Yes. I’m happy to learn special requests for ceremonies, processionals, recessionals, first dances, or other meaningful moments. I can also help suggest repertoire if you know the mood you want but not the exact piece. Some requests may require advance notice and may incur additional costs, depending on difficulty and instrumentation.
Yes. Ceremony music is one of my main services. I can play prelude music, processional music, music during the ceremony if needed, and recessional music. I can perform solo guitar or arrange music for a duo, trio, quartet, or another ensemble depending on the sound you want.
Both. I can provide elegant background music for cocktail hour, dinner, or guest arrival, or a foreground musical moment where guests are meant to listen closely. The performance can be intimate and understated, or more expressive and attention-grabbing depending on the flow of the wedding.
I perform classical, jazz, pop, rock, Spanish, Latin, Broadway, flamenco, Balkan, crossover, world music, and more. For weddings, I often combine classical guitar elegance with familiar melodies, romantic songs, Spanish/Latin colors, and custom requests chosen by the couple.
Refined, expressive, and personal. I bring the background of an international concert guitarist and UCLA guitar professor, but the goal is always to serve the wedding. I shape the music around the room, the timing, the couple’s taste, and the atmosphere they want to create.
Yes. I carry general liability insurance up to $2 million and can provide unlimited certificates of insurance. Standard COIs are included. Special insurance language, such as waiver of subrogation or primary and non-contributory wording, may require an added fee depending on what the venue requests.
Yes. Professional amplification for my own performance, or for the booked ensemble, is included when needed. If you need microphones or audio support for officiants, vows, readers, announcements, or speeches, that is available as a separate add-on.
Yes. In addition to live music, I can provide ceremony microphone support, sound services, amplification, equipment rental, and emcee/moderation support. My own performance amplification is included when needed; extra microphones and audio support for other speakers are available as add-ons.
I arrive with enough time to set up, tune, and be ready before the contracted start time. A brief setup and soundcheck immediately before the performance is included. Extended early arrival, long waiting time, or a separate soundcheck earlier in the day may require an added fee.
LA County travel is included in my standard packages. Typical travel add-ons for solo guitar are: Orange County +$75, Ventura County +$120, Riverside/San Bernardino +$120, Santa Barbara +$160, and San Diego +$180. I also perform outside Southern California, but flights, lodging, and travel details are quoted case by case.
Yes. You can book solo guitar, a duo, trio, quartet, or a larger custom ensemble. Solo guitar is elegant and intimate; ensembles create a fuller sound and more presence. I can help recommend the right setup based on your ceremony, cocktail hour, reception, venue, and budget.
Yes. I have been awarded 113 music awards, 6 university degrees in guitar performance, and received 100 perfect reviews across platforms. I am also a Doctor of Musical Arts and the principal guitar professor at UCLA. Throughout my multi-decade career, I've performed over 500 concerts on 5 continents.
Absolutely. I regularly coordinate with planners, officiants, venues, DJs, and other vendors about timing, placement, processional cues, setup needs, and ceremony flow. The goal is to make the music feel seamless and avoid adding stress to the wedding day.
Yes. Some couples know exactly what they want; others only know the general feeling. I can help choose music for the prelude, processional, ceremony moments, and recessional, and I can suggest options that fit classical, romantic, Spanish, modern, intimate, or cinematic moods.
Not for solo, duo, or trio performances under 3 hours. I bring my own battery-powered amplification. However, power may be required for longer events, quartet bookings, larger ensembles, or if certain add-ons are booked (ceremony microphones, sound services, or other audio support). I’ll confirm the exact setup before the event.
For solo guitar, I only need a regular chair with no armrests, water, and a safe performance area protected from direct sun, rain, wind, and sprinklers. Please avoid office chairs, armchairs, bar stools, or unstable seating. For ensembles or sound services, setup needs may vary and will be confirmed before the event.
Yes, as long as the performance area is protected from direct sun, rain, strong wind, sprinklers, and unsafe ground conditions. Instruments and audio equipment are sensitive to weather, so shade or cover is important for outdoor ceremonies, cocktail hours, and receptions.
A brief setup and soundcheck immediately before the contracted start time is always included. If the venue requires an earlier separate soundcheck, extended waiting time, or early arrival well before the performance window, an added fee may apply depending on the schedule.
