With his years of experience I trusted any ideas he had. In my opinion, his photos speak for themselves. I love the natural look of his pictures without being over edited. David was exactly what we were hoping for in a photographer and I couldn’t have asked for someone better to capture our perfect day. From our first phone call to getting our photos, David has been there for us and going above and beyond to help us and make sure our planning was going okay and just life in general. We were looking for a creative photographer to put their own spin on our photos and get some unique poses and shots and David checked that box over and over again. David uses modern technology to ensure he captures the best of your moments and enhances the environment around you for just an even better product. Above all, we felt like we made a friend due to David’s positive attitude, the laughs we shared, and eagerness to capture YOUR moment. He is obviously a master of his craft and I recommend him to anyone that is looking for creativity in their photos, while also still capturing classy and classic poses. David is an incredible photographer that I simply can’t recommend enough.

STOP PERFORMING & STOP PRICE SHOPPING: Your wedding is not a generic fantasy you saw online, it's a legacy. Here is the truth: The wedding industry often forces too much "performance" on the couple. This risks the loss of your genuine, unscripted story. That is why the greatest risk you face is looking back and realizing the emotional moments of your people were missed—an irreversible mistake.

Awarded Best of Zola
Here’s the thing: my husband (!) and I are awkward, full stop. Once a camera is involved, we both get full blown weirdo paralysis. Photos were the part of the wedding we were dreading most. Yet Cass showed up and somehow made us feel completely at ease. The time flew by, the love and joy flowed freely and, from what we’ve seen so far, the images reflect it. Cannot recommend Cass enough.

Welcome! And Congratulations! I am a Wedding & Family Photographer based in Plattsburgh, NY. I grew up in Charlotte, VT where I fell in love with Lake Champlain and all the beauty that Vermont has to offer. I now live in Rouses Point, NY and continue to be drawn by Lake Champlain and its charm. When I am not behind the camera capturing the authenticity of my clients moments I am spending quality time with my husband, his two beautiful children and our two dogs. We spend our summers on Lake Champlain and our winters inside the hockey rink. My love of photography started the moment I held my first camera. I hope to share that passion with you!

Awarded Best of Zola
Our outdoor photos were beautiful. Kyla set clear thoughtful expectations during our consult. This lead to a tailored photo shoot with all the elements we hoped for and more! We were so happy with our pictures, we were able to print our photo-invitations and send them out with a week if the shoot. Supurb!

Christopher Duggan Photography

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $5,950
  • Serves Lorraine, NY

In the 20 years that I've been photographing professionally, I’ve honed my skill of knowing when to step in and make things happen, and when to step back and simply *allow* things to happen. Documenting the REAL emotion of the day is how we capture those picture-perfect moments. They happen organically, not by force, and I promise you: we're not going to miss ANY of them. = )

Awarded Best of Zola
We chose Christopher to photograph and videograph our sangeet celebration rather last minute as we were busy planning everything else, so it was quite a relief and so helpful to see how swiftly he communicated with us and delivered on such wonderful memories. Christopher was amazing to work with - as we had wanted, the posed photos were quick (yet came out incredible). We asked him to focus on the celebration and dancing and we couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We highly recommend Christopher -- thank you for making our evening so special!!

I present fun, elegant, and exciting Wedding Photography for my clients. My style is photojournalistic; I feel it's the most effective way to tell a story. We were so fortunate to have Rob photograph our engagement session as well as our wedding and we are already sad we don't have an event to look forward to with him! Rob is so talented, genuine, comforting, and an overall amazing human. He brought so much peace, comfort, and laughter to my wedding day. My bridesmaids still are talking about his amazing work and fun personality! I would hire him again in a second. On our wedding day, he brought the amazing Dyan, who truly was our rock all day! She wore so many hats, but also did it with such ease and grace. I couldn't believe it. She guided and helped me in quite literally every way that day. I feel so grateful to have gotten to be with her and I can't recommend her enough either. Dyan is a superstar. My name is Ali Cushing, a NY-based/working anywhere, visual storyteller who captures the authentic experience with intention. It's feeling, and it's found in the whirlwind and the still moments, in heightened emotion and calm, and above all, celebrating what makes you and your partner exactly who you are with the people you choose to surround yourself with. In my work composition serves to frame the feeling, with permission to be raw, outrageous, reserved, and unabashedly yourself. I make photos about the day and not the day about the photos. All couples of all genders, ethnicities, ages, faiths, shapes and abilities, are more than welcome.

