“The photographer, videographer, and photo booth was absolutely perfect and our guests had a blast! However, even after going through the work of submitting a Spotify play list and adding do not play songs or DJ played the wrong version of our first dance song (I checked and we had the correct version listed on our playlist we sent over), he also played songs from our do not play list to the point I, the bride, came over to ask if he had the wrong list. He admitted he was using songs from the do not play list as he was not paying attention. I would also like to note, though our wedding was more casual, our DJ was dressed in a sloppy manner. His shirt was half untucked from his pants, there were stains on his shirt and pants. Besides a few hiccups, direct Entertainment was wonderful to work with!”

“Having Cascade Live Events as our DJ vendor was easy, affordable, fun, affirming, and common-sense. We booked Mike Steltz, Co-Founder, as our DJ. Where to start! First off, Mike was SO affordable for what we were looking for; we built a custom package based on our specific needs, and he was flexible priced it reasonably. Second, Mike was flexible and chill about changes along the way; we postponed a year due to COVID concerns, and after a quick chat he promptly sent us a subcontract confirming the new dates. No hassle at all! And day-of he was laid-back and professional when inclement weather forced us to relocate the dance floor. We also want to note that as an LGBT couple Cascade Live Events felt LGBT friendly affirming. We were transparent about ourselves from the first conversation, and explained we also had a lot of LGBT community coming; Mike used our pronouns, was comfortable enjoyed playing the queer music we asked for, and worked hard to make us our guests feel comfortable and affirmed the day of. Mike is NOT your corny old man DJ playing at a long island wedding (lol): he is young, super chill, and easy to work with. Fourth, Mike did a good job staying in touch with the audience on the dance floor. He played the tunes we asked for, but he didn't act as a living spotify playlist; he remixed some FIRE tunes, and pulled from similar genrestime periods to keep the energy up on the dance floor. He was in tune with the vibe of the party! At our request he had obscure gay club songs AND interspersed more familiar tunes. As a testiment to Mike's skills the dance floor was open for 3 hours and even though we had a small guest count we had 9 people dancing till the very end. Cannot recommend this vendor highly enough! (Side note: it was important to us that all our vendors had dinner, breaks, and a fun time too. Cascade Live Events did have dinner written in their contract, but not everyone did. Vendors are also human beings, and they were integral parts of our wedding! We encourage all wedding couples, regardless of who they book [tho u SHOULD book Cascade Live Events lol], to also be considerate and chill with their vendors. It makes a huge difference & reduces stress for everyone the day of. :))”

My brother-in-law wanted to play a piece on a keyboard for part of his speech and Gemma worked with us in providing an amp so everyone could hear the piece. The majority of our guests (we had a lot) either didn’t leave the dance floor or kept coming back! As the bride I only left to cool off then right back out to the best dancing songs he was playing. He narrated our guys vs girls flip cup game and even judged (girls won by default). All around an amazing job and I’d recommend him to anyone looking for a fun DJ who isn’t afraid to lend a hand and help get the job done, even if it’s a bit out of his job description. Thank you!”

Also I appreciate that he read and followed through with all the small notes we left for him (specifically we asked for father/daughter, mother/son and first dance to end after the chorus and not play the entire 3-4 minutes). “Before planning anything else about our wedding we already knew that the most important thing was going to be making sure it had an incredible dance floor. We had been joking during planning that a wedding was the biggest party you’ll ever throw and we wanted everyone to remember having fun dancing the night away. Matt at Supersounds made sure that that dream came true. It is clear why Supersounds was on all of our vendors’ recommended lists; they are all incredibly professional, organized, responsive, and kind. After talking with Matt we knew he would be the perfect DJ for our wedding. It was clear he was both easy going but passionate about what he does. Throughout the planning process he was able to give us advice on ceremony logistics, music, and cut together our first dance song. He helped explain what his role usually was on the wedding day and made sure that it agreed with our vision. He did an excellent job mixing the ceremony and adjusting the volumes on the microphone on the fly so that all of the audience was able to hear throughout. We had a lot of music that we knew we wanted played at the reception and cocktail hour and Matt hit all of our must plays while mixing in some extra songs that the crowd loved. The dance floor was alive the entire party and he even surprised us by sneaking in an extra final song by our favorite artist. All of our friends have told us what a great time they had at our wedding and it was in no small part thanks to Matt and Supersounds! They’re insanely talented, wildly fun, and just so warm and genuine. You can tell they truly love what they do and they care deeply about making the night unforgettable, not just for your guests, but for you. And not to be dramatic, but the bridezilla in me definitely came out when it came to the playlist, however the band handled it with such kindness and professionalism. They actually listened to what we wanted, learned and performed 3 or 4 songs just for us, and completely nailed them. That meant so much to us. They made us feel like total rockstars, hyped the crowd like pros, and somehow made every moment feel both epic and personal. If you’re even thinking about hiring The Barnstorm, do it. You will not find a more fun, more talented, or more genuinely caring band. We love them so much and will be forever grateful they were part of our day.”

“Nathan helped make our wedding day so special! Throughout the planning process, he took the time to really go through the details of our day and get to know us. He got excited about our ideas and gave great suggestions on how to bring them to life. On the wedding day, Nathan helped make sure everything ran smoothly, coordinating with other vendors and our friends and family to make sure everyone had what they needed from before the ceremony through the end of the night. He knew we wanted to do our first dance and toasts outside during cocktail hour, right before sunset, so he made sure to check in with us to get the timing just right, and it was magical! During dinner, we had curated a playlist of first dance songs from our guests, and he helped create so many special moments by encouraging folks to get up and dance when they heard their song, and stayed flexible when we were ready to get dancing started. The reception was an absolute blast and my dream dance floor. The end of the night was perfection with several "last songs" and getting to soak it all in in a circle of our favorite people. Nathan is an expert and the whole night flowed so perfectly with so many core memories created. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!”

They were wonderful to deal with from the initial inquiry to post wedding follow-up. They were very easy to communicate with initially and have a great repertoire of songs to choose from! They even learned some new songs that we requested for recessional/processional etc. They played a variety of beautiful songs during our ceremony and cocktail hour. They were extremely professional and wonderfully talented artists. All of our guests commented on how enjoyable they were to listen to while mingling during cocktail hour. I would highly recommend having them play at your wedding!”
