It felt like he captured our day in 3-D! Not only was he able to beautifully capture candid moments, the poses that he would recommend to us and our families looked so natural and lovely! The different photography techniques he employed to get stunning portraits looked like something out of a magazine despite the quick pace of the day. We were amazed by the result! “Wow… I don’t even know where to start, but the stars literally aligned with Dani (and Jed) from Elle & Co Photography. I found Dani while scrolling bridal Facebook groups, which can be… a lot. Trying not to assume the worst from all the horror stories. I came across her and immediately knew she was it. I sent the message and crossed my fingers. Her photos were exactly the vibe we were going for. We chose to elope near Sleeping Bear Dunes for a reason… the color of the water, the fall tones, all of it. And Mother Nature gave us the most imperfectly perfect day. Wind, sand, rain… you name it. THANKFULLY we had Dani to capture it all. The amount of time, energy, and care she put into our day (and our reception back in Indy... we booked her for both) was beyond anything we expected. Her communication was top notch. She scouted, scouted, and then scouted again. Plans, backup plans, backup backup plans… which we absolutely needed. Most importantly she kept us on. time! We literally showed up to our ceremony spot and got hit with a “nope, not today” thanks to a government shutdown… even though we had permits and confirmations. But Dani already had her little hidden gem location ready to go, and it ended up being incredible. Like… better than what we had originally planned. And let’s talk about the conditions… late October on Lake Michigan, 25 mph winds, sand flying everywhere, and easily 10,000 steps trekking through dunes to chase the best views. Dani was everywhere at once making sure we got every shot. And Jed… running through sand like he trained for this moment. The two of them together are the dream team. Whatever it takes, they make it happen. They didn’t miss a single moment. From travel time to the ceremony, to the little in-between shots… even getting the perfect fall leaves shot with the Sleeping Bear Dunes sign (yes, it took a plenty of tries and yes, it was worth it). Champagne, lanterns, sparklers back at the domes… they captured all of it. And gave us just enough direction so we looked our best without ever feeling staged. And even after all of that, Dani went back and edited like crazy to balance out the fact that while we "looked fine"… we were most definitely freezing. The final photos are unreal. Our day was made by friends, family, and chosen family… and we’re so happy to add Dani and Jed to that circle. #PhotosToFriends for life!”

“I seriously can’t put into words how amazing she was and cannot recommend her enough. She was great to have around on our wedding day and I am so happy with our photos. The groomsmen didn't have their act together, even though she provides a detailed schedule, and she was totally chill about it and was like no biggie I'll be back in 30. My fiancé commented on how awesome she was (didn't comment on any other vendors) and one of his groomsmen did too (see first pic). This was before we even saw the pics and they turned out better than I could have imagined. At one point I told her I was done taking pics I wanted to go talked to people and dance, so was a little worried if we got enough shots, but was blown away with the results. I also told her I didn't care that much about getting ready pics but wanted a lot of guest candids and she delivered. She also got way more getting ready pics than I even expected. We didn't want to spend money on a second photographer and she was fine with that and got all the pics we wanted on her own. She truly listened to what we wanted and was incredible at communication and organization. On top of that, she is one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met, and truly a calming presence during all of the chaos on wedding day. I feel sooo lucky we found her.”

“Jenni is an absolute gem of a human and a phenomenal photographer. She is so sweet and such a lovely personality. We first worked with Jenni to take our engagement photos, and my husband and I immediately felt comfortable and familiar with her. We are not comfortable in front of the camera at all, but Jenni somehow made us feel like we'd been taking photos together with her for years. After our engagement shoot, I knew Jenni needed to be our wedding photographer. We more or less picked our wedding date based on her availability! “John and Sha’Pella were truly wonderful to work with, and took such gorgeous photos! From our engagement shoot to our wedding, they were responsive and helped us feel at ease. We’re both definitely not people who are typically comfortable in front of the camera, but Sha’Pella always made us laugh and told jokes to make us feel comfortable. On our wedding day, our transportation was unfortunately very late, so we had to rush our photos a bit for the first look and after the ceremony. Sha’Pella kept us both calm, and shared a story from her and John’s wedding that was also stressful, but memorable. They really made the effort to ensure our first look wouldn’t be deterred by our annoyance with the transportation issue, and it worked. I’m so grateful that we chose them for our wedding day, and would recommend them again and again.”
