Kyle and I hit it off immediately sharing a love of Electronic, Pop Punk, and HipHop; and Dave (who DJ'd the day of) was so in tune with my husband's love of Jam Bands, Bluegrass, and Jamtronica! They respected our wishes to check in with us about outlier song requests lol and added the flare our dream playlist needed. The photobooth was loved by all of our guests. “If you're getting married and have been within thirty feet of me recently, you'll have heard me recommend Lindsey already. From our very first conversation, she was responsive, transparent, and incredibly helpful. She made it easy to understand her packages and pricing without making us jump through hoops, and her communication throughout the planning process was excellent. The planning call, timeline guidance, and shot list resources were invaluable, especially since my husband and I have large families to wrangle for photos. Our photo package also included a mini session that we used for our engagement photos, which gave us a chance to get comfortable with Lindsey before the wedding day and helped us feel much more relaxed in front of the camera. On our wedding day, Lindsey and her second photographer were organized, professional, and wonderfully calming. Somehow, Lindsey managed to give such clear direction that even someone who normally feels awkward in front of a camera felt comfortable and confident. She kept us on schedule while wrangling a large group of family and friends, captured beautiful candid moments we never would have seen ourselves, and perfectly balanced documentary-style photography with more editorial portraits. Some of my favorite photos are a candid shot of my nephew dancing with his grandparents, a hilarious picture of my mom and bridesmaid dancing to Love Shack, and a gorgeous detail photo of my shoes nestled in the flowers. We received a generous collection of sneak peeks within a week of the wedding, and the gallery system has been easy to use and share. “Our wedding at Seven Ponds Farm was absolutely spectacular! The farm in the summer was beautiful and lush and made for a perfect backdrop for our wedding weekend. Staying onsite was such a treat and made the weekend extra special. The farmhouse and Virginia queen were so comfortable made us feel like we were right at home while being right in the middle of all the action. The venue itself was the perfect blend of rustic charm and elegance, with a scenic ceremony spot and a cozy reception barn. We loved being able to add our own DIY aspects to make it personalized to us as a couple. The staff was so lovely and helped us complete our vision seamlessly. Our family and friends are still raving about the venues, the amazing food (mushroom risotto!), the personalization and just how perfect everything was. “It’s hard to even put into words how much Normanside and its staff mean to us. I will rave about Normanside for the rest of my life, and I’m so grateful we chose them for our wedding. Starting from the very beginning, the person we owe the most credit to is Jaimie. She made the planning process seamless and helped all the stress fade away. She was available at any hour of the day (seriously, I’m not kidding!). I was always amazed by how quickly she responded, and then I realized that’s just who she is. From our tastings down to the very last moments of our wedding day, Jaimie executed every detail we asked for…and then some. She has an incredible eye for detail and helped make our reception absolutely gorgeous. If I could make a pocket-sized version of Jaimie and carry her around with me for the rest of my life, I would. The rest of the staff were just as amazing. Our families and guests had such a blast with our bartender, Rick, and seeing two of the younger staff members jump out on the dance floor later in the evening was such a fun surprise! Normanside never made us feel like a burden- everyone was enthusiastic, kind, and eager to help in any way they could. Our guys had so much fun golfing on Friday, and on the wedding day itself, we never had a single worry because we knew Jaimie and the staff had everything handled. The food, the venue, the service- everything was exceptional. To them, it may have been just another weekend, but they made us feel like our wedding was just as important to them as it was to us. In the midst of wedding planning busyness, Becca led a thorough meeting with us (the couple) going over the day-of schedule, and covering an exhaustive comprehensive list of all possible photos, helping us prioritize the ones we needed and letting go of those that may have ended up stressing us out to try to take! She made sure to be sensitive to all our hopes for photos, family dynamics, and more. “We can’t say enough about Helen and the team at Brookledge! It was the most beautiful day surrounded by our loved ones. All of our worries faded away, as we knew we could confidently count on everyone at Brookledge to fill in all of the gaps of a typical wedding day so we wouldn’t have to. Helen was incredible at thinking of all of the major and minor details on our special day— we didn’t even have to lift a finger! On top of the incredible attention to detail of the team, the venue itself is so serene and peaceful. It’s almost impossible to feel stressed— even though it’s one of the biggest days of one’s life! “We had our wedding at The Rosemary At Spano Lake on October 4th and it was everything we could have asked for and more! The owners, Jackie and Danny, were amazing to work with and helped make our wedding visions come true by going above and beyond our expectations. The bridal suite was beautiful and had amazing lighting for hair and makeup! The tent was able to accommodate our guests of about 125, it had beautiful lights, tables, bar service, and so much more! Outside of the tent there was yard games and a fire pit! We had our ceremony on the lake facing out to the water by the rock and it looked just like a scene out of a movie! The pictures show just a small portion of how beautiful and amazing the venue was!”