Awarded Best of Zola
I am SO HAPPY that we hired Ali for our wedding! She was so kind and easygoing while also totally in command and on top of every request we had photography wise. Her years of wedding coordination and event experience were truly evident throughout every step of the day. Not only was she totally on top of keeping us on our timeline and capturing all of the special moments, but she even went into super hero mode and on the spot sewed one of my bridesmaids dresses in the bathroom right before the ceremony without showing an ounce of stress. We already received our preview photos and are truly blown away by how she captured our love & our special day. Her attention to detail, calming presence, and creative approach are truly invaluable and we will be recommending her to everyone we know for years to come!

Jessica Yurko Photography

You know that all encompassing feeling when you’re revisiting a vivid memory? You can smell the fresh air, feel the way the sun hits your face just so, hear the voice of the loved one next to you, remember the joke that they delivered and instantly you’re laughing all over again. That magic is what I hope to capture as your photographer. It’s my job to hold those moments in time so that they don’t have to fade. You’ll forever be able to revisit the moment, see the exact way they smiled, revisit that incredible sunset, relive the memory and turn back time.

Awarded Best of Zola
We honestly feel like we didn’t just find a photographer, but a friend in Jessica! From the very first meeting, she made my fiancée and I feel so comfortable and at ease. Throughout the entire wedding day, she was not only professional, but her warmth and sense of humor really brought everything to life. What really stood out to us was how game she was for every idea we threw her way. We had a blast doing wedding portraits in an arcade, and when we decided to climb into a giant claw machine for a shot, Jessica was all in — no hesitation, just excitement. She was genuinely invested in making our day unforgettable, and it felt like we were having fun with a friend rather than just a photographer. The photos turned out absolutely stunning — capturing both the big emotional moments and all the quirky, fun ones we’ll cherish forever. Our friends and family couldn’t stop raving about how amazing she was! If you're looking for someone who will not only take gorgeous photos but also feel like a part of your celebration, Jessica is the one! We couldn’t be more thankful for everything she did to make our wedding day even more special.

Daniela Monzi Photo

5.0

  • Photojournalistic style
  • Starts at $8,700
  • Serves Lorraine, NY

Daniela Monzi is a wedding and elopement photographer based in Philadelphia and San Francisco, available worldwide. Blending film and digital formats, she captures each celebration with intention and heart. Deeply passionate about couples celebrating their love their way, Daniela advocates for wedding days that feel true to who you are—filled with what brings you joy, and free of anything that doesn’t. She honed her craft at the San Francisco Art Institute, where she developed a distinctive style that merges fine-art composition with a candid, documentary approach. The result? Honest, artful imagery that tells your story exactly as it felt.

Awarded Best of Zola
My partner and I eloped last weekend at SF City Hall and just opened our sneak peek of Dani's coverage of the day... The photos are beautiful and so authentic to us as a couple. She did an incredible job and we are so happy that we were able to work with her. Throughout the process, Dani was very communicative and available to answer all of our questions. She also took the time to get to know each of us individually, our story as a couple, and our goals/hopes for the day which I think really contributed to her nailing the vibe we were going for. She helped us brainstorm how to get the most out of our 3-hour shoot time and we were able to get in an impressive amount of shots in two different locations without feeling rushed or stressed. Throughout the shoot, she did a great job balancing directing us with letting us just exist together, which resulted in really natural looking photos of us that don't have an overly-posed look. But she definitely got both of our good sides lol. She also handled a high-traffic wedding day at SF City Hall with grace-- there were lots of couples getting married at the same time and it took some coordinating to get the best shots, but she made it happen! Dani is warm, respectful and kind and brought exactly the kind of energy we needed to our wedding day! It goes without saying, but I would recommend her to anyone who is looking to commemorate their special day.

