“I cannot say enough good things about our experience here. From Min and Morten, to all the advisors that helped us, to all the staff who worked the venue for set up, the cooks, the servers, the bartenders, and not to mention how insanely good the food was - every single aspect of this place and the people there were truly magnificent. I was excited to marry the love of my life, sure, but after 16 years together I really viewed this as just a big party to celebrate with all the people in our lives. I expected and welcomed that view. To say it exceeded expectations is overwhelmingly unfair - it completely blew my mind how amazing the whole day was, honestly the whole weekend since there was also the rehearsal and breakfast the morning after, and I cannot express how grateful I am for how the whole experience turned out. I know I had loved the venue itself when we first visited, and that I thought the food was absolutely amazing during the food tasting, but it ended up being even more gorgeous on the day and the food for 150 people was still all so delicious that not one guest didn't mention at least one of the apps/ entree throughout the night and following day. One of my brides people who is quite the foodie snob keeps mentioning how juicy the chicken was. Seriously though, the food was just phenomenal. I never like cakes at weddings (they're always beautiful but don't taste good) and had planned on getting cake pops for my wedding, but at the food tasting I was just shocked at how amazing it was that I had to have that cake for the day. I would recommend this venue, and this staff, so whole heartedly. If any of the staff read this review, thank you all for making our special day one that will forever be a heartwarming memory.”

“We had our wedding reception at Pine Ridge Farms and what a magical and unforgettable experience we had! You can see the Catskill Mountains from the property and the views are breathtaking. The owner, Ms. Gioja was truly wonderful and she made the planning process seamless for us. Which was so important, because it was my first time and she was patient and so very accommodating. It was apparent that she wanted the bride to be happy!!! She was an absolute blessing to us and her team as well! Being able to celebrate with our family and friends at a place that added such beauty and magic was what I wanted! I always say to Ms. Gioja that her place makes you feel at peace, being away from the business of this world and to be surrounded by sounds of nature. What a feeling?! Thank you for taking the time to read my review and if you're thinking about having your event at Pine Ridge Farms, you will not regret it!!!”

“The Lucy Brate Barn at Mead Family Farm was the perfect venue for our wedding. From the moment we reached out, they were quick to respond, flexible, and accommodating. The venue itself is stunning, with a scenic, historic, and peaceful setting that made our special day feel truly magical. They handled every detail in a calm, professional manner, making our day seamless and helping us stay relaxed. They truly listened to our vision. It was perfect to have the ceremony outside because the setting is so beautiful. However, we had a rain plan that would have been equally lovely. We had a mobile bar that pulled up right outside the barn, and our guests simply walked outside to get a drink. Nancy and team put up a tent right next to the bar, with lounge chairs and bar tables. We had the barn doors open the entire evening, which provided a nice breeze and allowed our guests to mingle outside and still feel part of the gathering. They were there throughout the wedding day and helped with all the vendors, which made it much easier for us. I can't imagine having our wedding anywhere else - they are so accommodating and gracious, and we are so grateful to have had our wedding in such a special place.”

“Everyone loved our wedding. We had so much fun swimming, boating & fishing in the lake on the days before the wedding. We not only rented the 3 cabins on the property, but we also put up glamping tents near the cabins. We had 32 people staying here for 3 nights and 4 days. We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding and brunch the day after the wedding under a beautiful tent alongside the lake. It was breathtaking. My family and friends can’t stop talking about how much fun our 4 days together were. The owners are in a cabin at the back of the property, so they were there for us whenever we needed them all week.”

“We could not have asked for a more beautiful, inclusive, and accessible venue! Knowing that the vast majority of our guests would have to fly in to our wedding, no matter where we had it, it was important to us that we had a venue we could book for the whole weekend. Combined with all of the amenities Wylder offers, it was a no-brainer. The wedding weekend would not have gone as smoothly as it did without the incredible staff, particularly Andrea and Faith. From the moment of our first phone call until we were leaving the farewell brunch, they took care of us every step of the way. Everyone was so welcoming and accommodating, and Wylder truly felt like our home for the weekend. Highly recommend if you want a beautiful venue (with a lovely rain/cold weather location, which we ended up using), incredible food, and great service!”

