It was a great pleasure to work with Jackie throughout our wedding planning process. Not being from the area, Jackie was invaluable in recommending and coordinating with great local vendors. She was so helpful coordinating each piece of our wedding weekend remotely - she struck a great balance as a calming presence throughout planning yet eager to go to bat for us when things needed to get done yesterday. On the wedding weekend, Jackie was so dedicated to make it a success for us. Beyond being a great presence and executing our schedule the entire weekend, she took on arranging and setup of the flowers and decorations, running setup and tear down of the venue as we danced, even volunteering to bake hundreds of pastries for our brunch the next morning. She truly went beyond our expectations of a coordinator and I'd happily recommend her to anyone getting married in the Shenandoah area.

She somehow made it feel as if we were the only couple she was working with and like we were a top top top priority for her! Plus, her design suggestions are impeccable! She has taste and an eye for all things beautiful! Hiring LAE was the number 1 best decision we made for our wedding! QUEER COUPLES THIS IS YOUR COORDINATOR!!! We are a queer couple and Mia was so incredibly supportive of us and our identities the entire time. She cared about and understood pronouns, family dynamics, and more without making it a big deal. She was 100% open to throwing tradition out the window when it didn’t suit us but also totally here for upholding it when it felt right. She LOVED our clothing choices and encouraged us to embrace our true selves instead of what the wedding industry told us we had to wear. We felt truly celebrated! On the big day, Mia and her team, Macie and Tiffany, were early and on the ball! The second they arrived I could feel my nerves disappear knowing they would be overseeing every little detail. They came ready with every form (and extra copies) imaginable, dressed professionally and in line with our color pallet, and miced up for quick and discreet communication. Our wedding party and guests were raving about how kind they all were and how well they executed everything that day. As a couple, my spouse and I felt at ease and were able to let go and have a blast on our wedding day because we knew all the little details were in the BEST hands. We heard from guests that the shuttle had messed up big time and literally went to the wrong hotel. Mia and her team fixed the issue SO FAST and kept it SO QUIET that we had no idea anything was wrong and we were able to enjoy our evening blissfully unaware that our guests almost didn’t make it to the ceremony! Then, after the wedding Mia had already reached out to the shuttle company to begin dialogue about what happened and to request a refund without us even having to ask her! I cannot possibly recommend Mia and LAE enough and we will forever look back on our beautiful wedding day with fond stress free memories thanks to LAE!

The week of the wedding I was in contact with Morgan who would be our official day of coordinator. Morgan ended up saving the day when our bartender cancelled on us last minute; she stepped in and bartended on top of coordinating. Then she was able to work with me to donate our flowers to a women’s shelter; a cause that hits close to home for me. I cannot recommend Avenue Design Studio enough!!

*Please prepare for a long novel of praise and gratitude for seriously one of the best and most IMPORTANT vendors in the wedding game** From start to finish working with Johanna and the JLM Events team was undoubtedly the best decision we made for our wedding. Full transparency - I was hesitant to book a coordinator due to budget being the MAIN factor for our wedding and frankly I didn’t think we could spare the expense. After finding out from our venue that it was a requirement to have a coordinator (turned absolute GODSEND) I found Johanna last June (2025) and from start to finish have been absolutely FLOORED by her dedication, insight, and complete understanding of our needs and wants for the most special day of our lives. Let me just tell you- Johanna will go ABOVE AND BEYOND for you and then some. I was so thankful to have her as an advocate during this process. As someone who considers herself very “Type A” I had no idea how much of a crucial necessity having someone like Johanna would be during this process. The vendor selection is overwhelming to say the least but getting into the nitty gritty of contracts, Plan B scenarios, and just overall comprehension of this business is not something that is talked about enough in this industry. With the guidance and wisdom of Johanna, I know for a fact our experience was as seamless as it was because of her knowledge and diligence. She checked in with me routinely leading up to our wedding year and then on a weekly/daily basis once our wedding year hit. Before booking the remainder of our vendors (which were a lot LOL), I would make sure to send her the contracts I received to make sure everything looked okay and with her guidance we were able to avoid some MAJOR possible disasters with some really important vendors (talking Catering & Glam…pretty important :) ). My whole point is this- you have no idea what you’re looking at or even the questions to ask, even if you think you do, you need someone like Johanna and her team as allies. We avoided these possible disasters because we had Johanna. And even better, once confirming that it wasn’t in our best interest to book said vendor(s), Johanna would be right there with other options for us that were highly recommended and most important- in our budget. I never once felt pressured or like that I wasn't heard at all with Johanna during this process. She received and heard every ounce of my wants and intentions for this day and for that, I am indebted to her. Our wedding day was such a sacred day and because of the team (led by Johanna ) we didn’t have to worry about ANYTHING. Our main focus was just being present with each other and savoring every second- that’s how it should be! BOOK JLM DESIGN AND EVENTS, trust me it’ll be the best thing you do :)

My daughter and I hired Chloe Deal to be our onsite day-of wedding planner and she was excellent before, during and after the big day! Pre-wedding, we had two zoom meetings to review what the plans were and what she would be doing to oversee it all. Chloe's communication assured us all the details would be completely taken care of on wedding day. The day of the wedding, we had a big surprise. An unexpected storm whipped up just as we were about to begin the outdoor ceremony. Chloe and her assistant quickly rallied to make last minute adjustments moving tables and displays under the reception tent, coordinating with the vendors on the change of plans and remained calm throughout it all. After a bit of insanity as our guests ran from the outdoor ceremony into the tent, Chloe and her assistant went into overdrive drying off chairs and getting them moved into the reception area which was a huge undertaking. The groomsmen were supposed to help but they were the only ones not under umbrellas and were absolutely soaked. Chloe easily helped guests find their seats and kept us all on schedule with the reception events of introductions, dances, happy hour, dinner, cake cutting, send off photos etc. Post wedding, we had to be all cleaned up by 9am the next day so the night of the wedding, Chloe and her assistant moved heavy tree log displays back to the woods, put everything that we needed to save into our cars or the locked space until we could pick it up the next day. Having Macy as the day of coordinator for our wedding was the best decision we made - our wedding day was 100% stress free! We had no idea about what needed to be considered when having a wedding, but Macy had all the questions ready and helped us think through every detail. Macy is so kind, thoughtful, organized, communicative, and took away all of our stress leading up to the wedding day by being so organized and prepared! She coordinated with the different vendors to ensure a timeline was created and distributed for when each would arrive. I didn’t have to worry about a thing except for confirming details for her. She made sure the wedding party and our parents were at the right spots at the right time throughout the evening and helped keep guests contained during cocktail hour so we could step away with the photographer for photos. She even assisted with clean up and helped pack dessert for us to take and enjoy later! Macy is by far irreplaceable in our eyes, we cannot recommend her enough! She will do everything it takes to make sure you have the best day and she was instrumental for ours. Thank you so much, Macy!!

We hired Michelle Knutson for our November 2025 Palm Springs wedding and truly could not be happier with our experience. We had a fairly small event, so we went with the day-of-coordinator package. Michelle truly went above and beyond just the day-of coordinating. She coordinated a couple intros zooms, got in touch with our venue and all of our vendors beforehand and brought us solutions when we realized we were going to be rained on. The day of she was a straight shooter - direct and ran a tight ship. But she was also warm, friendly and upbeat. Her assistant even took care of my dog for me and made sure he was fed and walked! We are forever grateful to her and her team for making our day so special. 10/10 recommend!