I (Bride) had the pleasure of meeting and working with Eddie several years ago. So, when my Husband and I got Engaged, we called Eddie right away hoping he would be available for 1 of our 2 desired dates. Luckily, he was and there is no doubt he was a key component in making our Wedding the magnificent day it was. From the gorgeous Engagement photos, communication in-between and through the Wedding Day, Eddie was knowledgeable, creative and made our photography experience smooth and easy. Eddie considered all our requests and inquiries on types of photo documentation and was always available within 24 hours either by phone, text or email. Not bothered by any challenge, Eddie was always personable, wearing a Smile. Recognition also goes to Eddie’s colleague, Angelo whose talent and added support in covering our Wedding as our 2nd photographer ensured we got beautiful shots of the whole day. We now have a vast amount of photos to create a wonderful Wedding album to enjoy!

Thalia is an absolutely lovely person and a PHENOMENAL photographer. We could not love our wedding (and engagement) photos more! My husband and I could tell from our first introductory meeting that Thalia's energy, enthusiasm, and professionalism were precisely what we were looking for, but boy oh boy, did her pictures exceed these expectations. Hi, I’m Richard, a wedding photographer based in the Hudson Valley. My passion is finding the beauty in the simplest moments and capturing them in a way that feels raw, real, and full of life. As a candid, photojournalist photographer, I’m all about ditching stiff poses to focus on the relationships, the laughs, and the genuine emotions that tell your distinct story. I aim to capture the little details and authentic moments that make your day uniquely yours.

Awarded Best of Zola
Richard Krutick is special. A special talent as well as a special man. He captured it! The day after our wedding he sent me a teaser gallery of what was to come. I was blown away. When planning my wedding the photographer was the most critical to me -I was picky. When I saw his work he turned my entire way of looking at my wedding around. Richard and I had over an hour-long conversation and we clicked. I, having a creative director background and working with photographers all my career, was thrilled because we spoke the same language. I wanted honest, documentary-style moments captured without noticing the presence of the photographer. He was there when you needed him and you liked him. My guests were saying what a warm and great guy he is. He got their personalities, each and every one of them. He looks at everything with a special eye. Right at the time of my outdoor wedding with the most beautiful view and lush floral arbor, it poured and didn't stop. Gravel walkways turning into mud, no bride or groom wants to see. He just grabbed the moments and ran with them. Pivoting, he captured the most creative and editorial images I could ever dream of. He took the storm and made it beautiful. I hope I will have another event, moment, fun-filled party, or cherished time that he can again capture so we can work with him again.

Hullo! So you're gettin' hitched (YaaY!), but you’re not super into the idea of the overly-manicured wedding. A+ for you, because this is not your parents’ wedding photography. I'm a farm kid who floats between the journalism and art worlds. I love telling stories as much as I love listening to the stories of others. I’m the type of person who makes up musicals for my own amusement and nurses a soft spot for sci-fi and fantasy. If I’m not taking photos, I’m usually dancing. Or cooking. It’s possible I may have a baking addiction and try to mitigate the damage by forcing the goods on loved ones.

Celia was incredible to work with. My (now) husband and I are usually pretty awkward in front of a camera so it was really important for us to find a photographer we felt comfortable with. I knew Celia would be that person as soon as we first connected! She's such a warm personality and a very calming presence to have around on a day that can be quite stressful. She did a phenomenal job capturing all of the candid moments of the day and then gave us some direction when she saw a cool opportunity for a shot, which is exactly what we were looking for. The photos she took are stunning and turned out better than we could have ever imagined. We both still cry when we look at them. Highly Highly recommend working with The Lovely Lens for your wedding!!

Hi friend! I'm Becca. Ever since I was little, I wanted to listen to others stories and share them with others. As a result of a college photography class that I loved and my dad's love of nature photography, I was gifted a camera after graduation, and I never stopped! I started taking photos at a performing arts center and became mesmerized with capturing joy. I have been in the wedding industry since I was fourteen and have been taking photos professionally since 2019.