“This venue was perfect from start to finish. This hotel/venue has beautiful sweeping Hudson river views. This is a dog friendly venue. It is also only a 25 minute drive from local Albany airport. The venue has a modern industrial vibe. Aaron, Laura and the whole Wire team were very accommodating and kind from day one. This venue is all inclusive. We were were able to book hotel blocks for our guests. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern. We were able to stay in the bridal suite (Heron Suite) for a total of three nights. This room is beautiful, it has a large 4 poster bed, sitting room and huge bathroom with large walk in shower. We had our rehearsal dinner at the Patrick Henry ( one of their restaurants on site), which is adjacent to the venue property. The food was delicious and gave off a casual vibe for out of town guests as they were arriving. The day of the wedding the bride and groom have their own beautiful getting ready rooms. The bridal getting ready room had a lot of natural light and salon style chairs for hair and makeup. The morning after the wedding we had our brunch at the Day line Roof top bar, which is another restaurant on the property. The food was a delicious breakfast buffet. If you are looking for a beautiful venue thats all inclusive that your guests can stay at all weekend long and enjoy themselves, this is it!”

“My daughter’s wedding was a Birch Hill Catering. I cannot recommend this venue enough. The outdoor ceremony was lovely and required only the most basic of flowers and décor due to the natural beauty of the surroundings. The ballrooms are gorgeous and she chose the one with the stunning atrium glass. It seated 165 people while still leaving plenty of dancing room, DJ booth, and food stations. The cocktail hour was indoor/outdoor on the patio and it was perfect. Now let me talk about our most favorite things. First off, the staff, namely Serena. She is fantastic! She was extremely helpful in working out the details for the event and her communication was top notch through the whole year of planning. On the day of the event, Serena seemed to have eyes and ears everywhere noticing any little detail that needed addressing, taking care of it herself calmly and confidently, and when needed, discreetly asking about a little decision or two for which she needed my input. She also took video and photos during the event. While waiting for the professional photographs for weeks, this was such a nice surprise to receive! Emily was her assistant and very willing and helpful as well. Second, the food. Wow, the food here is just delicious! The choices are abundant and everything was just mouthwatering. It is one of the big reasons we chose this venue and it didn’t disappoint. The carving station and mac n cheese were highlights. They offer so many fun add on’s like late night snack and ice cream stations which since there is not a noise ordinance to worry about, are nice additions to a reception that can go later into the night. Lastly, the fireworks. So, my daughter had her heart set on these and to be honest, my husband and I questioned whether it would be worth it or not. Let me tell you it was worth it, SO worth it. It was a professional show that rivaled that of a lot of professional 4th of July shows! It was spectacular and the photos taken of the bride and groom with huge fireworks going off right above them are awesome! We don't have the pro ones yet but even the cell phone ones are great so we can only imagine. It was an add on we did not regret as our guests were truly in awe. We had many come up to us to share it was a top wedding they had ever attended. Our daughter hugged us at the end of the night thanking us for her fantasy wedding. Thank you to Serena and Birch Hill for making that happen! We will never forget the night.”

“One of the most beautiful things that came out of the weekend was watching our friends become friends with each other. People who had been complete strangers before our wedding are now flying to visit each other without even needing us to be there. What more could you ask for? The Maples gave everyone the space to relax, connect, laugh, and actually be together for an entire weekend - and that is something we never could have created anywhere else. What makes The Maples even more special is the community Katie has built around it. The relationships she has formed with people throughout the town and upstate are priceless, and they became such an important part of our wedding experience. These aren't just vendors on a preferred-vendor list—they are incredible people who genuinely care. We sent our wedding guests to Middleburgh Coffee Company during the weekend for coffee, and the owner, Dasha, hand-delivered honey from her bees to us the day after our wedding as a thank-you. In what world does that happen?! Rob from Rob's Roasts sent bags of coffee to our apartment before the wedding so we could taste different roasts and choose what we wanted. Brian from the Dumpling Wagon let us sample everything during one of our planning meetings with Katie. Paloma, our florist, absolutely blew us away - we were genuinely speechless the first time we saw what she had created at the reception, and Katie's vision for the pavilion was pure magic. And the care didn't stop when the wedding started. Our bar stayed open an extra 15 minutes just for us. At our family croquet party and welcome party the day before, Richard from Bars Without Boundaries stayed open for the entire time, foregoing our scheduled 3 hour break and would literally come out and hand-deliver drinks to us in the middle of a croquet game. Our photographer, Shelby, stayed an entire extra hour because she wanted to capture our T-shirt toss and sent us previews that same night. These little things might sound small, but they are exactly what made the entire weekend feel so unbelievably special. We had so many guests tell us that it was the best and most authentic wedding they had ever attended. That word - authentic - means so much to us because that was exactly what we wanted. We wanted a wedding that felt like us, and Katie somehow understood that from our very first conversation. We would not change a single thing. If you are considering The Maples Estate, choose it. Choose Katie and Louis. You will have the most beautiful, joyful, completely personal wedding imaginable, and you will get to actually enjoy every second of it. We cannot recommend them highly enough. Our wedding weekend was truly utter magic, and we will be forever grateful to Katie, Louis, their incredible team, and the entire community they've built around The Maples for giving us the best weekend of our lives.”

