Johanna loves the process of helping couples realize their vision & helping them turn that vision into reality, which is why she takes a unqiue collaborative approach to the wedding planning process to ensure her couples vision comes to life in the most flawless, stressfree & fun environment possible! Having worked in the wedding industry for over 10 years, Johanna has a unique prospective on wedding planning, having worked as the senior planner for a local venue, she knows all the ins & outs of the planning process from start to finish!

Johanna & her team are the absolute best!!
Hiring Johanna was hands down one of the best decisions we made for our wedding!! From the very beginning, she made the entire planning process feel so easy and so much less overwhelming. She is incredibly knowledgeable, had all the best tips and tricks, and helped us find the perfect vendors for our day - especially with all her experience with weddings at The Market at Grelen. She always made sure we were asking the right questions and felt confident in every decision we made. As a Type A bride, every meeting with Johanna left me feeling like we had everything completely under control. Her communication was amazing, she was always there for us no matter what, and she truly cared about us and our wedding every step of the way. On our wedding day, Johanna and her team made everything feel absolutely effortless and seamless! I was able to spend the entire day feeling calm, happy, and fully present because I knew she had everything covered. Being able to just soak in every moment with my husband, family, and friends without worrying about a single thing was such a gift! We truly cannot recommend Johanna enough. If you’re even considering hiring her, DO IT. She is the perfect combination of incredibly knowledgeable, unbelievably organized, and someone who genuinely loves her couples and what she does. We are forever grateful for her and her team for giving us the absolute best day ever!!

Thank God for Johanna Milby
Johanna Milby (of JLM Design and Events) is the best of the best. Johanna had recommendations, tips, tricks, and insider knowledge, and expertise that helped make the entire wedding planning experience SO much easier. If I couldn't remember a detail or pull up a signed contract, Johanna could locate it within moments. Because of her incredible presence, attention to detail, and organization, it often felt like our wedding was the only one Johanna was working on at a time! Day of, Johanna arrived with two assistants and that team made sure everyone was where they needed to be all day. I could totally let go, be present, and trust that Johanna and her team had everything in hand! I cannot recommend Johanna enough for anyone who wants to work with a kind, warm, organized, knowledgable professional throughout the wedding planning process. Wedding planning can feel overwhelming, but Johanna helped make it all manageable!

We LOVE Johanna and the JLM Team
Hiring Johanna (and the whole JLM team) for our wedding was the second best choice I've ever made - only to be beat out by the decision to marry my husband! Johanna and her team were absolute rockstars from over a year out until the very last moment. If you are thinking of hiring her, just do it. It was the biggest help to have someone to guide us and tell us all of the things we needed to do and when we needed to do them. She was extremely thorough and made our wedding day seamless. So seamless, in fact, that we barely saw her on the actual day because she was so busy making everything come together. This was a huge help to us as she made sure we just floated through our special day. Johanna was present and ready to give helpful tips or feedback to every question we had. Not only was she all this, but she is extremely kind and understanding. She is so sweet and charismatic that I am so glad we got to go through this process together. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!

HUGE FAN!!!
Hi! HUGE FAN HERE, I genuinely do not know how our wedding would have gone without JLM. The entire planning process was completely seamless & catered to our personality so well. For a day as big as the wedding day I could not recommend JLM more, it was the most perfect day with the best vendor team. The vendor recs we're huge for us & absolutely helped with the major decisions that feel like the end of the world. JLM has some amazingly talented employees & seeing them do their magic on the big day was the coolest part. Even when you forget the rings-- the ceremony still starts on time ;). Rain? No problem they've already figured it out for you. All said and done I trust this team with MY LIFE & you should too!

Best planning team ever!
Booking Joanna was hands-down one of the best decisions we made. She’s not just a wedding planner - she’s a negotiator, cheerleader, visionary, and truly, a friend. From our very first consultation, we could tell she genuinely cared about our vision. She was incredibly knowledgeable about our venue, super responsive (we were texting back and forth up till the wedding and she was never out of reach), and consistently provided the reassurance you need throughout the planning process. Whatever we wanted, Joanna made it happen! I mentioned I wanted a harpist for our ceremony, and she immediately said “got it,” and we booked the most incredible harpist. She also recommended key vendors like transportation and catering, all of whom had worked with her before. The entire team operated like a well-oiled machine, which made everything feel seamless and stress-free. On the wedding day, Joanna and her team executed everything flawlessly. One moment I’ll never forget: right before the ceremony, when I started to feel nervous, her assistant walked me to the aisle, talking me through it and making me feel completely at ease. It meant everything. Our wedding was absolutely perfect! The best day of our lives, and we have Joanna to thank for that. If you’re considering booking her, don’t hesitate!! She will make your dream wedding a reality!!!
