Terrific for Weddings!
Society 11:11 and Manpreet were so easy to work with, and made sure I was comfortable and beautiful on my wedding day! I have curly hair, and was very concerned about finding a stylist who was confident working with texture. From my first meeting with the Society 11:11 team, I was at ease. Manpreet worked with me during my trial to make sure I had exactly the look that I wanted, and that I felt comfortable giving feedback about any changes I wanted to make. On my wedding day, she worked with me, as well as my sister, mom, and mother-in-law. She made us all feel great, while still looking like ourselves. I loved her ability to elevate our features in both makeup and hair styling, especially as a group of people who do not wear a lot of makeup day-to-day. I want to start with saying I was happy with my makeup on wedding day and the others in my group were generally happy - just not in entirely impressed for how much they cost. My hair and makeup artist did do a great job day-of, and it is clear she cared that I was satisfied at the end. She was open to using my own makeup to get the colors right. It is also not easy for the team to get 17 services done in a matter of 5 hours, and it is important to recognize this. My main issue is the communication style. While I understand they are very busy, I would highly encourage their team to hire someone in charge of answering day-to-day emails and handling professional communication, who is also trained in customer service. While I do understand that I asked for changes through the process and asked several follow up questions, their team made me feel like I was a burden. If you send an email, you will get an auto-response every time saying they are pampering another bride. It takes days and sometimes weeks to receive a response, and to a certain degree, this is understandable. The issue is, when I did receive a response, I was met with language in emails that started with “I need to be transparent with you”, “I want to set expectations with you”, “your request is not time sensitive”. This communication style feels patronizing, and it set a stressful mood for the process, especially on wedding day. Again, there is complete understanding that their team is busy. As the paying customer, I would hope that they give grace and understanding in the future to a bride that also has a lot to manage and handle, and be more open to solving questions kindly without making them feel bad for asking in the first place.

I had the absolute best experience with Society 11:11. Bri did my bridal makeup and made me look like an elevated version of myself. She asked so many questions and listened so closely to what I was envisioning. Brittany did my hair and was so calming and talented. She helped create a vision better than what I could have hoped for! Leilani did my bridesmaids' hair, and they looked UNBELIEVABLE. Society 11:11 was so organized and timely.