“My wife and I came to them on short notice and with a lot of stress due to the time/money expenses of planning the big day. Renee was unfailingly kind, endlessly patient and always upbeat. Putting it simply, the crew at Adena are wonderful people who are very good at their job. The day itself went off without a single hiccup. Every typical issue that we encountered - such as delays on our part, or things I forgot- was handled before I even fully aware of it. They did their jobs calmly and joyfully, and helped reassure my anxious wife (and my surprisingly anxious self). The location is absolutely beautiful, maintained expertly and decorated perfectly. Our reception was elegant and rustic, with clear views of the blue sky outside making a very pretty backdrop to celebration. The Wooded Cathedral was where we had our reception, and I highly recommend it to anyone who’s dreamed of an outdoor wedding in the country. My wife and I are so happy that we switched venues to Adena. We’re thrilled that they’ve left us with these memories, and we are so happy to call the team at Adena friends. Thank you guys for helping us start a marriage on the highest possible note.”

“We chose Hotel Lilien for our intimate wedding (about 30 adults and 10 kids) without ever having visited New York — and it exceeded every expectation. Planning from afar could have been stressful, but Jules was incredible. She was so patient, thoughtful, and accommodating with our many questions, which gave us so much confidence every step of the way. The entire team truly treats you like family. Our guests still talk about how warm and welcoming everyone was, along with how special the whole weekend felt. The lush mountain scenery made everything effortless — we were able to keep our florals simple and let the natural beauty shine. We stayed Thursday through Sunday and honestly wished we could have stayed even longer to soak it all in. Hotel Lilien is more than a venue — it’s an experience we’ll cherish forever.”

The Caboose
Rating: 5.0 (4 reviews)
Hudson, NY
  • Up to 184 guests
  • All-inclusive
  • Indoor & outdoor
  • Starts at $45,000

Welcome to The Caboose, a stunning 3,500-square-foot space steeped in Hudson Valley history, reimagined for an open, modern feel that’s both communal and cosmopolitan. With its soaring beamed ceilings and expansive cathedral windows, The Caboose is truly the best wedding venue in Hudson, NY and the perfect spot to host your next seated event, where guests can enjoy a seasonal farm-to-table menu curated by Executive Chef Nicole LoBue. After dinner, continue the fun with dancing and drinking, or simply step outside to watch the sun set on our lush private garden filled with over 14,000 perennials. Whatever you decide, The Caboose is the space to enjoy all the modern amenities you’ve come to expect from a venue like ours — including killer sound and PA systems and aesthetic finishes like warm woods, cool marbles and stone, and hand-finished metals, all accomplished without sacrificing our commitment to being 100% carbon-neutral — because we love our planet as much as we do our guests.

Why you'll love this venue

  • Both indoor and outdoor options
  • Picturesque garden backdrop
  • Has a fun and festive vibe

