The Wedding Planner of Our Dreams

We first met Elizabeth 6 month’s prior to our wedding and knew instantly she was the best person to bring our wedding day to life. She brings such an enthusiastic positive energy with every call, text, in person meet, etc. She makes you feel like she’s your personal hype person for the time leading up to wedding date. She also very clearly loves what she does, which is for good reason, she’s brilliant, inventive and second to none with her abilities. The lead up to the wedding involved so much coordination with different vendors, wrangling guests like cats and all the other fun stressors that come with weddings. She guided us through every bit of turbulent weather including the arduous task of recommending DJs, photographers and florists. For 6 months, she was effectively our mental health coach to keep us on task, on schedule and feel secure that our day will be treated with the utmost care as if we’re the only thing that mattered in the world. We always felt that we were the central focus of her attention during our time together. It brought us a calm leading up to the day that was absolutely priceless. It’s not hyperbole to say, the day literally doesn’t happen without her and her efforts. We’re eternally grateful for everything she has done for us. She’s honestly such a genuine person, that it feels like you’ve known her half your life. Anybody in the search for a Wedding Coordinator or Planner, need look no further. In addition to her amazing work ethic and dedication to you in prep for the wedding and day of the event, you will have gained a dear friend.

    Thank you Elizabeth

I am a type-a personality, so I'm no stranger to detailed planning, but I knew it would benefit us to hire a wedding planner. That said, we didn't know HOW much it would benefit us until we did! If you are thinking of working with Elizabeth, I highly encourage you to have a conversation with her and (better yet) HIRE HER! We worked with Elizabeth Langley from About Thyme Events over 2025 for our February 2026 wedding. We could not have asked for a more wonderful person to help with the planning and execution of our wedding. From the very beginning, Elizabeth was enthusiastic and warm but was also focused and realistic. She kept us grounded in our planning, with periodic check-ins to keep us on track. She was available for pop up questions via phone/email as we mused our options, always encouraging and thorough in her answers, yet mindful of our big picture budgetary constraints with vendors and the challenges of organizing a wedding with several international guests. She helped us focus on the pieces of the day that mattered to us and helped us see elements we could eliminate to enhance our guests' experience of the day. Elizabeth kept our planning on track and always offered excellent, practical advice ranging from design suggestions to trusted local vendors (and some we had not considered in the Richmond & Gordonsville areas - we're based in Charlottesville). At our final walk through at the venue, we got a full sense of how Elizabeth worked confidently with vendor partners - her communication was clear, the plan was solid, and the mutual trust was evident. In the weeks leading up to the wedding, our lives absolutely went into overdrive - a perfect storm of unforeseen high-stakes work deadlines divided our attention away from the planning. Elizabeth had taken over vendor communication by this point, and it was a huge weight off of our shoulders knowing she was focused on our big day and the little (and big!) things that needed tending. But we largely don't know what those pieces were, because she was handling them! With Elizabeth taking over our wedding-day logistics, we were able to focus on having the best night of our lives with friends and family. On the day, she met our needs so well - giving us (bride & groom) breaks when we didn't know we needed them, helping orchestrate vendors and guests through the timeline, and moving decor in our multi-level venue. But through it all, Elizabeth was not just a vendor helping us out. She was a friend who celebrated with us, and having her at our wedding was an incredible privilege. If you work with Elizabeth for your wedding, you will have someone who is highly competent, energetic, and organized. But you will also have someone who will share the joy of your wedding with you and will elevate the day as only a friend can. -Elly & Achintya
