insurance (COI) for your venue upon request. Most venues require this from any live entertainment vendor, and we're happy to send it directly to your venue coordinator at no additional cost. We're a fully licensed, professional ensemble — so you can book us with complete confidence that every business and venue requirement will be handled.