Venue considerations

  • Not wheelchair accessible
  • Best for events with big guest lists
  • No on-site guest accommodations
“We had a roundabout journey to The Caboose, but I couldn't be happier that it's where we landed for our wedding in September '25. From the jump, we appreciated the gorgeous space, their commitment to doing right by the planet, and the affiliation with Kitty's—some of our favorite food in Hudson. The combination of a beautiful garden and stunning indoor space made us feel like we were safe no matter the weather. Every time we visited, the garden got better. We loved how lush and colorful it was for our day. We enjoyed working with Caitlin, the venue manager. She was creative and flexible and willing to work with us to do a few things a little differently (like have the ceremony in a different spot in the garden). The food was truly incredible—we still have people raving about it! We appreciated that because we were right on the edge seasonally, we were able to choose the summer menu instead of the one for fall, which felt just right for the day's weather and feeling. Because we had our tasting in February, we weren't able to try most of the items we had, but we trusted we were in good hands—and we definitely were. The kitchen team was also incredibly accommodating with our guest's dietary restrictions—everyone felt very cared for, which is what we hoped for the most! We had live music as well as a DJ and everything sounded truly great in the space. The staff working on our day was SO kind and helpful—people made mention of how warm everyone was, too. I saw many a chitchat at the bar, just because they were so lovely! Just a note, too, that while The Caboose was pricey, we were totally amazed by the value and all that they take care of. We looked at dozens of venues—from full-service spots to DIY operations—and kept coming back to the mix of creativity, value, and quality that The Caboose offered. The fact that they take care of the food, drinks, furniture rentals, lighting, sound system, and staff—and all at such a high caliber—unheard of! We truly couldn't have done it without them. Our guest still text me about all his food. Brittany was amazing. I had last minute changes out of my control and she always found the best way to make things work! Tim the Banquet manager was always around ready to make sure it all ran smoothly. Ryan the lift operations manager kept Brittany updated on the weather day of and when it didn’t look good at the bottom he drove up to make sure he truly had say no to us going to the summit (it was 30 degrees with 45 kt winds) he and his crew opened the lift for 2 hours the next day so we could still get our summit pictures and they all had smiles on their faces. Truly every staff member had an impact in making our day more than we could of dreamed for! “Weddings can be incredibly stressful and sometimes not go as you planned, but I can guarantee The Edison Downtown staff will make your special day the best wedding or event you’ve ever had. Jena, our wedding coordinator and Bylinda, the owner, truly went above and beyond any of my expectations for my wedding day. The attention to care to not only myself but all family members and party members was impeccable. The organization and leadership day of from Jena highly attributes to the perfection and smoothness of our wedding. She was there late the night before and there bright and early the day of to make sure everything we wanted was done correctly and done timely. She made sure to keep to our schedule and even if there were any bumps in our timeline, she handed it for us. She paid incredible attention to detail to both our wedding and after party, as we had a completely different themed event also at the venue slightly after our wedding ended. I’m sure this made it more difficult than usual for the staff, but Jena handled the organization of all of our decor and organization of the staff and people involved like a seasoned professional. The food from Season’s Catering was divine and some of the best food we can recall having at a wedding or other event in a very, very long time. Our guests cannot stop talking about how absolutely delicious all of the food was, how gorgeous and unique the venue was, and how it was one of the best weddings they have attended. From the bartender to the servers, everyone was so sweet and seemed so excited to be working our wedding day. I didn’t know exactly what to expect planning my first wedding, but was so thankful for having Bylinda and having Jena from the venue to handle everything. Any event at The Edison Downtown is worth every penny. We cannot thank everyone enough for all of the effort they put into our special day.”

“When we first booked Glen Sanders, someone told my mother that Glen Sanders runs like a well-oiled wedding machine. They were spot on. Glen Sanders knows weddings. Every vendor was thrilled to hear we were working with them. They made the entire process so easy, so clear. Maki, our bridal attendant, was INCREDIBLE. She greeted us off the bus with our champagne flutes, made sure I was hydrated all during photos, helped me with my dress, and brought me down my sneakers at the reception, among many other things. Glen Sanders also sets up all of your cocktail hour Hors d'œuvres in a separate room for you to eat before going to your reception, and it was the moment my husband and I needed to catch our breath and feel "present" for the rest of the night. People often say their wedding was a blur, but we remember every detail thanks to that moment to pause. As for the venue itself, all of our guests still talk about how great of a setup it was. We got ready on-site (groomsmen downstairs, bridesmaids upstairs, MOG got her hair done in the salon downstairs), our cocktail hour outside and on the enclosed porch, the reception in the ballroom, our after party in the basement bar (Speak-easy vibes!), and then we stayed up with close friends and siblings around the fire until the early hours before going to sleep in our rooms on-site! Glen Sanders is certainly a one-stop shop for everything, and their product is unparalleled. Thank you, GSM team, for the best night of our lives! -Elaina and Bill”

“We had the most perfect wedding weekend at Vanderbilt a few weeks ago. We had our joint bachelor-bachelorette party from Wednesday to Friday, our rehearsal dinner there on Friday, and then the most incredible wedding on Saturday. Every single aspect of our experience was absolutely wonderful. The place itself is stunning. Every room has a different vibe, and there is so much space to hang out. The outdoor deck, views, and landscaping really sold us on Vanderbilt; you feel totally immersed in nature while staying close to everything. Vanderbilt is also so close to Hudson, so going into town for a night out was easy and super fun. From the moment we inquired about availability back in November of last year, we knew we were in good hands with Henrietta. She doesn’t miss a beat and is so attentive, down-to-earth, and kind. She’s a wonderful communicator and worked seamlessly with our month-of coordinator and all of our vendors. She and her husband Matt (the Chef) are truly what make Vanderbilt so special. The food is absolutely delicious, and we're a picky group. Coming from NYC, we have high expectations and didn't want anything that resembled "wedding food," and Chef Matt did an incredible job. If we had just one of his dishes at a normal restaurant, we would be regulars. He was also super accommodating when it came to customizing both our rehearsal dinner and wedding menus. Also, the signature drinks they offer are delicious and super creative. The staff they hire as servers and bartenders are incredible too. They're total pros and make the entire event feel warm and fun. Every guest felt taken care of. I wish we could get married again just to relive this experience! Our wedding was over two weeks ago, and we're still having friends and family tell us that it was the best wedding they've ever been to.”