Awarded Best of Zola
I cannot GUSH enough about Becca. She was hands down the MVP of our wedding day. In the midst of wedding planning busyness, Becca led a thorough meeting with us (the couple) going over the day-of schedule, and covering an exhaustive comprehensive list of all possible photos, helping us prioritize the ones we needed and letting go of those that may have ended up stressing us out to try to take! She made sure to be sensitive to all our hopes for photos, family dynamics, and more. I (the bride) was sick on the wedding day and had to make some adjustments to the day-of schedule, and Becca not only adjusted with such grace and flexibility, but also offered great game-time ideas to make sure we got all the photos we wanted with even less time! During the wedding, Becca stayed even longer than scheduled, was so patient but commanding with getting family photos organized, and stayed in the background throughout the day even though she was right by my (the bride!) side getting the best candid photos. That way, I was able to feel supported AND even more relaxed, she was so nimble, positive, and masterful. As I’ve said since the beginning of working with her, she is simply the BEST.

Throughout the day, she became my go-to person for almost everything, not just photography. Whether it was helping with timing, keeping us on track, or simply offering a reassuring word, Danielle was always there! She captured every special moment with such care and creativity. The photos are absolutely stunning — timeless, emotional, and full of life. But beyond the incredible images, it was her professionalism, kindness, and calming energy that made the biggest impact. One of my favorite moments of the day was a surprise I had planned for my soon-to-be husband. We play the game “punch buggie,” so I arranged to have a vintage VW Beetle as the ultimate punch buggie surprise on our wedding day. Danielle went out of her way to help make it happen — she reached out to the owner of the car, coordinated the timing and location, and helped execute the surprise flawlessly. It was such a fun and meaningful moment, and it all went off without a hitch thanks to her! I would absolutely recommend Danielle to anyone in a heartbeat!! If we could do it all over again, we’d book her again without hesitation. She is truly a gem and made our day that much more special!

A good friend of mine has said that my brand is to care. She isn’t wrong-my brand is one of caring because my being is one of caring. I’ve been a wedding photog for 14+ yrs. I find that being a wedding photog is a gift - I barely have the words to describe how special it feels to be invited into clients’ most momentous & intimate wedding moments over & over again. I’m a champion for the weird & whimsical, the fun & funky - even & especially on wedding days. Plan your day the way you want to, trends be damned. Let your wedding day reflect your joy. That’s what we’re all there to celebrate, anyway. ✨

We love Erica so much! Her style of photography is exactly what we were looking for, and all of the photos came out so beautiful and vivid. She's incredibly kind and organized, but at no point did we feel pressed for time. She never gave us the impression that we were running behind schedule, she is just so relaxed and friendly. It's been a month since the wedding, and I still have guests calling me to compliment her and her photos. People said she blended into the background seamlessly - never noticed but, based on the pictures, all around. We can't recommend her enough!

After graduating from Parson's School of Art in Manhattan, I worked as a fine artist, my work involved photography and photo manipulation. I quickly discovered that I loved and excelled at photo retouching, and went on to work for some of the best photo retouching studios in New York. In 2009 I shot my first wedding, it was a dear friend of mine and the beautiful photos were featured in one of the biggest wedding magazines. I realized that I had found my calling and have been producing stunning wedding photographs with my amazing team and clients ever since.

From the moment we first spoke with Emma Cleary Photo and Video, we knew we were in good hands. Their communication style was clear, prompt, detail-oriented, and educational, putting us at ease throughout the entire planning process. The quality of their work was truly exceptional - the photos they captured were comfortable, beautiful, magical, ethereal, and so clean. They asked all the right questions, from inquiring about golden hour and sunset shots to handling a multitude of family and necessary photos on the day. Most importantly, Emma, the owner, was incredible. I couldn't have planned and executed my wedding without her services and immediate attention to detail, the timeline, the photos needed, her suggestions and discussions, and the seamless edits and delivery of the final products. I highly recommend trusting this business with your event or special day - they were everything I didn't know I needed, and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
