Dream Come True
From the very beginning, working with Joe was an incredible experience. Joe was professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our wedding day exactly what we envisioned. Communication was excellent throughout the entire planning process, and he made himself available for phone calls whenever we had questions or wanted to go over details. The music planning forms were easy to use and made organizing everything—from our ceremony music to the reception—simple and stress-free. Our venue had several different areas that all required separate sound setups, including the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception, and everything transitioned seamlessly. One of the biggest challenges was that our ceremony location didn't have electrical power, but Joe came fully prepared with a system that worked flawlessly. Every ceremony cue was timed perfectly, and hearing each song start exactly when it was supposed to made the ceremony feel even more special. Throughout the reception, Joe kept everything running smoothly. The sound quality was excellent, announcements were clear, and he did an outstanding job reading the crowd while also honoring the atmosphere and music we wanted. The dance floor stayed full all night, and we've had so many guests tell us how much fun they had. If you're looking for a professional, organized, and talented wedding DJ, I can't recommend Joe enough. He exceeded our expectations in every way and played a huge part in making our wedding unforgettable.

We can't recommend DJ Joe enough!
DJ Joe was absolutely amazing! While we were still shopping around for vendors, he was incredibly responsive, easy to communicate with, and full of great ideas. He never tried to upsell us on his most expensive package. Instead, he took the time to understand our vision and venue and recommended the option that truly fit what we wanted. On our wedding day, DJ Joe exceeded every expectation. So many of our guests commented on how great the music was! He did an incredible job reading the room, playing the right songs at the right time, and keeping everyone on the dance floor. He created such a fun atmosphere, and you could tell he genuinely cared about making sure everyone was having an amazing time. One of our favorite surprises was the lighting. He perfectly matched it to the aesthetic we were going for, and it elevated the entire reception. We were also so grateful for how willing he was to work with us on our first dance. We wanted to combine two songs with completely different tempos, and he did his best to make this happen the best way he knew how! It turned out even better than we imagined. Loved working with DJ Joe!
We had a great experience working with DJ Joe and cannot recommend his services enough! From the very beginning we got great vibes from Joe and did not feel embarrassed to tell him about some of our silly music choices. Joe kept the dance floor alive all night and was professional and quick when it came to answering any questions we had throughout the process. He was able to help my husband set up and sound check for a surprise live music performance he gave for the reception and was able to keep it a surprise for me as well. Joe also was very prepared for working with our videographers and offered to set up a tripod for my maid of honor who ended up not being able to make it so we could FaceTime her. Thanks so much for everything Joe!

we love Joe
Joe was a phenomenal vendor from start to finish; he was recommended to us via my bridal shop and we couldn't be more pleased with his help throughout the planning process and the day of our wedding. Joe handled the music and emcee portion of our wedding day but also handled lighting for the dance floor and cluster lights and drapery within our ceremony space. He spent so much time with us planning and preparing the space and we are so grateful for his professionalism, expertise, and time. I'd recommend Joe to anyone planning a wedding or other special event.

Fantastic audio service for a wedding
We had the absolute pleasure of working with Joe Clemmer of Professional DJ Services for our wedding at the Santa Barbara Courthouse on 10/15/2025, and he was phenomenal from start to finish. Joe was incredibly communicative, detail-oriented, and genuinely cared about making our ceremony perfect. Since the Courthouse doesn’t allow public power use, Joe set up an entirely off-grid sound system that worked flawlessly. The lapel microphones blended beautifully with my tuxedo and my wife’s elegant dress, you couldn’t even see them in photos and every guest, even those seated in the very back rows, heard every word clearly. Joe’s professionalism, expertise, and calm, confident energy made such a difference on our wedding day. We can’t recommend him enough as he’s truly the best in the business.

I have 22+ years Wedding DJ/MC experience! In 2003, after several years performing and gaining experience, I founded Professional DJ Services to create incredible wedding day entertainment. Wedding Receptions are my area of expertise, and I have performed at spectacular wedding venues throughout the United States. I founded Professional DJ Services in Montana in 2003, moved to Colorado in 2007, moved to Texas in 2013, moved to Alabama in 2015, moved back to Colorado in 2016, and moved to Santa Barbara County California in 2018.

I am a 22-year retired Veteran of the United States Space Force and the United States Air Force. During my military career, I was assigned to these wonderful places. In each location, I almost feel as though I have to re-build my company from scratch. However, I always built an outstanding and dependable reputation. Professional DJ Services continues to earn incredible client reviews, and has earned 17+ annual "Best of DJs" and "Couples Choice" awards! I'm happy to be serving the California Central Coast!

I always dress appropriately for your event. Since every event is unique, this is something I would discuss with you before your event. Typically, I wear a suit and tie for most wedding receptions, a shirt-tie/dress pants combination for corporate events, a collared shirt/khakis (business casual) for school dances, or something festive for Holiday parties, etc. I coordinate my wardrobe choices with the mood you would like to set for your event.

You can be as involved or non-involved as you would like in selecting the music for your event. I work closely with you to get an idea of your favorite music genres, and to get an idea of the mood you would like to set at your event. Some of my clients share Spotify or AppleMusic links with me, so I understand your favorite songs. I work with you to select some of the specific songs for your event, and use your input to help guide the musical direction of the event. I subscribe to DJ Record Pools with 15+ Millions songs, so I am always ready to play your requests from my extensive music collection.

Yes. I require a completed contract for all events. The contract details the date, time, location, and contact information for your event. Also, the contract makes your event legal, which extends $1 Million+ of Liability Insurance coverage.

When you are ready to book my services for your event, I ask that you pay a $200 non-refundable deposit to reserve my services for your date. I do not double-book events on the same day (just in case you need me to play longer or adjust my play times altogether). Of course, this is NOT an additional payment, but rather applied to the total performance fee due for your event. For instance, if your performance fee were $1900, your booking deposit would be $200, and the balance owed by the date of your event would be $1700.

Most of my clients pay their balance 2-4 weeks before their event date. However, I do not require final payment until the date of your event, payable prior to the starting time of your event.

Most Central Coast events have NO travel fees. Events outside of San Luis Obispo or Santa Barbara County may have travel fees or an overnight hotel fee (market rate for your event market), but we would discuss that before we ever sign a contract. Otherwise, I have NO additional fees and NO hidden fees. My flat-rate pricing already includes taxes, so when you book me... you will have absolutely NO surprises when it comes to the amount you pay.

Just because you are on a very tight budget does not mean you have to sacrifice high-quality professional sound! My full-service DJ/MC packages consistently earn the highest customer ratings and client reviews possible.
